NexGenT (DBA NGT Academy) was founded by two Air Force veterans who have trained thousands of engineers for the military. They have combined the military-style training philosophy of job readiness with decades of network engineering and cyber security experience working at Cisco Systems, Arista Networks, and Dimension Data into an immersive program to get people into cyber security or networking careers faster and more effectively than ever! NGT Academy is on a mission to help 1 million people get tech jobs by 2030. There will be 3 million unfilled cyber security jobs in the market by 2021. We want to close that skills gap by providing people an affordable education that gets them job-ready for a career in cyber security. NGT Academy believes that students shouldn’t be left with outrageous debt from degrees that don’t teach the required skills to succeed in the workplace. They help you market yourself to potential employers even when you are still training. I like how they truly care about how you are promoting your knowledge and education you are pursuing. I was in the middle of some training videos and they messaged me about mentioning that I was in training (and how to do that professionally) on my LinkedIn profile which was awesome because it improves my marketability!
Honestly, trust the process and trust your mentors. 1 month after the completion date I was able to land a job as a Network Administrator for the biggest hospital chain in south texas! With the knowledge gained from NGT I have a broad understanding of my day to day and I couldn’t be happier with my experience

DO NOT go by the Trustpilot reviews. Most of them are created from fake emails that have a SINGLE review ONLY. I decided to take their course last cohort after reading about them but I believe you can get a lot more value by doing other relevant courses that have actual market value/recognition. I would totally suggest you to avoid this platform and investing the kind of time or money. The biggest problem is lower standards of course instructors and terrible support staff. If this is what I wanted, I would rather do a self-paced program from Coursera/Udemy

Pros: NexgenT claimed that if you complete their program, put in the work, you will most likely a job in the field of cyber security. In my experience, that was mostly true. I was able to pass my security + exam, and in just under 4 months of job searching, landed a entry level role in cyber security. I am extremely happy for this. The individuals in the career success department of NexgenT really went out of their way to help me and spent hours assisting me with finding jobs, writing resumes, cover letters, and interview prep. Without them, I would definitely not be where I am today, breaking into this field. Cons: The downside to this program (and their claims) is that even with a security + certification, breaking into the field of cyber security is immensely difficult, even with experience (I have none). It will takes months of job hunting. The program went through a few instructors during my program and we were not regularly informed about what was going on. In terms of the prep, I did not feel that what was offered truly readied me to enter this competitive field. I heard they are changing the program and updating it to include many more aspects that should help future students, but I cannot speak to that because I am unaware. I am rating this a 4/5 because without NexgenT I would still be stuck at my old job. Now I am ready to start my new career.
NGT Academy provides a great program that gives you the foundational knowledge to build upon to become an SME in Cyber Security and Network Engineering. With great instructors and career services they give you the tools you'll need to become job ready to excel in the industry!
Great place to start your IT Career Journey. Awesome instructors, highly knowledgeable and very helpful career coaches available to walk you on your job search. The resources to help you develop a hands-on experience are outstanding, with a community page for the students and instructors to interact with each others. Highly recommended!!!

I went into NGT expecting a really simple "here's the info, good luck" type course as you'd expect from any online program. What I got was a fully hands-on (virtually of course) experience, with pages and pages of notes that were more than just notes. They were tools I use even after graduation!. Honestly, I refer my coworkers that want to get into IT to check out NGT. Best decision of my life
being a member of the first ever full-time cohort, we had our wrinkles to iron out. My overall experience was great, the instructors were experienced and very knowledgeable, and I was fully prepared for the journey ahead of me by the career services team.

This is by far the best online institution that I have ever completed! You will gain hands-on practice labs, and instructor led video learning! The program is self-paced so you can complete in 6 months part time!
