The books were a birthday gift and extra special because they were delivered to the little lady instead of me to deliver.
For my first order I ordered two books. The condition of one of them is completely new and the other has minor marks on the sides, so I am very satisfied. On the downside, the delivery service took 7 days. I find this long, since in the website the estimate was 1-3 days. Overall, I would buy again.

I have ordered from Book Outlet numerous times over the last 3 years and I’m always happy with my orders. I made my most recent purchase last month and the books came in excellent condition, a little wear on the corners, but nothing to affect the quality or aesthetics for the most part. You can save a good deal of money buying here and I do recommend ordering quickly as popular titles go fast. I did receive a hardcover with a broken spine in one of my past orders and they sent a new copy free of charge after I sent photos of the broken book. Customer service was good and easy to deal with. My only true complaints are the shipping time and the packaging. That’s me looking for something negative here, in all honestly. Shipping is just quite slow, so don’t get in a hurry when ordering. And they usually only ship the books with some paper around them, I think if they were a bit neater about the packaging and maybe added a little more padding it would help avoid a few scuffs. This doesn’t however, change my high rating or stop me recommending Book Outlet. It’s a great site, they have good deals, and a nice rewards program. The only danger here is having too many beautiful and interesting books spilling off the shelves. Highly recommend this site.
Broken site, broken customer service
Customer service is a freakin joke. You are unable to receive timely responses. I was referred to this website by a friend. I received the referral coupon and I was unable to use the coupon provided. I reached out to customer service multiple times and they were unable to assist or provide any help in the matter. I will not be using this website to or referring anyone to use them in the future. What a Joke!
Scam - pure and simple: Thats what these guys are. NOT an iota of honesty in their dealings. I bought a book and paid extra for expedited shipping. They never sent the book, responded with "we will get back to you" or "we are working on it" I can't believe they are still in business. I guess scams can go on for a long time.
Great seller! Until now I have bought multiple bargain books here without any issues. They all looked like new and are really cheap compared to other shops. The shipping costs are sometimes higher than the prices of the books by itself, but altogether still cheaper than elsewhere. Shipping to the Netherlands takes a bit long (about 4/5 weeks). But if you don’t mind that, it is a real good shop! Will order here again!
There is no guarantee that we will receive what we order. I ordered 6 books and only received 4 of them. The customer service representative was very rude and said that is how their business performs. It is customer dis service I have to pay the return cost of shipping. She also said that until we open the box, we will not know what we are going to receive . Buy at your own risk. what a CHEATING business. Great site to order cheap/discounted books from! I ordered four books on December 29, they were shipped on January 6, and the package was delivered on January 15. They were Bargain Book Versions and came in great condition with little to no blemishes.
Buyer Beware! Deciding to exclusively give out books as Christmas gifts this year, I placed a large order with Book Outlet on the 28th of November; following a phone conversation with Book Order Customer Service whereby assurances were given that the order would be delivered WELL before Christmas. Relying on this information, and being located in a major NY hub where I typically receive packages early, it is now the 21st of December, and I am without any gifts for Christmas as my order tracking cites the package as moving from Upstate NY to Ohio and has been in Massachusetts since the 16th of December. I have written to the Book Outlet customer service whom appear to be ignoring my pleas for assistance in the matter. Way to ruin Christmas for five deserving children Book Outlet; just deplorable customer service on your end!
I need to attend BOA (Book Outlet Anonymous) I am hooked on their True Crime. I am an insomniac and stay up all night reading. The shipping is not as fast as other places but I am in no hurry. Prices are good, but if you're expecting to get your books in a timely manner, you better think again. Some of the books were out of order, so had to wait a month before delivery But we're quick to take the money out of my account.
AMAZING. Cheap prices and everything I want is not always there. But if you look through the selection long enough you will find something that leads you down a different rabbit hole.
