I have been using this company to ship boxes to India for a few years now. They are amazing. I have never had an issue with them. They are quick to respond and will always work with you to get the job done. This time around Sharmila was my contact person. She did an excellent job!!! Very happy with her attention to detail on getting the boxes delivered. She went above and beyond to make sure everything happened seamlessly.

I was extremely satisfied with the entire process, from pickup to delivery. Throughout the journey, I received consistent updates on the shipment container, complete with tracking details right from day one, which put my mind at ease. Although the overall delivery time exceeded three months, I had anticipated this, so I have no complaints in that regard. Additionally, the delivery staff were exceptionally pleasant and friendly, adding to the positive experience.

Universal relocations helped me ship some boxes from USA to India. The process was very smooth from the start till the delivery of boxes. Pathetic company to work with. I shipped my entire house hold stuff from India to USA. 46 boxes in April. And then 6 boxes in June. Both billed separately for us. The first shipment arrived in June and I had to keep that in storage for 3 months and paid for it to universal. The other 6 boxes arrived in august and got delivered to me in August itself. Now, in October my rest of the shipment was delivered but they lost 7 boxes. Lot of stuff damaged. Now, team is refusing to corporate and says gang only one box is missing. No one picks calls and replies to emails with multiple follow ups. DO NOT CHOOSE UNIVERSAL RELOCATIONS.

I inquired about the cost of relocating from the city to a smaller town situated 140 kilometers away. Initially, they provided me with a quote of Rs. 28,000. Following my request for a revised estimate and two subsequent revisions, the final quote was adjusted to Rs. 20,000. A polite representative visited my apartment, assessed all the items, and suggested using a 20 ft container for the move. On the day of packing, the process commenced at 10:30 AM and extended until 9 PM, which was significantly longer than anticipated. This duration of packing and loading, lasting 11.5 hours, contrasted with a previous experience with another moving agency that completed the same task in 5 hours. After loading the vehicle, they requested the assistance of two individuals for unloading at the destination, a service they had initially promised at the time of providing the quote. Universal's personnel claimed that this was the sole service available at the quoted price, which left me questioning why they had initially provided that amount. Our team, consisting of eight people, handled most of the unloading. However, during the unpacking process, it was surprising that they insisted on taking the empty carton boxes with them immediately after unloading, resulting in a disorderly unpacking process. Consequently, many of our belongings had to be temporarily placed on beds and kitchen countertops, causing the entire area to become disorganized. I had already made a 50% payment of the total cost after the loading process, and they persistently pressured me to settle the remaining 50% payment the following day, even before the unloading and unpacking were completed. During the unpacking, they were insistent on retrieving the carton boxes immediately, despite my offer to send them back via a courier service. Their unprofessional approach to the entire moving process left me deeply surprised. If you are seeking a secure and stress-free transportation experience, I would not recommend their services.

Universal Relocations were the delivery agents for our household goods sent to the USA from South Africa. They were extremely attentive and we were kept informed at all times of our upcoming delivery. Our items were delivered today and our delivery guys (Mukesh and Martin) could not have been better. They were friendly, organized and unfazed by our driveway. They unpacked all the items we wanted them to and I highly recommend them and UR for the services we used.

I have booked interstate moving thru Universal Relocations. I have approached a few other movers but Universal looked reasonable I also got another reference from one of my friends, of course he used to move from India to USA. From day one I have issues not only till delivery, still no response on the damage claims. I got a quote in June, the estimate was about 900 Cubic Feet for the price of $6000. It was about $6.3 per cubic feet. Other few companies are giving around $5 per cubic feet but did not go because of various reasons. I know we cannot believe any one since the quote is not final and it is also not a binding price. So usually we prepare for about 10% more or less than the quoted price. But I have got the final volume of 1500 cubic feet and the overflow of the 26 feet truck by 600 cubic feets and the bill is almost $10000.00, which is 60% more than the estimated price. They initially said a 26 feet truck will be assigned to my shipment and will not be moved to another big container, but they brought a 20 feet truck and eventually they moved my stuff to a big container for shipment. In one of our discussions over phone they said 26 feet truck will hold 1500 cubic feet (online it says 26 feet truck can hold 1700 cubic feet) and they will use 26 feet truck to ship my luggage but after loading they said that my stuff was over flow on the 26 feet truck and charged about 590 cubic feet more. It did not fill the 20 feet truck when they loaded on the first day. They came the next day to collect a few items (about 7 items including two storage racks) and their package stuff, just for these they added about 600 cubic feet. There is no way for me to check how much load it is , I have to believe what they say. It should be little more than 1000 cubic feet since it filled a 20 feet truck. For the final bill, they raised it from 900 cubic feet to 1500 cubic feet. It is a shock for me, I did not prepare for that much increase. One of the reasons to increase the cubic feet is the way of packing. Book shelves were shipped as is (assembled) and open shelves, where as one of my other move few months back, the book shelves were filled with books or other small items to save the space, same with couple of storage racks, they can be about 80% less size if they unassembled the two racks but shipped as is, so it occupied much space. I called to enquire the size, no one takes responsibility and send me to different people for different query, I spoke to sales person for quote, move manager at source, move manager at destination, accounts person for payments, and more. There were few damages at both, loading and unloading time, walls, the furniture and also floor at my new house, I have provided photos for the evidence, there is no word on that even after a month, no one takes ownership and sending me between sales and move manager at the destination. I signed for an insurance waiver but still there is a minimum coverage for the damages but never responded even after multiple enquiries. About 10% booking deposit to confirm your move. Remaining 50% of the total cost is due up to 3 business days before pick-up date and the remaining balance after final invoice is due up to 3 business days before delivery date. Other few companies act differently, they wait for the final payment till delivery. Also there was much push every time for the payment, I was also traveling and did not have Bank access to pay big amount.

I had taken reviews from a couple of friends about Universal Relocations and based on their positive reviews, I called Universal Relocations and got Richard Maben to talk. I got to learn a lot from him about shipping and he was very polite and displayed exemplary patience and knowledge to make me decide on choosing URL. After I spoke to him about an year back and getting convinced, I never contacted any other movers. Now almost after an year, I am shipping my items to India. Richard made me free to ask any questions and he answered with patience though I repeated many of them. He was highly professional in his approach and I had one of the BEST customer experience dealing with him. After having set up my move to India from US on advice from Richard, I had another experience pleasant experience to share. It was on the couple of days of packing the items. It was not easy task to pack nearly 400 items for a full container load, but sheer since hard work from Rozario and his accomplice Manny made it possible. They toiled so hard and even during that hard time, Rozario responded to all our questions and doubts with extreme patience without showing even an iota of irritation. Kudo to Rozario too. Having got the BEST experience from Richard Maben and the packing man Rozario, I hope and trust that Universal relocations has only people of same skills and attitude and make my relocation experience an unforgettable one.

The worst experience I have had ever. The delay in shipment followed by change in terms and conditions so that they can charge more to the customer. and when they delivered they lost items and doesn't want to pay for the lost goods

Unprofessional delivery of a piano. They don’t know how to transport such instruments and didn’t handle with care. It got damaged. No adequate tools, no belts! These people have no idea how to move a piano!

The shipment arrived much later than I expected (I shipped it in April and it arrived in late-August) but still within the outer limit of 120 days. I was happy with the efficiency with which Mr. Thiyagarajan kept me updated about the status of the shipment. I was also happy with the efficiency of the pick up and drop off process.
