Used BeenVerified.com for a quick car look up for $1. A week later, BeenVerified.com proceeded to continue charging our credit card $28. I never authorized this transaction. Never give them a form of payment, they will use it later again and again. ------------------------------------ Reply to BeenVerified: hiding a subscription agreement in font size 1 within a simple one time car lookup transaction is not obtaining an explicit customer consent. Explicitly asking "do you want to subscribe Yes or No" would be obtaining a consent. This is a shady business practice by an unscrupulous business, hoping that some customers who provide their credit cards to BeenVerified will not notice transactions later that they never wanted or knowingly agreed.

If I could rate it zero I would. Found this on my CC as a fee. I did not open account and found it tied to Apple yet the cc was not attached to Apple. It is a US based program and upon trying emails to get a password logged in and found one past search. Companies like this prey on people that don’t check their statement often enough. I will be now but find them predatory. When I found I was being charged and went to see what it was I found the information no more helpful than anything you can find by looking it up yourself.

Been " Verified " had an email that was not mine & a phone number that I had last had 11+ years ago. When I sent 1 email to Unsubscribe & correct their information mistakes they responded with 4 emails in one day. Their repeated emails were Overbearing & Showed Poor Judgement !!

They give you a "free" trial and you have to enter your credit card info. Not unusual HOWEVER, I canceled my membership during the "7 day free trial" and have a cancelation confirmation from BeenVerified showing that I canceled my subscription. THEN BeenVerified charged my card after my cancelation saying I reinstated my subscription. I DID NOT and they have NOT been able to provide me with ANY documentation stating that I "renewed" my subscription. Unfortunately I don't check my credit card statements throughly every month but this month I did. They have been charging me for NINE months to the tune of almost $270. They refunded me for 2 months but said they could not refund me any more because of their policy and that I indeed renewed my subscription.......but they could never provide me with the documentation. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THIS IS HOW THE TRICK THE CONSUMER. It is a "SCAM" and if you don't catch what they are doing you will be paying them every month even though you have canceled your subscription.

I never leave negative reviews but this was an awful customer service experience. Coming from someone who primarily deals with speaking with people on the phone all day. Person was rude, kept repeating “is there anything else I can help you with”. & I would understand this reaction if I was rude, but I always treat customer service workers with respect as I am one too. Also don’t believe you’re ‘cancelling’ your subscription by just doing it on their website on your own, you’ll still get charged. * I would like to add to this review and change my stars after speaking with another customer service rep. The second person I spoke with was very kind and helpful. We all have bad days! Still leaving a star off because it said I cancelled then was charged but they were kind enough to refund me

# WARNING AVOID # please do not fall for the $1 deal if you do not read the small print which I never saw on my mobile phone after the seven days they will charge you an extra $ 35.07 . This will be taken monthly until you cancel very underhanded.

Had my car as a branded title which isn't true. have title in hand. Very bad information coming from this site with out the proper information.

I loved this website. I created an account to find more information regarding a family member that I had lost contact with, but heard from some that they were ill. Because of this website, I was able to find the information needed to contact their family, find out how they were doing, and can now see them again after years of no contact.

Someone texted me from an unknown number and I found out who it was without ever responding to that person!! Will definitely keep this site in mind next time! It was also fun to look up old friends I haven’t seen in a while.

I called ahead of time before I paid to get information as it said they had. While on the phone, I told the lady I wanted to know if it was true and she said I could only know by paying. I paid and got no information. They took my money and she said she could only close my account from there. I got scammed like I did on another site.
