Poor quality of the score printing of one volume London pro musica Edition. I had to pay on arrival about 24 euros in customs charges in addition of 15 euros of shipping costs. No response from the 'Contact us' email at first. After a few weeks I got an email of apology from Mr Buckley, who kindly offered to replace the badly printed volume. It is a pity that I had to pay the customs fees again...

Paid well into three figures for a “fully renovated” and “excellent condition” wooden (probably maple) recorder. (Moeck Tuju Tennor). I was not at all happy with the condition (being conservative in my description here). Staff were prompt in arranging a return…..so I can only suppose they intend to re-list. I was only Issued a partial refund, initially. I had to request the postage be refunded separately. Thoughtless at best, I don’t want to consider the less kind interpretation. Beware second hand instruments for which no photographs are provided. (It is the work of moments these days to take a high quality photo…..so the lack of one when I ordered should have been a massive red flag. However EMS seemed to have a good reputation……now ruined with me. i won’t be stung twice.) I paid less than the amount for a less well regarded brand elsewhere, but brand new. A little easily achieved servicing was indicated as I suspected, but at least the minor issues were addressable, as opposed to the, in my opinion, permanent issues that I took issue with in the used instrument that I received. I wish I’d done that in the first place. Because I now have a “box new” and un tainted instrument, with which I am more than happy. And if anything, am more attached to because of the small amount of work I did to finish it to a more refined standard. (A minuscule amount of reading gave me the necessary confidence to effect the slight improvements required.) I will never roll the dice on a used instrument again. Regardless of the “reputation” of the seller. Without seeing it with my own eyes first. And even then, not from this shop. Or its technician. Used or otherwise.
Speedy processing and delivery of order
This is a beautiful instrument to behold as well as to play. The metal keys match the wood perfectly. And there is a rich, mellow tenor tone. My wife looked askance when yet another recorder arrived, but I simply held this up and said: "How else shall we spend our money if not on beauty?" In her silence she concurred. Brilliant shipping by Royal Mail, arriving on the Pacific coast of Canada in less than a week.

Order arrived within 7 days after it's been shipped. Package Was in good conditions. I am glad for the service. I am a beginner. I have been playing plastic alto recorder Yamaha B 314 at home for a while easy melodies. It sounds good. Fingering seems easy It is a question of well covering the holes and memoryzing the low and high octave notes using only 7 holes but in different way. I am an experienced musican I read music and I use to play guitar, piano and violin but by the time and by a costant practice I wiil be able to better play recorder the same Baroque sheetmusic I am playing by violin. I thank Early Music Shop for how they take care of their clients and I also thank Royal MAIL tracking service by punctually communicating informations about the shipping and delivery process.
I live in Clearwater Florida and finding a decent wooded recorder is hard in my area. I am happy my Recorder teacher told me about The Early Music Shop. I have purchased twice and even though they are located in London England I got both orders in 7 days which is amazing! They have great recorders at good prices.
