Get aerial images, video, and data nationwide at a fraction of the cost and time with DroneBase
Great app great company. So much room to grow as a pilot and a business. Highly recommended!!!
I have done a few client based missions and the payout was great. Uploaded the files and paid out within 15 minutes of accepting. Spare time I uploaded stock footage for the Getty missions and was paid out the next day of approval. Until last month, things have changed. I haven’t received any client based missions even with all the training I did with DroneBase. Would get a new mission every 3-4 weeks. Not sure if clients are not looking in my area anymore or DroneBase has other plans ahead without notice. With the Getty missions, they are vague with answers. Keep getting “robotic” emails. Uploaded over a dozen files of stock footage. No payouts yet. It’s been over a month. Give us some straight answers DroneBase. You were the best in the industry. Now it seems you’re slowly fading out.
Dronebase is the best. Can’t wait for shutterstock mission to launch. But sadly almost for a month now my Getty mission still pending
Drone base is easy to work with and respond to questions and payout rapidly. However the missions usually do not pay well and the payouts are going down.
Very good expierence. Jobs were clear and easy to complete and payment happend immediately after upload and the verification of required objectives.
Unfortunately my experience was less than stellar. The shots were not centered and they were far too zoomed out to be effective. I raised a complaint about the quality of the assets and I was basically told that's the way it is. I reiterated that the shots weren't even centered on the video and they agreed to re-shoot the poor shots on a Friday following a "consult with the flight team." That was then canceled and they were shot on the following Sunday. To be fair, the redone shots were centered and of a better quality, but they were too late. Not only did my client wait for the first (sub par quality) shots, but then I was late delivering the redone shots since they got pushed. I would be wary of using this company for any sort of real estate work. They seem to be all over the board in terms of what is quality work. Paid $200 to potentially lose a client of mine for late delivery.
It is important to have a point of contact name and number. Also the location should be physically described. Directions from the nearest main public street to the location should be given. Instructions about the photos should be detailed and correct. Example instructions that say give an altitude of 100 feet to photograph 70 acres is not feasible.
Been working with Dronebase for almost 2 years now. The job offers have been great and pay is completed quickly upon transfer of assets.
Super clear instructions and easy submittal process!!
DroneBase has been very easy to work with, its an easy way to make some extra cash. I couldn't see this every being a full time position, but like I said it does give you extra cash. I have already made enough to pay for both of my drones. I would like to see DroneBase add a feature where you can let them know if your traveling that way you can do jobs in the area if available.
I have completed over 30 missions but they are now only rarely offered. I know I'm not alone because DB pilots communicate with each other on Facebook and many say the same thing. This is unfortunate because they paid fast and always responded immediately to any questions I had. I don't know what happened but I hope it's not a permanent thing. The only thing I can guess is they are more geared to the Getty type missions now. I submitted about 10 and most of them were accepted. The only problem is at $15 each it's hard to justify the gas money sometimes.
Quick payout and fast turnaround with communications.
Amazing customer service and timely responses! The photos always turn out perfect and are exactly what we need!
Communication for DroneBase has been good. Clear examples and focus on the client.
