Scoot House, 19 Falcon Ct, Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland, TS18 3TU, Middlesbrough,
I can't put no star rating otherwise I would have. I paid for a listing, following a load of business this and seo that, guaranteed this and provide that. Well I'm unbelievably dissatisfied. Poor service, I urge everybody to steer well clear of this company, and for heavens sake DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. EVERYBODY THAT'S LEFT A REVIEW PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA MY WEBSITE FUNTIME SPA HIRE WE WILL PURSUE THIS THROUGH ALL AVENUES TO GET THIS COMPANY LOOKED INTO AND FINED, WE CAN COMPILE ALL OF OUR INFORMATION AND GET AT LEAST OUR MONEY BACK.
If it were possible to award no stars, I would. EXTREMELY disappointed. When I initially made contact and was very specific with my ideas, I was assured this was no problem. Money was duly paid. Unbeknown to me, the web design process was then passed to web.com in USA The website designed was atrocious and despite providing the specific text I needed, this was altered or omitted. EVERY email was ignored and a genetic reply received. It was not possible to log on and make changes myself. scoot finally admitted what I wanted was beyond their capabilities and I should not have been sold the package... However they have since failed to refund the design package fee and had the audacity to charge a hosting fee although they were hosting nothing. Every email to Scoot is ignored, no phone call ever returned and predictably, the full refund we'd been assured of failed to materialise. Scoot customer service is a DISGRACE and non existent
I wish I had read the reviews online before making a payment to these guys! The service is appalling, they took 2 weeks to set up a Facebook page (which I already had), literally took my cover photo and profile picture down and re-uploaded the same pictures. Despite contacting them numerous times about this and why it was taking so long to get the posts up, they still proceeded to waste time! The posts they put up where basic to say the least - literally referring people to my website - as if I couldn't have done that myself! Despite logging onto their scorecard, where I can place comments regarding future posts, which I did - they ignored my request! It states they will updated posts after 2 days..well after a week and me having to call them, they then proceeded to leave the future scheduled posts on there and then created new ones based on my request. It does state on their score card, you can request future posts to be about a particular topic - they didn't even adhere too! I logged a complaint, which got ignore, requested to speak to a Manager who was rude to say the least - ended up cutting her off after she starting being rude and condescending on the phone to me! I then emailed customersupport@scoot, they responded with someone will be in touch (still haven't heard anything to this day and i've chased them up again, I then rang them, only to be told the original manager I spoke to is the one who handles complaints!) Oh and last but not least - they owe me money back, I cancelled the subscription before a month was up and you can rightly guess, they've not refunded the money back!! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!
I was stupidly conned into thinking it was a good idea to do business with Scoot! After reading the reviews I decided that the day after agreeing to use them I would not like to continue further with their services but when contacting them I was able to cancel the direct debit but not the money I paid up front! Even though I hadn't received any of the services from them and it was less than 24 hours! Utter disgrace! I cannot see anywhere in the contract where it says they do not give refunds. Never ever do business with scoot!
Total con don't touch with a barge pole.in the so called terms and conditions once they have your money u can not get a refund. Conned me out of £280 .disgusting outfit to deal with they want shutting down
Some facts I have learned in the last 4 months: 1) They claim to "give" you a free month up front to try their service. No they don't - what they do is spend a month faffing about, then bill you in arrears. Finally when you cancel - and you will - you still have to pay them for the last month. 2) Web page creation? Forget it. All created from trashy templates with grinning young business people pointing at things. Admittedly the text will be written from an interview, but unless you have a script ready they will just write down the words that pop out of your mouth. The funniest/saddest thing was my Facebook page which showed my location as St Albans, Newfoundland, not St Albans, Herts. All their web techies are in the U.S. 3) Driving traffic and leads? Forget it. None. Apparently my £100/month was just for traffic from The Independent newspaper search box. (I don't think there is even such a thing). Google Analytics confirmed visitors to my Scoot website never got above single figures. So basically I agree with the other reviews. As soon as they say they're from Scoot, or web.com, just put the phone down and save yourself £100s.
These 21st century conmen spent half a year coaxing me into a £400 advert that was going to help promote my new business. It failed miserably and has done nothing at all. I've had no links at all! Not one. Now I'm looking into suing them for miss selling a product totally unfit for purpose. Avoid them at all costs. British media eh? I should have known better.
On premium listing and not got any business. Wouldn't even rate them 1 star. Keep getting calls about google Seo but when you say no they become so rude. PleaSE SORT SOMETHING i HAVE PAID FOR BEFORE TRYING TO SELL ME MORE. Will not be renewing better off burning the money
I've just cancelled my order/contract with them (or at least I hope I have)! I was invoiced for elements that I hadn't ordered and when I queried this with them it generated a stream of conflicting Direct Debit confirmations/e-mails and phone calls. This appears to be a very unprofessional organisation that uses questionable business tactics.
I'm positive after being persuaded yet again by these con merchants to keep my business on their site I had relayed at least 3 time my business address, its name and my name which are all wrong, as i see from the receipt of £18 in an email ive just got. when it try and ring to cancel the numbers in the email they go to nowhere which im sure is against the law... Terrible terrible service considering they are so hard sell to keep you on going but fail to change your details every time. Looking for a way to contact to cancel... ended up here!
The will tell you anything to try and sell you their pathetic services, including that they are google partners. don't fall for it. They put the phone down on me when I suggested that they should give us free trial to prove that their advertising work.
As one of a number of small businesses invited to a free seminar it was refreshing not to receive any hard sell but receive good clear advice on developing our online presence and some specific one to one advice too....Excellent. Thank you Team SCOOT Stockton you should all be very proud :-)
The presentation was of an excellent standard and very practical. Questions were answered in a clear way to help us all understand the practicalities offered and how we personally could benefit. Just one thing I would have appreciated, a few minutes before you started the presentation it might have helped us all if you had asked each of us in turn to declare our name, company and where we were from to each other! Didn't detract from the presentation, but did mean we were sat among complete strangers! Marian Duncan, MARH, RHom, LCHE Registered Homeopath, Darlington
Please do not advertise with Scoot by any means necessary! They are complete liars, I spent over £900 with them on a new website (which I cannot use), 5 Adverts in Local Papers On-line etc (which don't exist), Constant help with updating my website that they made me (which hasn't ever happened) and GUARANTEED work from customers (I have had no customers or phone calls not even one hit on my website from Scoot) Its a shame that I got carried away with speaking to Jamie a lovely man from Scoot he was so persuasive and persistent and helpful that you think everything you are getting is true. The truth is...it's a load of rubbish. I have never been able to speak to him or anyone in the office since and they constantly fob you off with the "oh no I am so sorry about that" let me look into it for you and never get back to you. I have emailed them and called them numerous times, just please do not go with this company no matter how good they make it sound it is rubbish and all a lie. Just a waste of your hard earned money
I'm not the kind of person for wiring reviews, however I feel I must share just how terrible my experience with Scoot/Web.com. I never got any business from their advertisement strategies. They were dishonest in what service they had agreed to provide. The website they created for me was suppose to be SEO's so that it appeared on or close to the first page of Google. Upon searching even for the exact search terms found in the web-domain itself, some 3 months later it didn't even appear in any of the top 30 pages of Google! I spent over £330+ with them over 3 months and got absolutely nothing from it - it was the biggest waste of time and money I have ever invested. I wasn't even offered a partial refund of any sort, despite the complaints I had made to them (which took a lot of me chasing up on, rather than them contacting me regards my complaints). It's a shame, the ladies on the phone seemed very nice to talk too, but in the background, the service I received was absolutely appalling. Even the tracker on the website they created showed no regular traffic going to the site, and despite setting up specific search terms, upon further investigation, none of these search terms were used, and just a load of random unrelated search terms were used. I was majorly mis-sold on this service or lack of. I am awaiting a copy of my original phone call before I take further action on this complany, and possibly seek legal advice on at least getting a partial refund of some sort, as I have never been stung this bad from a company.
My company has been listed with Scoit & Sun Directory. All of the information is out of date. There is also a re irw from Sep 2015 which refers to a service that hasn't been offered for yesrs and a person who has absolutely hardly anything to do with my business. If you're going to list a business get the facts correct. No credibility whatsoever.
Great business finding website. Quick and easy search facility and soo easy to update my business listing
I didn’t have the best experience to begin with. I was having a website designed by Scoot and Web.com. Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly what I was wanting. I initially cancelled the site and received a call from someone called Daniel. As I told him what had gone on his attitude was really helpful and he said right let me sort this out. He reset Direct Debit date and then we can get going with sorting this mess out. Well that was music to my ears and I kid you not I have been so happy at what Dan has done he has been so helpful at helping me out and he appreciates what a plonker I am on a computer compared to most, he has talked me through everything so even I understand it and I believe he is a massive asset to your company. His people skills are tip top and you can have a laugh about things with him. All round and I am not writing this just to make him look good, I know the website would never be the same without his input and I totally appreciate what he has done my wife and step daughter think he's the nuts. We as a company would love to take this guy out and have a good drink with him. He is very understanding of what every client needs and he gets it hoping you give the geezer a pay rise as he deserves it many thanks. Gary Porter- The Urban Paint Company Ltd
As i've been with Scoot i've had great service, would recommend for all. I've personally had a personal sales executive with Jamie who's had excellent contact with myself!
I like Scoot because they genuinely try to find solutions for your business, rather than just trying to sell new services all the time, which may or may not be useful. Nice people too - always helps!
