I have been trying to get a hold of your company for 2 days now and not sure what else to do. I received an email saying my order would be delivered on Saturday the 3rd of September. I did receive an order but it wasn't mine. I emailed the support line but still no response. What do I do with the books I received since they aren't mine, and how do I get the books I ordered. I would really like to speak with someone, please contact me as soon as possible.

Thought I'd give these guys a try. Ordered two books from them. Which I'm still waiting on. 3 days after I ordered one book from one of the competitors and got that book before theirs. Like I said I'm still waiting, lesson learned one and done.

I love shopping from Book Outlet. The only thing keeping this review from being 5 stars is how the books are packaged. They’ll frequently arrive with bent pages, torn dust jackets, and covered in dust and dirt because the books are stacked loosely in a box. Nothing a bit of tape and a wipe can’t fix, and for the price it’s worth the fixes, but the packaging could be more secure to keep the books from shifting around or at least putting the two stacks spine to spine to avoid crushing pages in transit.

Prices were great, got a good deal on (suede?) leather like classic books. One of the books was damaged from another book finding it's way under it's cover in ship, bending it in half. The books weren't seperated or sealed to prevent them damaging each other in shipping. Another had an ink stain on the cover. So if you want perfectly new books, you may want to look somewhere else. But if you don't mind some dings and scuffs, this place has a decent deal for books.

Book Outlet has cancelled several of my orders with no notice or explanation. When questioned why they denied it was on their part and said I cancelled .( never have I cancelled )

Shipment arrived damaged. It appears the the delivery company had to add tape to keep the box intact. On opening the box I was very disappointed to see there was absolutely NO packing material. The books were used as "packing material". One paperback title had a bent cover and a hardback had badly damaged corners. I suggest you have a serious look at your shipping department.

I received my order and it was supposedly a NEW Bible. Bible ordered was an expensive calfskin leather and was not boxed, sealed, wrapped, or protected, just placed in an shipping envelope. The Bible did have some minor scuffs on the gold edge at the top, but nothing major. A NEW NKJV Study Bible comes in a manufacturer box. This should have been described as "Used, Like New, No Box" This was going to be a graduation gift. I contacted "Debbie" as I was also charged tax and in Texas Bibles are not taxed. Debbie was kind to point out, this one did not show a box next to it. Debbie was also kind enough to point out I should have filed for tax exempt before placing my order. It was SUNDAY and there was no way to contact anyone about the website charging tax, I just needed this in time for a graduation gift. After sending Debbie a link to the Texas comptroller website as to what should NOT be taxed, Debbie did credit my tax of $5.06, but made sure she let me know this is a one time deal...and if I wanted to return the Bible I had to pay return shipping. Another $10 or so and wasted time and hassle. I will stick to a reputable vendor for any further purchases of Bibles. Sure, Bibles are not this company's major thing. In my world, I frequently order Bibles. If they state NEW they are SEALED and they are BOXED or Shrink Wrapped in a CLAM SHELL etc. This WAS NOT a NEW BIBLE but a Used, Like New or Excellent Condition. If you do order from this company ask questions and assume nothing. I would treat like Ebay. Although, with Ebay, you know exactly what you are getting and you can ask questions and see pictures of the item. If issues with your order and an item was misrepresented, such as this one, you can contact Ebay for help and either the seller or they will make it right. Not so with Book Outlet. When something appears too good to be true... Not sure if I will dispute the charge, use BBB or not yet. This all takes time!

I knew there had to be some place to find current titles for less than bookstore retail prices. So glad I found Book Outlet. Processing my order and getting it shipped to me was quick. Also, taking advantage of the new member $10 off and threshold discount got me 11 hard cover books for less than sixty dollars. With some titles being less than $5 I definitely will not be purchasing books anywhere else. This is my new go-to!
