It was easy to buy travel insurance for my needs.

This time everything went great, meaning no accident and no need to use the insurance. But will highlight everytime I can the exceptional response and support World Nomads gave me in 2023 when I had a nasty Cycling accident in Canada. They arranged everything to get me back home in time to perform the surgeries I needed for an (almost) full recovery.

I use nomads for all my insurance. They are very reasonable. Only recommendation is that I'd get an email of my travel coverage and details

Upon having to cancel our trip due to one person's severe injury six weeks prior, we submitted all paperwork as website requested. We received our refund within two weeks with no need to go around with any representatives via email or phone. Our experience with signing up through refund was exemplary. Highly recommend.

Easy to get insurance quickly online for far flung places. Thankfully I've never had to actually claim on the insurance so I can't attest for their efficiency in that arena.

It's easy to get a quote, they have all the fine details in fairly easy to read format (and all the activity coverages for each type of plan in a really useful table). Prices are good, lots of communication about the status of the policy, before-trip/after-trip reminders.

I have purchased world nomads multiple times. It was always fine when nothing happened. Then one time I shattered my wrist in South America, back in February. They have paid me zero. They have made me jump through hoop after hoop. Made me notarize affidavits, give medical information repeatedly, ask for multiple travel schedules, made demands about the hospital and doctors and continued to question my integrity even messaging me the consequences of fraud all while I’m still recovering and rehabbing from a gruesome injury. It has been so so so disappointing and disheartening. I only asked for my medical bills not even other things I was entitled to like evacuation or cancelled trip etc just the hospital bills. It’s October more than 6 months I have gotten nothing while it appears they are doing everything to find a way to not pay me, and yet they are projecting onto me as if I’m the one who committed fraud but it very much feels instead I was the one who got scammed. | Claim ID 7368638

I disliked not being able to talk to a human.

Finding the right coverage is pretty seamless: there are questions which were hard to find answers to and I wish I could outline all the trip itinerary to be confident all aspects are securely insured rather than a blanket policy. I am just trusting the blanket coverage is pertinent to all the elements of my trip.

Easy to use and navigate

If you can not help to fix a simple mistake for creating an account like my date of birth, when I already send to you my passport so you can corroborate the correct date, how can you expect to I can put my trust again that you can help me with a real emergency??

This was only my second time using travel insurance and I am so glad I did. World Nomad was recommended to me and I was extremely happy with their responsiveness, ease of use and swift payment turnaround. I will definitely use them again!
