It was very difficult to get my questions answered before I purchased a policy. I still don't have answers to all my questions about the annual policy. Makes me wonder how difficult it might be to make a claim.

I purchased a policy for my wife and my travel to Nepal to hike to Everest Base Camp and climb Ama Dablam. I have traveled using other insurance companies but World Nomads was recommended. Unfortunately my wife and I both became very ill after our expedition and while in a small country village had to be transported by helicopter to Kathmandu and spent 4 days in a hospital. We had to pay over $7,500 while in country. Upon arriving home we submitted our claim on 11/27 and still as of today 02/04/2025 we have yet to receive anything.

The coverage of the different plans was easy to find and understand. I didn’t have to search the website to find the information I needed. The price is also good, compared to similar plans from other companies.

Great company

we had a travel delay in Paris. When we arrived our train was cancelled and no trains were available for more than 72 hours due to travel during Paris Olympics. We needed to be in Amsterdam for a cruise so our only choice for travel was airflight. We bought the tickets to fly there and World Nomads delayed the claim. I will not use World Nomads ever again for our travel insurance. At this point we are considering small claims court
