Goan chicken Xacuti A delicious meal. Fun to prepare. But a lot of hard work
Wonderful food and was delivered right on time the recipe was easy to follow.
Delivery was quick, but eggs arrived broken leaving a mess to be cleared up. Recipe was good but overall quite expensive compared to shopping for oneself.
I was gifted the Spanish Gambas and Orzo. The first available delivery was in 3 days and I got a 1-hour delivery slot on the day. The packaging was good and everything was intact. I got some free low-alcohol beers. I'm not a beer drinker myself but freebies are always good. The recipe cards looked nice. I simplified the orzo recipe myself as it seemed unnecessarily complicated. The prawns were big and juicy and the taste was good. The portion size was tiny though. On the website it says it's for 2-3 people although the cards say 2. Either way I ate the whole thing myself and I'm quite a small woman. The number of prawns was okay (for me) but I think 100g of orzo is too little. Even the recipe card says it should be 125g... for 2 people... still not very much. I was happy to receive it as a gift anyway. I've had a look at what else is available. There isn't a big range but there are a couple of other recipes that interest me. I'm not sure it's worth it though really. Price wise it doesn't compare well to other meal kits. I think as a one-off or as a present it's a nice idea but nothing more than that.

Fantastic food- great quality and tasted amazing We are pretty keen and experienced 'chefs' and the recipes were pretty complex and time consuming. If you want something quick and easy, this is maybe not for you. If you want to spend an afternoon/evening in the kitchen with a glass of wine, this is perfect

The meal was tasty and the ingredients were of good quality and fresh. It all arrived on time and communications from Cookaway were excellent. The instructions were clear and attractive. If anything, the kit was overpackaged and the meal took longer to prepare that we had expected, largely because there were so many small-scale ingredients. Having said that, we were very satisfied with the result.

Unfortunately - I bought this as a gift for my business partner and whilst everything arrived as planned for the Chicken Souvlaki - the Chicken was gristly and had to be thrown away (my colleague had to go and buy his own chicken breasts). The advert also suggested there was enough for 4-5 (which was one reason i bought it - for a family treat) and he had to add extra to ingredients to ensure they had a decent meal. I complained via their email / website and never received a reply. Sadly felt let down by the product and service. Thanks
Amazing food kit with absolutely everything included. A bit of prep work required, but excellent results and loads of food, enough for 3.
The food arrived on time was sensibly packed and most re-cycled. The food was fresh and I enjoyed the preparations and helpful pictures. The problem I had that there was far too much and will probably have to bin 50%, there are two of us with average appetites suggestions on dealing with left overs would be helpful.I shall reserve future orders for big occasions
We received this a Christmas gift and ordered it to arrive a few days later. The preparation does take a bit longer than I’d have hoped but the result was fantastic. The side dishes were really appropriate to compliment the main dish. It was very tasty and enjoyed by my husband and myself. There are also leftovers for a second meal.
Food was very fresh and of good quality. All ingredients required were supplied and detailed recipes included.

We had the tapas feasting experience for 2/3. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, everything you needed was there and fresh, instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. The result was several really tasty dishes, generous portions which everyone enjoyed. Reasonable value for money too.

We ordered the Beef Wellington menu box for NYE. Everything arrived when expected and was packaged well. The cooking instructions were clear and easy to follow. We were really impressed with the quality of the food, particularly the beef which was exceptional. The portion size was generous (the box was for people and we ended up with leftovers). Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again.
