Was sent a text promising Saturday delivery if ordered before noon on Friday. Ordered case of German beer but have had no dispatch email. I have tried contacting customer service if you can call it that to no acknowledgment or reply. False promises, false company. I will not use beerhunter again and will strongly recommend to others to avoid as well.

Two orders. One on time, second looks like being 4-5 days late. Not good enough. I’ll do the long round trip to the shops instead for reliability.

My wife placed an order for two cases of German beer-24 bottles that cost nearly £90.00, according to the eta of the promised delivery we would have received the two cases on the Friday in time for our planned beer and 6Nations rugby event. Nothing arrived and after a few emails we were forced to cancel the order as they promised delivery on the Monday-nothing and then Tuesday which also stated if not delivered we would get our order for free, also nothing. We are now two weeks since we paid but as yet still haven’t received our refund! We have used this company many times before but it goes without saying no more of our money will be entering their account ever again! Not lekka Beerhunter, no lekka at all!

Placed an order before Christmas. Received an email email from Beer hunter a couple of days later saying DPD were awaiting the order and would be in touch once received. Now Jan 6th.. no beer, no response to messages sent! Customer service non existent….

Just to be clear, I have never actually bought from this company. However, just before this Xmas (19th Dec 2024), we received a parcel from them addressed to someone else, but at our address. Whilst there was someone's name on it, it also stated a business name. Neither that business nor the individual have ever been linked with our property, nor any in our small close. Aware of 'brushing scams' where companies send you goods that you didn't order, I contacted Beerhunter (not an easy process), to try and find out if this was a scam or a genuine mistake and if so to repurpose the owner with their goods (a nice personilised wooden box with a bottle of Malt and a crystal glass). Beerhunter never returned our call (voicemail) and took several days to send a very bland response to a web query saying they'd delivered it to our address with the name of who was supposed to receive it - information we already knew, that didn't resolve anything ! I responded to their email the same day (within half an hour) and didn't receive a reply for another 9 days (30th December) - good luck if that was a Xmas gift ! In the meantime, a lady turned up at our door (on Xmas Eve) claiming the gift was for her husband and had been delivered to the wrong address. My wife asked for proof and she showed a picture of the delivery at our door front on her phone, so my wife gave her the parcel. We are not 100% sure if that was indeed the correct owner of the parcel so again I contacted Beerhunter to advise that in their lack of response we believed that we had handed the parcel over to the intended recipient. I asked for clarity on that, both from wanting to make ensure the intended recipient had got their parcel and to ensure it wasn't indeed a scam. I still haven't received a response that email either (nearly a week). Reading other reviews on here about how people didn't receive their gifts or the poor customer service - from my experience I can see why not. As a keen beer drinker, I for one will not be making use of their services !

Placed an order for Christmas. Item arrived somewhat slowly via Royal Mail on the 19th December. However upon arrival part of the gift set was smashed and had leaked through the flimsy packaging. I emailed and have called twice and left voicemails on both occasions but have not received a response of any kind. I am now looking for a last minute gift for my brother in law as I cannot imagine for a moment that Beerhunter will ensure that I receive the identical gift before the big day. Unsuitable packaging and shocking lack of service.

Shocking service!!!!! At a very important time of year you should be well prepared in both departments, delivering on time and customer support. None of which exists with this company.

I purchased a mixed case, and was sent 12 identical bottles. The Customer Services do not answer the phone.

First and last time ordering from this site. Ordered 27th November so plenty of time for Christmas, it's now 20th December still no delivery. First complaint raised 13th December, fault was with DPD we'll dispatch another one. Second complaint raised 17th December, received a cheerful reply, thank you for your custom blah blah. I don't want a lot just my order or a refund. Postage cost is nearly £6, waste of money considering they don't deliver when they say.

Contacting this company is like trying to get a simple answer out of a ghost. No tracking number, No phone number, No sensible reply as emails are automatic system or answered by someone who cannot read English correctly. You would think after payment has been taken there would be a record of possible despatch. However NOTHING. Having seen some of the poor reviews I think I am in for a long wait

Present ordered for my dad 2 weeks ago and still hasn't been despatched. There is no way of contacting on the phone, and no reply from customer services when I've asked for it to be expedited. Likely to end up with 24 bottles of beer that I can't get to the intended recipient as it won't be delivered in time.

Ordered on 26 November it's now 3rd December no communication from Beerhunter despite my repeated attempts to contact them, no DPD tracking number provided and DPD website says they've no pending orders for me anyway. #BH7407 order number given and I'll forgive any justifiable delays but non communication is totally unacceptable and my next step will be to contact my payment card provider if there's no contact from beerhunter in the next couple of days. This first order from myself with beerhunter could very well be my last. Update to 2 stars as I've eventually received a DPD tracking number after 7 days and attempting to communicate with beerhunter to little or no avail. I'll wait till I receive my order to re evaluate beerhunter again. Order delivered eventually with satisfactory communications so a 4 star rating.

Ordered 12 bottles of Paulaner Oktoberfest beer at a cost of £39.....Majestic Wine currently have 20 bottles at £42, how on earth can they justify such a huge discrepancy on price?

I ordered a birthday gift set and paid £7.95 for next day delivery. The parcel was due to be delivered by DPD the following day but it didn’t arrive. The recipient of the gift did not receive the gift in time for their special day. The delivery was made a day later but Beerhunter are not willing to refund the delivery charge and are now ignoring email correspondence. The responsibility lies with the company the purchase was made from, not the delivery company. Awful service, do not order from Beerhunter!!

I ordered two cases of beer from them through Amazon. The order was confirmed and they took my money. However they didn't have enough of one of the beers so they just sent out what they had with no prospect of fulfilling the complete order. Not only did they not consult me, they couldn't even be bothered to send me a message saying what happened, leaving me to find a shortage in the delivery and having to chase Amazon to find out what had happened. The company say they don't have time to check up what they should do, which seems to me to be saying it's OK to do the wrong thing quickly. It doesn't excuse their not even bothering to tell me. They claim they had issued a refund for the missing bottles, but I didn't get notified of that until after I had contacted them. In any case it doesn't solve my problem because I needed what I ordered. Their returns process seemed to involve my dedicating a whole day to being at home for the Royal Mail to collect and printing out a label when I don't have a working printer. In the end I had to spend over half an hour wading through Amazon's system and talking to various people on the phone before Amazon refunded the rest of my money with no need to return the goods, but after all the wasted time and stress it seems like scant recompense. Having read the reply from the merchant, I would point out that I have opted out only from marketing messages, although it's possible Amazon treated their message as such. However their CEO managed to get my mobile number to call me, so they could certainly have sent a text. Moreover the time they claim to have sent the email is only 5 minutes before the recorded delivery time, so that hardly shows a sense of urgency in keeping me informed. I repeat that the resolution they first offered me was to return the goods by Royal Mail, where I would have needed to commit an entire day and it seemed like I needed to print a label, which I couldn't do. It was then Amazon, not the merchant, that authorised the refund and told me to keep the bottles. When their CEO called I think he would have arranged a more convenient return but it was too late. The implication that I refused their reasonable offer is therefore false and I invite readers to draw their own conclusions.

Recently purchased some forged Irish stout, used beer hunter before and been fine, the crate of 24 was half price.. not seen anything on there so just thought it was a deal.. so bought some. When it arrived 18/09/2024 it was out of date 14/09/2024.. only a few days I know but you struggle to get forged from places so don’t drink the 24 straight away.. I emailed to ask about this 4 days and still no reply, a friend who had ordered the same deal had his reply straight away, and told that it was advertised as short date.. when I questioned this they told me it was stated in their tasting notes. Which it was, but due to having the drink before didn’t bother to read.. so be aware when buying in their ‘deals’

Out of date Forged Irish Stout, arrived 17/09 and BBE was 14/09, customer services stated was advertised as short date, I rechecked the advert and the only mention of it short date was under "tasting notes", which when you already know what Forged tastes like why would you read. Very misleading and a very poor response. Customer lost.
