I spent 15 min and 1 USD just to discover that no results were found... hey you shouldn't ask to pay if you see that search brings no results. I've activated trial period, try 3 searches, always no results. Cancelled trial period, let's see how it will be cancelled...

$1 trial - great. THEN it costs $5 to save any reports you run during the trial period. No mention of that when taking my money for the trial.

Your report is not as complete or as informative as a CarFax report and I wish it were because your report did not give me the information i really wanted and needed but the information your report did give I was able to use and I only paid a dollar which was more than well worth it.

On July 31st I experienced a bait and switch was supposed to be charged $22.86 and actual charge was $147.90 and that was reversed just after I turned in my first complaint on trustpilot. This is my second complaint for the same thing they are now charging me back 147.90 for the service I was canceled via email the same day totally useless no one to talk to on either phone number. My next step will be closing the bank account.

It’s a pointless website. It takes 10 minutes almost sometimes for them to bring you to a page and once they get your information they’re still somehow loading, find a more reputable source.

I searched for a particular address and was led to believe I would receive information about that address, and no information was available after I signed up. Very misleading. And they hide how to cancel, to take advantage of people who aren't tech savvy. I am disgusted.

1. Your website says your hours daily end at 11:30 PM East Coast Time, which would be 8:30 my time (Pacific Time). That's a good time frame for letting Pacific Time customers who need to speak with a live agent have that opportunity. I called you today (Sunday 9/15/2024 @ 4 PM Pacific Time). Your automated system then stated your company was close, I'll have to call you back. If you do close at 5PM East Coast time on weekdays that would be 2PM my time. Have you got a problem with Pacific Time customers? It seems like you do if you're not providing the Pacific Time customers the same time frame or at least the same amount of hrs. they can talk to an agent. In other words your open hrs. for Pacific Time customers should end at 5PM Pacific Time, not 2PM. What's your objection to doing that, other than it'll cost you too much to do so, i.e., you don't make enough money so can't afford to provide customers like me a reasonable closing time. Maybe the owner of Just Verified could give a rat's patootie about how much money his or her company makes, he/her just doesn't have any respect for certain customers (maybe all his customers), which means the ethical and business policies you claim to follow, enumerated on your website are nothing less than B.S. 2) It's been my intension to sign up for the service you offer, not withstanding what I've told you below (see complaint #3). However, I wanted to see if you're still better than Intelius, which deserves 1/2 Star so I was on your site and you offered a trial period of 7 days for $5.00. I believe you stated all the search features for the trial period were associated with the full monthly subscription. I decided to signup for your trial period the next day so I went back to your website but the $5.00 option wasn't available. You were now offering a trial period for $1:00 so I paid you $1.00 and when I did my 1st, 2nd and 3rd search you didn't provide the depth of search features you use when someone signs up for a month to month subscription so the information I needed wasn't unavailable. Therefore I only wasted a buck but the time I wasted was worth $85.00 based on an hourly rate of only $51.00. I called the contact # you provided to question why your trial period costing $1.00 didn't include the type of in depth record searches offered when I sign up for paying you month after monthly. So I get an automated system that couldn't deal with my request, long story short I was informed my trial period had ended about 6 days earlier and then my trial period was canceled. 3. The statement I made above referencing complaint #3 goes like this... A) I had signed up for monthly use of your services and after numerous months I cancelled BeenVerified. B) It's been a few years since I looked at my bank statements, everything I get billed for on a monthly basis is auto payed. However, after finally deciding I needed to file my many bank statements I looked at what I had paid for and the amounts I was charged I see you had charged my checking account for every month AFTER I canceled my Been Verified and that amounted to a huge amount of money. So I called your company and spoke to a customer rep. who worked out of his home & never had been in your corporate office. He couldn't or didn't want to deal w/ B.V.'s my you took from me or didn't want to deal with that issue I asked him to elevate my problem to the person who apparently supervises all customer reps, & works out of your N,Y, office. He said he'd do that, he'd inform him I needed to discuss the situation w/him. I was never contacted. I also asked that rep. to email me the total # of months you paid yourself after I cancelled my subscription. He did that but only provided 3 months you charged me w/out justification. I didn't take this issue any further, I didn't have the time to spend trying to recover the $ you took from me, it would've taken too much time I didn't have. Having been down that road numerous times I've learned most corporations ignore customer's requests for money they are legitimately owed. C) I know what it takes to recover what you owe me. Digging deep into your company and finding the statues/laws your type of business is obligated to follow, I'll file complaints that can result needed to have you investigated I'll use social media to reveal what you do to your customers and then there's the IRS, maybe they should look at your books. If I'm not contacted by phone from an executive who can deal with what you've done by Sept. 18th. I'll consider we're at war. All info I need to elevate this issue up to any state & federal agencies dealing w/consumer fraud and violations of laws you're business type is required to follow will receive my complaint, following the steps those agencies want me to use. I've reached my limit of words so I'll conclude this treatise saying there's more I'll do and your clock is ticking.

You are impossible to contact. Cannot cancel you. The only way it seems to cancel is to contact the Better Business Bureau and or The Attorney General of Ohio.

I don't recall giving this company permission to do any service for me and I certainly did not give the permission to charge me $28 a month. I discovered the fee of my credit card and called them. They agreed to stop charging me right away but I incurred 4 months worth of charges before I discovered it. I don't even know what they do.

There practices are shady. They make you think the site is working up to 30 minutes just to hit a paywall . They should have to pay me for time wasted.

USELESS! SCAM! GARBAGE! They make you wait for long load times, just so they can force you to pay at the end. You don't even get any information in the end, as unless you pay these extortionists, you get jack shi. If I had the ability to give this useless piece of trash and its creators zero stars, I would. I was just curious, so i searched for myself, and what do you know? paywall

I discovered that BeenVerified had been taking $26.86 monthly from my pay pal account linked to my bank account for over a year. Yes, I am aware I should check my pay pal account, which has now been cancelled, but I rarely use account so hadn't checked. I never opened a trial account with BeenVerified, nor would I have any need for their services. I reported this and they were not helpful resolving the issue. They stated that they closed my account, but I have no record of this as the account was opened with a fraudulent email address and they were unwilling to send any sort of documentation to my real email, stating they can only send notifications to the email associated with the account. It was a ridiculous conversation with zero resolution. I would not trust this company with your personal information. They stole money from me and I have no recourse but to let others know not to trust them. I have reported this to Better Business Bureau and have contacted my local police department but am struggling to file a report with them as I have no email documenting the exchange. I stayed on the chat with this company for over an hour and requested email documentation 5 times and received nothing. Totally a scam company, do not trust them with any of your personal data!!!
