First American home warranty plans provide a safeguard for your budget when your home’s systems and appliances break down. When a covered item unexpectedly stops working, we’re here to help with getting it working again. As a leader in the home warranty industry since 1984, you can count on the protection, experience and stability of First American Home Warranty. Appliances and home systems will eventually fail. It’s unavoidable. A home warranty offers you a renewable service contract you can use to protect systems in your home such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical, as well as major appliances like your dishwasher, oven, clothes washer/dryer, refrigerator, and more. With our home warranty protection, when a covered item breaks, we’ll send a pre-screened service contractor to your home to diagnose the issue. Many of our customers request service multiple times each year and save hundreds to thousands of dollars on repair and replacement costs. These types of mechanical failures are typically not covered by your homeowners insurance, so a home warranty can help bridge that gap in protection by shielding your budget from these sudden expenses. Benefits of a First American home warranty: • A simple solution when something breaks • Protection from huge, unexpected repair or replacement bills • 24/7 service requests • Unlimited service calls We offer a variety of affordable warranty plans and options so you can customize your coverage to fit your home and budget. The only issue I had was not having enough notice that the delivery was about 15 min out . Actually the second time I had no notice. Other than that all went well.

Ease of use - very professional
The representative provided highly successful information as well critical insight in resolving my problem. Great experience.
In my newly purchased house, I went through some flooring renovations. One of the places was the kitchen, and because of that, the dishwasher was uninstalled during the kitchen reflooring. I saw that the dishwasher's electrical line has no ground line. Since I am an electrical engineer, I know how dangerous the lack of a ground line can be. The appliance can electrocute the user, even though it is still operational without tripping the switch. So, it is a safety issue. Hence, the dishwasher cannot be usable because of this safety issue. I requested a service from FAHW. An electrician from the assigned contractor came by and inspected by taking several pictures to document the improperness of the electrical line of the dishwasher. He said he would submit a report to FAHW. After waiting 5 days by calling FAHW and the contractor many times, I have been informed by FAHW that the dishwasher can still be operated even though there is a safety issue. I was suggested to check the home inspection, where this kind of deep inspection was never done. After all these warranty illusions of FAHW, I am alone by myself with the safety issue because the electrocution is OK for FAHW. FAHW also refused to refund the service fee, though no result from the request.
