I used Whisky auction for any bottles that I don’t see at the other auction site and was happy with the service provided.

Very fast delivery and all bottles were packed very well.

The bidding process was good. I would have wished for a page where I can monitor the bidding process for several bottles, simultaneously. Also, the communication regarding auction courtage and shipping costs is abysmal. These positions raise the true cost, significantly, and to hide them until after the auction is - in my opinion - a misleading practice that can be easily fixed with digital technology (log your shipping addresses and the system will calculate on the fly). Guys: you have a great core product but unless you invest, you will fall victim to EU based platforms.

I first heard about whisky.auction on the TV programme Saturday Kitchen, the auction house were holding a charity auction for the drinks trade during the 1st lockdown. After 4 successful bids I was hooked and then got my husband interested as well. Since then we have bought and sold items many times! In the current wine auction I have 3 items for sale and as per usual I am extremely pleased with how the team are promoting my items! They have done a lot of research and put them on Instagram and Facebook to get them out to a wider audience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Best Whisky site out there, with plenty of bargins to be had.....if you know what your doing, and if not, there are huge past auction pages to to browse to give you a guide on pricing.

EDIT: the organisers got back to me and informed me that they could hold up to 6 bottles for me and then send them out for £10p&p. I think that's very reasonable, hence my edited response. It's a very good website, but the £10 blanket shipping cost isn't good value for money if you're just bidding kn one bottle. For instance, I bought a bottle of Kilchoman for £35, which is a bargain. But add on the commission (although the commission is absolutely fair) and the postal costs, and you will pay over the odds compared to other websites for new bottles. Perhaps a graduated postal cost (e.g. £5 for one bottle, £10 for 2, etc.) would be fairer.

One article missing when I received the parcel. I have sent the email and also made the call, but I have not got any response yet.

Excellent website and service. Fast safe delivery. Have used in the past and will use again.

Once I made payment and after one week it still keeps sending me emails that I have not paid. Then after that it took another week or more to shipped out my purchase. The total time taken from payment to delivery is quite long. Furthermore 15% comms is quite high compared to other similar auction sites.

I think the auction is great but the shipping cost are too high i know how much it costs to send items with a carrier and yours are excessive.
