About Intheswim

In The Swim was founded in 1982 by a husband and wife team. Shipping chlorine from the back of their garage and taking orders on their front porch, they began to have a vision that this could be something big. As the quantities of their orders increased, so did the loyalty of their customers. Before long, In The Swim relocated to a larger facility and hired their first employees to answer the phone. As In The Swim’s customers grew in number, so did the product selection. The one constant factor of In The Swim’s growth has been maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction through its dedication to quality products at the best possible prices and its commitment to the highest level of customer service.

Do not do business with this company. We ordered parts for our pump, paid high s & h costs for pump rod and handle. Pump unfortunally exploded and we never opened up packaging for the items ordered. We called Intheswim customer service to get a return label and not only did they want the customer to pay the shipping to return the items they want you to pay restocking fee (20%!) It would cost $13.40 plus shipping $15.00, $28.40, items ordered originally cost 67.00 that does not include shipping cost. This is customer rip off because they will just turn around and resale it.

Yet another stellar experience with In The Swim. They never explained to my why I was getting a credit of $16.99 for a bag of sand that I was charged $26.99 for. When I tell them I’m confused, I’m told “sir, you’re making this confusing”. This place sucks!!

I order the wrong item. Because the picture online was misleading. I cancelled the order in about two hours. I was informed it would take 2 days for my refund. Day 10 still no refund. I contacted my bank.

I ordered a solar reel in April and was told it would ship in a few days. I received other things I ordered but not that. I called and they said it was backordered. After a few weeks, I called and was told it is no longer available. They had shipped the attachments for reel but not the tubings. They said to send it back and I would receive a refund. On May 17, I sent it back and it was received by them. After 3 days, I called and they said the refund would be in 2-3 days. I am still waiting after 3 weeks. My numerous calls have been unresolved. The emails I send go unanswered. I am still waiting for my $500 + refund.

I just ordered an opening kit. it was supposed to be next day and now, 2 days later, I receive an email it is going to ship. I want to talk to a customer service and press #3. it says that number is not working and reroutes me to the main phone line to choose again. The chat has a wait of 50 minutes!

I ordered a $19 dollar item and was charged $28.50 for 2 day shipping. I never received email confirmation or shipping information, and the item never arrived, even after a month. Customer support acted like they had no interest in this problem, even though they had full records of the purchase and charged my credit card. This is fraudulent activity.

I ordered a swim around and it does not work for my pool as the set up is older. They refuse to let me return it and they keep referring me back to the manufacture who can not help me because I bought it from In the Swim. I understand return policies, but this is not a used sock, it is something that does not work. NEVER ORDER From them, they are just out to get your money, no customer service, no one to just say I understand NOTHING.

Product; 12 Mil Blue/Black 16 x 32 ft. Rectangle Pool Solar Cover from In The Swim Wow, exactly same issue. I have purchased this cover two other times in the past and received a partial refund for the deteriorating condition prior to the expiration of the warranty. This last unit completely disintegrated in 2 seasons so I sent pictures to the company to get s partial reimbursement and they said the bubbles falling off was because of excessive chemicals which if you read these other reviews you will know it’s just an excuse. I told them that they honored their warranty two other times for the same condition issues in the past but they denied my claim anyemway. I have used intheswim for at least 10 years for most of my pool needs but will NEVER utilize their products again. Spread the word.

This is my answer to this company after I bought a expensive 7 year pool cover and now they won't honor the warranty. Thank you for the helpful information about how to screw over customers when they have complied to all that was not covered under warranty. I will make it a note to insure others, that your company’s policy for DE-lamination is not the separation of the blue vinyl and the black vinyl (Bubbles). Bubbles is DE-LAMINATION and if you cover DE-lamination you should honor the warranty. For your information, my pool only uses natural minerals (PoolRx which is similar to your Nature2) to kill algae because it is safe for humans and better that harsh chemicals. So your assumption that my pool is unbalance is a bunch of crap and does not imply to this situation, you just don’t want to honor your warranty. Definition of DE-lamination: separation into constituent layers It was my fault for not reading the complaints from customers reviews (77% negative) before I bought this expensive cover from you. Don't worry, someone else will appreciate my business. You got 1 star because their was nothing less that that.

I have been ordering supplies for my pool from intheswim for 8 years+. It has been pretty good until recently. I ordered (2) Ph increaser's and they sent me (2) round polar (pool) covers. I am on my 5th phone call to customer service to get free UPS return labels. The cost of the covers is over $200. The cost of the Ph increaser is less than $100. They charged me the correct price for the chemicals. It has been a circus trying to get those labels. I finally talked someone into putting them in the mail. 10 days later I received one label. Now I have to call a sixth time to get the other label sent. They are not covering themselves in glory in service recovery.

Excessive email spamming. Once you provide your email address, good luck asking In The Swim to stop spamming. They provide no opt out or Unsubscribe options. Customer service is equally non responsive when asked.

We had purchased our solar pool cover for our pool from In the Swim August 22, 2016 through walmart.com. so we got to use it for about a month or so. And this year we got our pool up by June and have used our solar cover for a couple of months and the bubbles are coming off in certain areas of the cover. And In the Swim said that I used to much chemicals in my pool and that's why they are falling off, but they are only falling off in a couple of places and not all over. They will not replace it. Absolutely do not buy anything from In The Swim, they are total rip offs. The manufacturer is Midwest Canvas Corp. doesn't carry a warranty and that's where the cover came from, they say that In the Swim is the one that carry the warranty. So why would In The Swim buy a product from a manufacturer without a warranty, unless they are buying them at a second hand rate, something isn't right here. They stirred up a hornets nest with this chick. 😠 Product 12 Mil Blue/Black 16 x 32 ft. Rectangle Pool Solar Cover from In The Swim.

We purchased a very expensive solar pool blanket because of the 7 year warranty, a warranty that turns out to be a joke and an insult to consumers. Within far less than a year (including a complete winter of storage), the bubbles on this blanket began to fall off, leaving black vinyl disks floating in our pool and getting into our filtration system. Be advised that this is not what In the Swim considers to be either delamination or a defect. In fact, this decomposition of the product is specifically excluded in the bogus warranty. We will never again do business with this company.

My large solar blanket lasted one year and than it fell apart into several pieces. Complained and was told there is nothing they can do. There is a 7 year warranty but I guess they don't honor it!!!

We've been doing business w/ In the Swim for years but that is all over now. We ordered a replacement above-ground pool on July 7th. Ordered a liner from another company. Liner came in about 4-5 days later. My husband saw the quote under our particular pool reading "this items ships within 1-2 days" and was thrilled. Called, got confirmation, 1-2 days. Great. He called every day to check on a tracking # so we could track it along the way but someone finally told him that it was a drop-ship item that ships direct from the manufacturer and takes 7-10 business days! WHAT?? So why are you telling ppl that it ships in 1-2 days?? We finally did receive a tracking number the day before it showed up in the driveway. The pool finally arrived on July 24th, weeks after we expected it and after we had to cancel installation arrangements, water delivery, blah, blah. Customer service at this company is completely useless. Everyone my husband spoke to gave a different answer to the exact same questions. We are never doing business w/ this company moving forward. He (husband) wrote a blistering review on their page, which took all of 5 minutes for them to delete it. They lie to their customers and don't care a bit about service or keeping their word.

I was looking for a couple of soft pool floats and found intheswim online who delivers to Cyprus, so went through the process of online ordering. On their website they were advertising free shipping and handing and thought this was to good to be true, however, when I put my Cyprus address in and checked out it still had free shipping available and my Order was accepted. I even got an email asking for my review due to my purchase, however, here is where things started to go wrong, so my order was accepted in April 2017 and about 1 month had gone by and still no shipping date even through they said it wouldn't take more then 5 working days, so I called them up and they said it is in their warehouse and as soon as they receive it they will email me, so another couple of weeks went by and still no email so decided to phone them and again told it will be with me soon, yes you guessed it another couple of weeks went by and still nothing so decided to email their customer services team and finally 2 days after that got a response back with a blunt reply of it should arrive in our warehouse on the 20th May and you will receive an email, however, this deadline came and went and then received an email on the 01/06/17 that no one wants, to say sorry we have made an error on the shipping costs and for them to complete my Order I would have to pay an additional $155.07 on top of the $294.98 I had already paid (which they have taken a credit card payment back in April), so $450.05 in total, so when I complained that this is their mistake and they should provide me with the goods that I Ordered in good faith was told my 2 options was to pay the shipping fee or they would cancel my Order so I had no choice but to cancel and it took them 9 days to credit my card even though they said it would take 4 working days. So the moral of the story is don't BUY anything from intheswim as the free shipping which they still advertise today is just a ploy to get you to order and then hit you with the shipping charges knowing that most people will pay those shipping charges. This has cost me time and money in phone calls and in the words of their US leader Donald Trump, 'make America great again' they are a million miles from that!!! disgusting company hang your head in shame..

I needed a vacuum for my pool and did a "live chat" with a representative to ask what attachments I needed for it to work. I specifically asked if it came with a pole or did I need to buy one separately. He told me it came with a pole and everything I needed will be included. So....got the vacuum today and it has NO POLE. I called to tell them and they wouldn't even give me a discount if I purchased a pole for the wrong info given to me! I will never do business with this company again!!!

I gave a 1 star review when my Slow Tabs arrived broken. When I was cut off twice calling customer service, I e-mailed them and they responded asking for a photo of the broken ones, which I sent. A couple of days later they said they were sending a new bucket of Tabs, which arrived today and they were all in one piece. I decided I had better give them a good review after they came through and fixed the problem, although I still have close to 60 Tabs that are in various states from broken in half to dust.

Do not do business with this company. The sales reps lied to me about a warranty and the company did not honor what they told me.
