Very disappointed. I just renewed my subscription today 5/27. I haven't used this site for several years. I started to research the item; it wasn't a resource. It's another selling site like I have with Ebay and Market Place. Just comparing what an item costs on Ebay etc. I did contact them immediately with my disapproval. Waiting for a response.
It’s not a “free 7 day trial” as they advertise. It’s 7 free lookups. Any business that misleads customers is, at best a one star company.
I did not join, but it seems to me that ANY website that insists you join, can't be good. That's like buying something, site unseen and then complaining about it when it arrives because it's a cardboard cutout. Just not worth my time.
It's not a bad site to use. It was pretty easy to try out the free trial and then cancel. I didn't need it but for a few items to research. It's pretty standard for most services to have free trials that you need to cancel before charging.
Worthpoint is very disappointing. It seems 99% of their results come from ebay yet they haven't figured out how to report ebay sales results accurately. For example, if an item on ebay allows "best offers", Worthpoint doesn't show you the accepted offer. Instead they show you the price the item was originally listed at. So you never know if the price Worthpoint shows you is the actual sell price or if the sell price is actually much lower. They also don't get all the pictures from ebay (or they don't use them all). Most Worthpoint listings have just one or two pictures, but most ebay listings have more than that. This makes it very hard to draw any conclusions from the sale price because you can't see all the pictures needed to determine the condition of the item or see everything that may have been included in the lot. I've tried to discuss this with Worthpoint and it was pointless. Their staff seemed disinterested and acted like they didn't see the problem. It seems they take very lightly the sole point of their existence. They charge way too much for the quality of product they're putting out.
Double billed me for 10 months and wouldn't refund me the $270 I overpaid. Not a very good database on top of it. STAY AWAY!! Now commenting on their message below. They know they messed and while they have refunded about $70, they still owe me $200. I spoke to them and tried to resolve this on the phone, and they admitted there was a glitch. They said I had to work it out with PayPal they said I had to work it out with Worthpoint. Months ago when I called I had to start a new account because I no longer had access to my old email address. They do not have the ability to change your email and thus if you change your email address or no longer have access to it, you have to start a new account. Convenient though how they still bill the old account - they know exactly what they are doing! They have my phone number and can call me but they would rather to comment on my feedback and do damage control to the public. All they have to do is call me and make me whole and I stop spreading the word about the reality of this bad app. Any above-board company will refund you on a double bill situation.
Making money out of nothing, pathetic. They don't provide really any service to the trade community and they asking for money, you can get all this information for free on the ebay seller hub.
I am trying to cancel my subscription, the free trial is a scam, you are supposed to get 7 looks at an item. Under subscription there is NO cancellation option. No one is responding to my emails.
Some guy in his mom's cellar with a bad attitude and delusions of grandeur. Avoid this little tin pot dictator.
I thought I would try the free trial to see how I would like it. I did not like it. The website allowed me to be uncover 4 different prices, then it would not allow me to view any other prices and said, "This action requires a paying subscription" I thought that is what the free trial was for? Is to allow me to use the service as if I was a paying customer. I get 4 prices and then it wants me to pay during my so-called free trial So, I cancelled my so-called free trial. After I cancelled a status notice pops up and it reads, "You are currently a non-paying account that allows you to search but not view any details." Heck, I did not get any details anyhow but except 4 prices and then requires payment during my free trail. Why call it a free trial? I think the free trial is a way of hoping you will forget you got a pending subscription out there and get nothing for it during the free trail.
I cancelled my subscription but they won’t stop charging me 30$ and won’t respond to emails, save your time and money
False security in a price, no guarantee the person got paid, total scam Stay away from inflated princess for this website
Horrible how can you offer someting for sale with no price I don't need to sign in to a website to find out what the price is
I was able to talk to a human being when I press 2 for billing and payment. I have been a customer for over a year. They say they sent emails about payment decline which is probably due to a new card, but no emails can be found in any of my boxes. The price increase also is bad, for most of the items can be found on Google for free. They are hurting their customer base by being so expensive, I am glad they said my subscription is canceled!!
The website images take forever to load when I use the price guide search. Website has been not working all day today. Apparently because they have no competition so they don't care about their subscribers at all. 2 stars because there is sadly no alternative.
Inaccurate pricing. Small inventory to peruse. Hard to cancel free trial.
Could only see 7 prices a month, total waste of money I cancelled and asked for my account to be deleted since there seems to be no way of doing it. Endless spam emails from them as well, despite opting out. Their site is also like a time warp its like something from the stone age. Imagine charging $200 per year and not investing any of that into making your site look like it's from this decade.
I opted in for the free trial, I couldn't see any prices unless I paid in full for the month. Well what's the point of a free trial? I've had nothing but a disappointing experience with these guys, I won't ever let my friends or family even think about utilizing this site. Save contacting me back worthpoint, I am appalled at what I just went through today and nothing more than a true free trial would fix it.
Their website is legitimate & you can see past sale prices on art with descriptions just as advertised, but their 7 day or 7 views being free isn't real. As soon as you pay for the subscription they charge you, which I get b/c your accessing their database, which isn't free. If you want to see past sale prices you must pay for the $47 full access subscription & not the $28 subscription. They wouldn't get bad reviews if they just allowed you to pay a one time fee for the item you want to see.
I inadvertently had two PAID subscriptions going with this company. Since they were due on different dates I didn't pick up on it right away. When I asked for a refund for the unused subscription they said I "abused" the free trial offers and so they weren't going to help me. I don't see anywhere where it states you can't have more than one free trial. I have had TWO paid accounts since December of 2021. Pretty loyal customer and they told me to scram! Customer Service is a huge part of any online business. There are other sites to look things up. Stay away from Worthpoint if you don't want to be treated like dirt! This company needs to realise no matter how good their product, their SERVICE is a complete horror story.
