The company cold called my elderly mother in law. The fitter came round, turned the heating on and then tried to convince us that the system, which was flushed a few years ago, had not been touched for years and was full of sludge. When we asked him to leave because we weren't convinced by his credentials, he became angry, shouted at us for being rude and told us that we were preventing him from giving useful advice. Not impressed at all, clearly using the end of winter fuel payments to try and frighten people.
