It's one of the few that really cover more than the others. Always buy the premium policy. I used to fix appliance's for 18 years and First American actually pays. I'm retired and wouldn't trust any other. Most of the others have little loopholes to deny coverage. Definitely the best, I've had it for years.

Renewed my home warranty recently. Price went up of course, but no problems in the first year with this company.
Let me start by saying that I have been with the company for over 14 years. I opened a case in 11/2024 regarding my refrigerator leaking which was contracted out to Yota Home Services. After several attempts at the repair and turning the water on and off to my refrigerator the water valve was stuck in the on position and they were not able to turn it off. Due to Yota Home Services negligence, I ask my representative Armando Chojolan to have FAHW cover the cost or send someone to fix the Water Valve to my refrigerator and my calls have gone ignored as if ignoring me solves the problem. I have been dealing with this issue for 5 months and this has been so frustrating. FAHW will not stand by their contractors if they damage something in your home while doing a repair. I continue to try and get this issue resolved. I have called so many times and emailed and left messages and the fact still remains that Yota Home Services damaged the water valve to my refrigerator and now I cannot turn the water off which hinders any future repairs to my refrigerator if needed. All I ask is for FAHW TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THEIR CONTRACTOR. If I could I would rate the experience less than 1 star.
$100 DEDUCTIBLE FOR NO SERVICED WORK. Paid $100 to have my water softener looked into why it was not using salt. FAHW contracted Green Home Master LLC out of Las Vegas Nevada who was 90 late, requiring me to take off a full day of work. Only for the technician to have me open the garage door and tell me this unit is unserviceable, please call the warranty back. GREEN HOME LLC Didn't look at the unit, didn't make an attempt, if he did, he would realize the unit was unplugged and the water safety control valve was tripped. Keep in mind I only needed help with programming my head unit a FLECK 5600SM. This unit also had a cracked brine grid at the bottom of the salt, which I purchased for $18 at Home Depot, which wasn't even necessary. The fact that I had to remove all the salt and clean the system and do this myself is absurd. If I pay a company for work, I want the work performed. If I do not get acknowledgment from this company and a refund of my $100 deductible i will open up a dispute process and cancel the warranty entirely. I pay for service to get service, not sit on YouTube realizing how I can fix the unit myself. I expect to be contacted this Literally took me flipping a switch and plugging in the unit for a resolution. PATHETIC! GET A RESPONSE TO MY FEEDBACK ASKING ME TO PROVIDE THE CLAIM NUMBER. My refrigerator has been broken for nearly a month and First American is giving me the runaround. They hired Sears who has scheduled and no showed 6 appointments. I have reached out to them daily and their only response is we will escalated it. I have spoken with supervisors, and sears. No one is helping me. They all say they will call me back but they NEVER do. Luz was supposed to call today since Sears missed my appointment yesterday. Them spending my day calling them and sears…… what are they doing for me???? I have missed a whole week of work trying to get my refrigerator fixed. This warranty company is useless!!!
Their first attempt at fixing my washing machine failed so when I request a second attempt their service failed and disappeared. They would not send a second technician and told me to find my own repair person. When my repair person documented that the machine could not be repaired, the only thing First American would do is cover the service call. My request for a replacement kept being ignored and all they did is give me a bunch of excuses. I have been a customer for over 10 years, but this will be my last year!!!!!!!!!! After I submitted this review, FAHW requested more details from Trustpilot so they could review my case. Of course nothing happened once I provided the case number to FAHW because my review was the truth and FAHW had no grounds to deny it. It’s amazing how they claim to provide professional repair experts and then suddenly they tell the customer to find their own repair person. But then FAHW will not listen to the customer’s repair person who says it is unrepairable. Then FAHW claims it has found parts that will maybe fix it but will not provide someone to install them and test it. Even though the customer has proof it cannot be fixed, FAHW will not replace it - they will give us money to buy their part with no guarantee it will work and no one to install it. So we are stuck with a broken machine, some parts and dirty clothes. FAHW responded to this review. In their long respond they quoted their policy of “their right to choose a service provider “ so why did they make me get my own repair person after theirs failed to fix the problem. They claim to have found the part, but where is their repair person to install it???? They left me no choice but to get a new machine to wash a month’s worth of laundry. Yes. They did not approve the purchase but how long do I need to wait for them to help me???
