Clear and easy to follow instructions to prepare a great meal. All seasonings and spices included ready measured which was usefull. Needed measuring spoons for some quantities. Clear information to help plan preparation and which order to prepare components. Good tasty meal that we enjoyed.
Did delivery on the day agreed and didn't update to inform of the delay at any time. Was a present so difficult to manage expectations. Once gotten in touch they did deliver the next week. Food was tasty but need to look at a different delivery firm and customer information
The Chicken for my katsu smelled like it was off so I put it in the bin and used chicken I purchased. It is a very time consuming recipe.

Beautiful date night meal, perfect ingredients and stunning results! Amazed at what we were capable of producing (with a LOT of help from The Cookaway, of course!)
I have had wonderful experiences with cook away - great menus, I love that all the base ingredients are included, and they just recently included a timing sheet so you can schedule how you cook. It is really a great experience if you like to cook! I feel like a professional chef when I do one of their boxes, and my guests always walk away full and happy (me too!). Best meal in a box kit, hands down! The Japanese Okonomiyaki was a great treat and experience to learn how to cook that. The Greek brunch box is a favorite for a nice comfort food meal. I was lucky to get the Wild Venison Scottish Feast with all the extras, and wow, what a fantastic meal. I still joke about how much scotch and oats were used (but with great results). The Tapas feasting experience is probably at the bottom of the list, but still yummy and fun to cook.
I have tried quite a lot of Cookaway menu’s and have always thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The ingredients were wonderfully packed, the recipe cards are clear and easy to follow. Best of all are the results. Experiencing food from all over the world, full of flavour and from my kitchen. Fantastic.
Excellent choice of menus, great ingredients and clear instructions. A fun and different way to enjoy an eat in treat or to share with family/friends. Good size portions and everything packaged well.
Great food, easy to make and tasty, delivered on time!
The main problem was that the main ingredient for one of the dishes was missing. Unfortunately we didn't realise this until cooking on a Sunday evening, so couldn't even go to the shops to replace it. The recipes also took much longer than it said (I was in the kitchen for 3 hours) and one of them didn't work very well. So, although it was all quite tasty (if a bit unbalanced and lacking in veg), it was more expensive, way more hassle and not actually tastier than getting a takeaway from our local (which to be fair is exceptionally good).

The meal was very yummy. We really enjoyed it. Very tasty. The menu directions are very easy to follow. It is brilliant that you do not need to take out a subscription - I avoid such firms! Only one issue in the Vegetarian Paella that we ordered - The recipe stated sweet smoked paprika and hot smoked paprika in different quantities. I therefore expected 2 separate packets. I only received one pack of smoked paprika with no identification of whether it was hot or sweet. As I do not like very hot food, I had to resort to using cupboard ingredients. However, a small issue that can easily be rectified. I will be ordering from Cookaway again.
Food was incredibly tasty, packaging was great, food was fresh. Should have disclosed that we needed a hand blender, because making the homemade mayonnaise was a complete waste of time and energy unfortunately just with a handheld whisk!

Received as a gift. Very happy with delivery and attention to detail with regards to the packaging of ingredients and cooking instructions. Bit more work than expected in getting the meal together but thoroughly enjoyed it and plenty over for another meal. Ingredients were excellent quality. I had difficulty ordering the kit at first as there was a glitch on the website but on contacting Cookaway, this was resolved very quickly and efficiently.
