Worked closely with Laura at VV on a recent study and really enjoy how streamlined the process was! Forthcoming and practical about incentives as well having study groups be a part of cool projects.
Really really bad experience. I completed 4 mystery shops in August and still haven’t been paid. I was told 21 working days and it’s well over this time frame. Everytime I phone there is no answer, when I message on Facebook messenger I get ghosted on there too. This is definitely a scam market research company! They get you to do the work and then don’t pay you!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. ***SCAM***
I recently participated in a skin care study with vocal views. I’ve previously done studies with other market research company’s but vocal views by far are the best I’ve worked with. All emails and instructions were very professional and clear on all steps. And the staff were very quick at replying to all emails. Very happy and can’t recommend them enough
Vocal Views is my favourite market research company, I highly recommend them. I carry out assignments for several and they are the best of the bunch. I have made £370 since I signed up to them 20 months ago through product testing (a product is posted to me and I then fill in online surveys) and traditional market research interviews (online, via video call). Incentives are paid promptly and communications are clear.
Such a fun, interesting experience. Setup and participation were smooth and easy and the team who conducted the interview were lovely, patient and accommodating. All communication was swift and simple and ill definitely be applying in the future the easiest and most enjoyable money I've made in a while!
I took part in a market research for skin care where the product had to be sent to my home. It arrived on the day I was told and we started the research. I was sent reminders at each stage which was great. I felt supported through out. I would love to take part in other studies with them as it was a very smooth process
I have recently just completed my first market research for Vocal Views. This turned out to be an enjoyable experience for me, as well as being well rewarded. For me, what really matters when working with anyone is customer service and open lines of communication. This is where I can rave about both elements with Vocal Views. The members of the team I dealt with were friendly, informative and always got back to me promptly with any issue I had or even just to keep us, as participants, updated. With the particular research I took part in, there were delays to the start but this was handled perfectly with open communication and understanding so it didn't bring any negativity to the experience I had with the team. On the contrary, it helped to highlight their high level of customer service. I would definitely recommend using them and I hope I will be lucky enough to be selected to complete market research again in the not so distant future.
The company is great to work with - a little much on the emails but it did help to keep on the timeline for the surveys that needed completing.
I took part in a skincare study for Vocal Views. Overall it was a great experience. The Vocal Views staff were extremely organised and sent helpful prompts and reminders throughout the duration of the study. It was also fun to try out new skincare and have the opportunity to contribute to the research process. If you haven’t already done so, I’d recommend signing up for a Vocal Views study!
I participated in an In Home testing study with some skincare stuff sent to my address. The whole process was very organised and the staff here always made sure to contact us whenever we needed them. They provided clear instructions too. The actual project itself was quite easy and didn’t take too much work and I got the skincare products out of it which is a big 10/10 from me!
Took part never got paid. Currently going through small claims court for them.
Initially it was difficult to get on to studies. When I was finally accepted onto a study, it was easier to get on to others (this did take a few years of applying). The problems started when I went on a research campaign where I had to visit several shops and then fill in a lengthy survey afterwards. In total it took up about half a day. I didn't get paid after about a month, so I raised an email with them and I got a standard response of "we'll get back to you, please be patient." Didn't hear anything for a few months, so emailed again; same response. I then had a phone call trying to recruit me for another similar study, mentioned the outstanding incentive, but they just said I had to email the support team and were quick to get off the phone. I have tried several times to get in contact with them and I have still not received my incentive a year on. They have never got back to me with any explanation as to even why I haven't been paid. It would be fair enough if I had done something incorrectly, but they have never said anything. My advice would be to not waste your time with this company, other survey sites will actually pay you for your time! 19/10/23- Just an update on this. After going through several verification steps stipulated by TrustPilot, my experience was deemed as genuine. Only then, did VocalViews respond to this review and actually email me. After approximately 3 weeks of "investigating the matter" (after the year of non-responses), they finally gave the reasons for me not being paid. Apparently the survey client thought that my photographs were fake and that I had not completed the surveys correctly. I am very disheartened by this as I took so many photographs and could have easily provided more to prove that they were not. It also easy to check the properties of the photograph and see if it has been tampered with or copied from elsewhere. I was not given any feedback on any of this and spent a long time of the surveys. Vocal views want me to amend or delete my review for money. Not sure if this means a positive review yet.... This is the exact wording in the email: "Despite this, we completely understand that you could have been told this a year ago in order to understand where you went wrong and why you haven't received an incentive. We would like to put our lack of communication right. We would like to offer you a £50 incentive. This is something that we want to do in order to maintain a relationship with you and to apologise. Please let me know your thoughts. We would like to pay you this £50 upon the agreement that you remove/amend your TrustPilot review. This is us wanting to mend and tackle the complaints. Please let me know your thoughts 🙂" You may or may not believe my review, but please take care with site, as you may not be paid for your hard work and not be told why. I would still avoid this website!
Recently participated in a market research session with Vocal Views. The Vocal Views staff were very thorough in their explanation of the process, and continued communication throughout the process to ensure I was available and understood how the meeting would work. The person leading the interview was also friendly and clear in his questioning. I really enjoyed my experience with Vocal Views and think it's a great way to make some extra money. I look forward to participating in more interviews in the future- thank you!!
Took part in market research with vocal views. Was very easy to take part in, the members of staff were very thorough and explained how the process would work and I got a call before the market research was taking place and on the day to make sure that i was attending. I cannot fault the experience and the host in the meeting was very friendly. This is a great way to earn extra money and I will be definitely taking part in more market research focus groups. Thanks again Vocal views Kind regards Nicole
From start to finish my experience with Vocal Views has been great, the team is super helpful and insightful and has promptly answered all my questions. I never felt unsure of what to do or when and have felt supported throughout. The research interview itself was super interesting and again the information provided by the team at Vocal views was excellent. Payment was received as stated. Overall, a 10/10 experience!
Update: Vocal Views has tried 2 different times to get this review taken down. In the interim, they've successfully purged negative reviews from their Google Reviews, including a duplicate of this one that I posted once they tried to take this review down for the second time. The negative reviews that you can see are only a percentage of the ones that actually get written. Vocal Views’ organization and payments have always been a mess. You basically never qualify for studies so even before the other problems it’s almost not even worth taking the time to apply to studies with them. They struggle with communication and are usually extremely difficult to get a hold of. They are consistently late on payment when you happen to get into the extremely rare study you qualify for (yes, longer than 21 days). One time I even had to email them for weeks in order to get them to pay me at all, and their staff often don’t know the actual parameters for their studies. For example, I was explicitly told that I could participate in a particular study on an Android phone, which turned out to be incorrect. I showed up and had to be turned away because the study would not work on that device, which made it a big waste of my and the client’s time. If I were a prospective client of Vocal Views, I would not hire them to conduct research as, from my experience, you can’t trust them to provide a quality service. As a participant, I will be staying away from VV and sticking with more reputable websites like Respondent. Those are all past experiences I’ve had with them, but this recent occurrence is the final straw and is what motivated me to post this review. I participated in a study on gaming recently. There was the main part of the study and then, at the end, participants completed a short 5-10 minute survey. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue on the researcher/Vocal Views’ end, I and several other participants were unable to see the survey. All we could see was a white screen. I then spent the next 40+ minutes troubleshooting the survey issue, communicating with the team about the problem, and waiting for them to fix it. Keep in mind that this time extended way past the original end time for the study, which meant that I was not being paid to stick around for an extra 30+ minutes. However, I was committed to completing the research. During this time, I was verbally assured that I would be fully paid for my participation. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the survey to work (not sure why anyone didn’t just email me the survey questions, that seems like the obvious thing to do) but eventually, the main researcher told me I was free to go via written message on Zoom, which I took a quick photo of in case there were any problems later down the road. As you may already have guessed, I, of course, did not get paid the full incentive for my participation. After being late on paying (as per usual), Vocal Views opened and resolved a “dispute” against me, shorting me a chunk of my payment. I immediately reached out to them explaining the whole situation and have now been emailing back and forth with support for weeks to no avail. They are adamantly unwilling to pay me the promised incentive and are unwilling to acknowledge the reality of the situation, which is that I was hired by Vocal Views and I did everything that was asked of me — onboarding calls, email confirmations, responding to texts, a tech check, waiting for an hour prior to the study, and doing everything possible to complete the end of study survey — which means that it’s their responsibility to make sure that I’m paid in full. I last spoke to an individual who claims to be the highest person in the company and just keeps saying “you didn’t complete the survey.” Yes, I didn’t complete the survey. It was physically impossible for me to complete the survey and I spent more than my fair share of time on that portion of the project. The participant is not responsible for technical issues on the researcher’s end. Unlike reputable websites like Respondent, Vocal Views does NOT protect its participants. It’s up to Vocal Views to have systems in place to ensure that participants are paid. Instead, every time you work with them, you’re taking the chance that they’ll just tell you “too bad, so sad, we’re not paying you” for whatever reason. There are many other reviews echoing similar situations. Sadly, you can do everything right and still be left short or with no payment at all. This is bad for participants and clients. I’m the type of person who puts my all into anything I do and Vocal Views will only continue to drive away reliable, hard-working participants with this type of behavior. To Vocal Views: The only resolution that is acceptable is for your company to pay me the full payment that was promised.
Responses were very slow from the support team. One thing was promised as payment when booking onto research and a different amount was paid. I have proof via email of the original email but I am being ignored. Very disappointed!
They paid me. What else can I say :) I am happy.
Done a few surveys for them over the last 2 years. Take ages to pay you. Usually 21+ working days where as every other market research company I've dealt with pays you within 2 weeks including weekends in the calculation.
Once again, I got looped into doing one of their studies. I think each year will be different, but nope. I've done three separate studies for them, and each time they take months to pay, if they pay at all, and customer support is abysmal at best.
