This is a Pandemic Proof Job. You can do it by yourself. It pays same day. It is a great way to build flight time. You can pretty much set your own schedule. A great way to get out of the house for a reason. I have bene with them for 2 years! Love it.

DroneBase is perfect if you want to get paid to fly your drone. I have flown a couple mapping missions. Their KML download is great, the drone does it all for you. I have done a lot of roof inspections. The team is always easy to work with. They are very timely with email communications. You take the pictures, upload to their site, they do everything else. You know up front how much the job pays, how many buildings there are and what city so you can determine if the job is worth it to you. You get paid within a few days of uploading the pictures. I love DroneBase! Matt W Twin cities, MN Edit after 5 years: Since the company renamed to Zeitview, their payouts have sunk so low they aren’t worth flying for anymore. Payouts have cut in half when they should have gone up to keep pace with inflation. If you are a noob who would just be happy to get your first couple of paid gigs and flight experience, and you don’t know any better yet, then they are for you. But after you realize your worth, the cost of flying, you’ll start to understand the payout isn’t worth the time. I have rejected the same job up to 10 times on more jobs than I can count but they keep sending them to me even when I get nasty in emails telling them to stop. Go to drone pilot forums and ask about Zeitview and let the entertainment begin of all the pilots bashing them.

My last mission was more involved than any other mission that I've had. I always check airspace to make sure that I can accept each mission. When I arrived to fly my Dji controller showed that I was in a No-Fly zone. That's never happened before. I was frustrated and couldn't figure out what to do. I emailed DroneBase support. They quickly responded with an answer. I finished the mission and now I am better prepared for the next time.

Some of the software needs a bit of an update but the support people are very helpful. Good group to fly for.

Haven't received as many opportunities I thought I would. Possibly the Covid-19 pandemic. Overall, the experience with mission I have accomplished was very good and compensated very quickly.

While a good concept, drone base fails to deliver consistent work. I receive mission requests few and far between. Their platform is also finicky and often times frustrating to navigate. I have also had issues in the past with being sent to the wrong location.

Missions are few and far between. Would accept more if they would send them. Pay is ok but could be better.
