I ordered a boot cover for a Range Rover from Car Mats UK in Jan ‘24. It eventually arrived, but did not stick to the sides of the boot, and did not include correct cut outs, covering important access points. When I raised the issue with Car Mars, they said they would send out “better Velcro”. This still didn’t work, and didn’t address the wrong design. I had to pay a restocking fee when I sent it back, and over 2 weeks have passed and I have still not received anything. I would avoid this company.

The “Off road rubber severe weather mats” for my Honda Jazz are nicely made and suitable for all three passenger foot-wells but totally INADEQUATE for the driver. The driver mat supplied is very small and extends neither up under the brake and accelerator pedals nor over the left side foot rest. On the website when ordering these mats the “generic and not car specific photo” shows this type of heavy duty floor mat clearly extending over the left side foot rest of that particular model car. It is VERY deceptive that the mats supplied for my car are not so generously cut. Maybe they should state on their website that the mats are actually no larger than those sold by Honda as OEM. When I wrote to CarMats.co.uk and complained about the small size of the driver’s mat their response that their mat was the same size as the mat supplied by Honda for the Jazz. The fact the OEM mat is inadequate does not mean that aftermarket “Off road rubber severe weather mats” need to be similarly so small. CarMats response was that the small size was necessary to avoid interference with the pedal travel. They stated that "having the mat go under the pedal can be hazardous." It is clear to me that this is a weak reply and that they have never fully investigated the possibility of interference of larger mats in a current generation (2020 to 2024) Honda Jazz. This car is only available with automatic transmission and so the mat will never stop a clutch pedal from being fully depressed. And the brake pedal should can never be depressed fully to the floor unless they are defective In reality, the thickness of the rubber mat is trivial compared to the travel distance available under the pedals! I have tested one of the rear passenger much larger mats in the drivers foot well and there is plenty of space, with no pedal interference up under the pedals. The description on the CarMats website states "Off Road Rubber: For the outdoor lovers. Made from hard wearing rubber. Easy to wipe clean." Sure, the small rubber mat sold for the drivers side foot-well is easy to wipe clean but what about protecting the underlying carpet that Honda trims the entire footwell area underneath the pedals with? Living in wet and muddy Devon I really thought these mats would be good but they do not provide the level of protection I had hoped and was implied on The CarMats website. In summary buy less expensive generic cut-to-fit rubbers mats from Halfords

Having been so disappointed with the quality and wear and tear of your rubber matts and fobbed off with you will send out one replacement drivers side Matt I request a full refund under your 12 months guarantee. I have brought an original Vauxhall Mokka E set of Matt's that not only make yours look like cheap loo roll but are solid and fit for the job they were designed for

I searched a few on the net and ended up here as the price and product seemed the best. The rubber mats tailor made are a good fit and seem to be well worth the money.Well finished with a colour edging and all good.New rubber smell is fading and good job as initially its quite strong. I would buy again definately

[Update: Since posting my initial review, I was sent the correct fittings within 24 hours. They worked ... but it took me a while to figure out how to fit them. I had to use a sharp knife to increase the hole in the mat, and then I put the fittings in upside down. It took me an hour or so in total, eventually. So overall, good quality and good customer service, but instructions for fitting new parts would have been helpful!] [Original review: I am very pleased with the mats, except for one thing. They are well made and fit the area they are designed for. However, the front driver’s side mat keeps riding up into the footwell (towards the pedals). This is rather inconvenient, but also potentially dangerous if it were to affect operation of the pedals. The mats have two bonded holes/grommets, designed to go over two clips set into the floor of the footwell. The clips “swivel” – supposedly so that they can be inserted through the holes/grommets and then twisted in order to secure in place. The problem is that the clips will not go through the holes/grommets. The holes/grommets have a sort of spring-loaded clip, and this is preventing the floor clips to go through the holes/grommets in the mat. I have sent a query to customer services and will edit this review if the problem is solved.]

I bought 4x Citreon C3 Car Mats. The product was sub-standard, the holes to secure the mats didn't (and still don't) fit the clips on the car and now one of the plastic clips holders has fallen off drivers mat after only a month of use. Poor product, cheaply made. Had to buy another set. Couldn't be bothered to return, just won't use them again. On a side note, I'm also being bombarded by their direct selling spam emails.

I placed an order for in excess of £100 on 27 January 2024. When placing the order, the website said that delivery was to be by 31 January 2024. Complete lie and false advertising. I cancelled part of my order on the 28th and received an email on the day to confirm that this part had been cancelled and was duly refunded. On the 29th, I received an email, informing me that my "order had entered production". Obviously, the delivery date of 31 January was out of the question. I emailed their customer service on 6 February and was told "All our products are made to order; they enter our factory for production the working day after you placed your order. We aim to deliver all orders within 9 working days of the production process starting. This order entered production 29/01/24. You will receive a tracking link the evening the mats are dispatched. We are unable to provide estimated dispatch dates for individual orders, ahead of them leaving the factory, due to how our production process works." On the 6th itself, I got an email that a shipment was on its way. I received a package on the 8th, with the wrong item! The item sent to me was the one which I had cancelled! I emailed them on the 8th saying if this is an error, to cancel the rest of the order as well and refund my money. Their response was: "Where possible we try to send out all orders together, however this isn't always possible. Apologies the refunded boot may was sent in error, you do not need to return this." They were under the impression that the car mats were being sent separately, and were good enough to let me keep the car mat (which I don't need!). I emailed again on 14th February, asking for a status update. I was told, on the 15th, that the items had been delivered on the 8th! Amazing! I had to repeat the conversation from the 8th, only to be told that they were sorry that the items had not reached and would refund me the cost. Nearly three weeks after the order was placed! I complained that this level of service was abhorrent and unacceptable and, possibly as a humorous response, I was offered a discount on my next purchase! I made it clear that I would not be placing any further orders, after receiving such bad service this time. When I asked for compensation, I was told that they have apologised for the inconvenience and offered a future discount. They would not offer any compensation. While I appreciate that their items may be great (I will have to take the word of the reviewers before me, the car mat they sent me is still outside awaiting sunlight, since it gives off the lovely smell of rubber) and that their customer service responses are quick, this is a mistake which no customer should have to suffer. I am quite patient with service providers but this has really displeased me! Thanks

Very Poor quality. I ordered "Luxury" and paid the extra for that however the "luxury" standard isn't even as good as other suppliers standard products. Hard to tell what is the carpet side and what is the back side. Plasticky and cheap.....wont be using them again.

Thank you for the replacement boot liner received this morning for our Civic. As the photo shows, it’s a perfect fit! It’s worth noting that the measure of a good company is NOT how they perform when things go well, BUT how well they do when mistakes happen. I have found that CarMats have provided prompt, civilised and excellent service! I have ordered twice previously and had trouble free experiences. On this, the third occasion, the wrong boot mat was sent. I was able, free of charge and with very little hassle, to return the mat. I received the new (correct) mat within a week. I am delighted with the service andI have every confidence in ordering from them! Many thanks!

I ordered prestige mats. They do feel good quality and arrived within 3 days, but having recieved samples of some "standard" mats. I believe these £120 "prestige" mats are the same carpet as the £60 "main dealer" mats. However, these just come with the guarantee that allow a "free" replacement should they wear through. Except it isn't free because its just twice the price. Super deluxe is the same as home comfort just with a thicker base. These are the thickest carpets

I originally ordered mats with trims however, I changed my mind and called 2 days later to ask if I could change to no trims. This was agreed on the phone however, the mats arrived with trims. A quick telephone call and e-mail later and a new set of mats are on their way and told to keep the original mats for spares! Excellent customer service from Amy and the mats (with the trims) are top notch for the price and fit well in my 2020 Tiguan!

Very poor quality mats. Not even a year in and the driver mat need to be replaced even after paying extra for a padded mat. Cheap mats from halfords lasted longer!

Car mats UK - Excellent quality product and customer service. Highly recommend I ordered a Skoda Karoq boot liner and when it was delivered it didn't fit, turns out there are two different boot layouts for different karoq models!! Amy on customer services was excellent, she investigated the issue and they got hold of my model karoq to make a new pattern within days. She kept me informed and was so helpful, lovely lady. The new liner fits perfectly & I'm so happy with it. Definitely would recommend them.

I recieved my mats which when looking at the packaging i thought why so heavy.? Then i opened up the packaging and thank god these were my mats but inside my parcel i recieved someones else. Obviously this is for a christmas present so i recieved mine in time. But as i have someone elses i feel gutted for them.. If you are from wolverhampton and you can supply proof of full address and the writing on the mats then these are yours that i have. My email is laura78nicol@hotmail dot co dot uk we can arrange for you to recieve the mats. Apart from the bungle of my parcel thank you. But more carefulness needs to be had so not to add 2 diffrent orders from 2 diffrent people in one parcel.

I’m not even from anywhere near the UK and I created an account just to post this review, each time I buy a car I order carpet mats from a British seller as here in the Far East drivers tend to favour rubber mats and I hate these, well the carpet mats I’ve just received are some of the plushest and definitely the best for the price by some measure as the last retailer I tried with this grade of carpet charges about 40% more! The quality of the stitching is top-notch with no loose threads or bits and there’s no unpleasant smell as well. Looks like I’ve found a new go-to retailer.
