Overall we have loved Pinwheel for our young tweens/teens. It gives us peace of mind knowing that they are safe online. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, because we do run into weird issues with our son's phone in particular from time to time, and have to jump on with Pinwheel service staff to help us out. They are usually able to resolve the issue though.
I contacted pinwheel confused & needing help with 3 separate questions today and was very pleased with the courteous professional friendly support provided to me via the chat portal. Grateful for well trained patient knowledgeable support staff. I would add a 5th star 🌟 if I could call & speak with support over the phone.

The level of service is outstanding. The protected experience was critical in teaching our child safe and smart device usage. As she got older, it was a little more limiting than we preferred, so we needed to leave the program, but we'll be back for our next child.

Pinwheel is fantastic! I searched high and low for a good option for my son that has the parental control I require and the flexibility and "cool" factor that he wants. And their customer service is top notch! Cannot say enough good things about Pinwheel!

One star for the software and one for the phone. While this product is great when it works, if the phone needs repaired no one can do this due to the software. We’ve had it 5 months and there’s already a problem. We’ll have to reset to factory settings, which only pinwheel can do and will lose our kids info on her phone. Then after the repairs will have to reinstall this, which again only pinwheel can do. You have to wait for a call back so can’t do any of this when it’s convenient for you- HUGE oversight with pinwheel developers, there should be some workaround for repairs. Will never recommend pinwheel to anyone due to this. If I had to do it again, would just install bark in a phone

You folks kind of pioneered zero-tolerance hi-tech parenting -- the key piece of a success in helping someone with a p*** addiction come clean for some time, so they can gain hope for their future. Pinwheel has brought to life the viable scheme of using a phone as fun/useful but non-pure-entertainment (therapist approved) apps, which we will carry forward to a regular phone later in his life (with some MDM / real time AI nudity filter) control with another adult partnering with him). This matches the rule I've had for years: If something improves your life, keep using it, if not dump it.
