NexGenT (DBA NGT Academy) was founded by two Air Force veterans who have trained thousands of engineers for the military. They have combined the military-style training philosophy of job readiness with decades of network engineering and cyber security experience working at Cisco Systems, Arista Networks, and Dimension Data into an immersive program to get people into cyber security or networking careers faster and more effectively than ever! NGT Academy is on a mission to help 1 million people get tech jobs by 2030. There will be 3 million unfilled cyber security jobs in the market by 2021. We want to close that skills gap by providing people an affordable education that gets them job-ready for a career in cyber security. NGT Academy believes that students shouldn’t be left with outrageous debt from degrees that don’t teach the required skills to succeed in the workplace. We believe we have the best program to equip anyone to be cyber security specialists in the fastest way possible. We believe in having a strong foundation in network architecture before students go into our cyber security training. Once the student masters the fundamentals in networking, they are better prepared to step into our cyber security training program along with real-world projects.
I love NexGenT; not sure how to really describe it but you've got to give it your best! 😍 Go NexGenT, you Rock...
NexGenT Academy is like a family. The staff are extremely friendly, their course materials are up-to-date and they have a great networking system to get your foot in the door with IT Security. I am glad I chose their Bootcamp. I can't wait to graduate.
I had the best experience during lecture on Introduction to Network Engineering.
I was able to conquer my imposter syndrome and gain confidence into getting myself out there in the IT industry with a breeze thanks to this program. A definite recommendation to anyone in doubt and in need of a little guidance.
An amazing hands on experience with great teachers, great labs and lessons along the way. The key is "You". You will get out what you put into the program. If your ready to put in the work. There is a vast amount of material and resources here for you to achieve your goals!! I came in ready to work, and I walked away with my CCNA Certification and Network Engineering knowledge that will change my life forever. Thank you to the team at NGT Academy!
This was a wonderful experience. I felt like I was in a real interview, I reviewed some of the fundamentals in network engineering, watched some of the videos from career services, and felt great. I truly appreciate this. Please keep this as part of the program.
I had the best experience studying in NGT. The mentors gave me a solid stepping stone in IT in general and Networking. Thank you so much and wish you all the best :)
Overpriced and no industry recognized certifications.
i have really enjoyed this program. Very helpful educators who are always available to assist you. I enjoyed the hands on labs which help me learn a lot and practice it on my own time. The career services was amazing, i learned so much which we be very helpful through out my life.
This was a great experience. I have learned a lot during this course. Instructors are very helpful.
Mrs. Kim was wonderful. She listen very well and gave me much insight on how I could improve my chances on breaking into the industry. Very soft spoken and you can tell that she cares and really is here to help the students. I know Mrs. Kim loves what she does and I hope one day I will have that same passion that she has inspired in me you guys rock!
Not only did NGT.Academy prepare me for the industry, they awakened the love for instruction I had deep inside and helped me launch into Technical Instruction as a career!
NGT Academy is the real deal, (1st), they are helping to demystify the prevailing notions that breaking into IT or Network Engineering, at any age is impossible. (2nd) the very structure of the curriculum which includes a robust practical application through hands-on work, plays an integral part building and fostering practical and applicable experience for the working world!
The course offered little more than what can be found for free or severely less expensive from sites like YouTube, Udemy, Professor Messer etc.. The instructors were great. However, the content was not worth the price of admission. I would strongly advise against paying what they are asking for the content received. The entire program felt very thrown together and poorly planned/executed. There was a small section of virtual cyber games/simulation exercises which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. The simulations were great in context, but the performance of the platform these simulations were run on was abysmal. Save yourself the money and get the free/cheaper options. If money is not an issue, go with WGU or another accredited institution.
Great people but the education portion is lacking. Thought there would be more hands on experience instead of death by terminology. I could of bought a book for that. Career services team is over the top, best part of the program.
NexGent Understands!! I am enrolled in the self paced FSNA courses and just got over a life altering experience and situation. There was no way during that time that I could've paid attention let along attend my classes, but now that I am in a better health and situation, I reached out to NexGent to get some information that I needed and the response time was within minutes and confirmed what I need to know. I started strong with them and they definitely want the best and help students try to achieve their dreams and goals!! Xavier J.
I have had some problems with my landlord for some time which negatively impacted on my ability to continue my studies with NexGen T, it made me miss a lot of live sessions and the blame cannot in anyway be attributed to NexGen T, I was enjoying the classes immensely with the first class lectures before I had the unfortunate run with my landlord, and have not had proper internet access for almost a month. I am confident that I can make up whatever time I have lost and still catch up and pass my certification exam and continue to project the institution in a great light I look forward to hearing from my academic advisor about the way forward Best regards Tennyson
I enjoyed the interview experience. There were a lot of well prepared questions that I was able to use them as practice for potential, future interviews. I did not have all the answers to the questions, but at least, it will allow me to practice for future interviews. Doing this interview allows me to be on both sides of the table. I learned by being the interviewee as well as the interviewer. Having gone through an interview, like we did, it allows me to prepare like "dressing for the interview", learning more about using Zoom for remote interview, using the professional background in Zoom, learning the features like recording if we do want to record, and how to set up Zoom meetings. I also get to know another peer in class that I can reach out in the future if I have questions or to use as networking. I had spent many more extra hours to prepare for the interview, so the time is well worth it for me to prepare for future interviews. I would not have learned as much as I did if we did not do this mock interview. Since I have gone through this interview, I have gained more confident to tackle future interviews now.
It was quick and easy
Kaizen interview simulation provided me with great exposure to the real interview environment. I like that most of the questions helped me to build a whole picture of what I have learned so far allowing me to structure my knowledge into the answers for the interview questions. It does not really matter if you can anticipate what kind of question is it going to be when you indeed know your strengths and weaknesses. I would've made some adjustments to the job descriptions I see them a bit too broad and less specific so it will be more closer resemble the real world scenario. Also, we found that some questions regarding the project and tools are interchangeable. Thank you all so much, Christian, NextGenT for helping us to get the job!
