About NGT Academy

NexGenT (DBA NGT Academy) was founded by two Air Force veterans who have trained thousands of engineers for the military. They have combined the military-style training philosophy of job readiness with decades of network engineering and cyber security experience working at Cisco Systems, Arista Networks, and Dimension Data into an immersive program to get people into cyber security or networking careers faster and more effectively than ever! NGT Academy is on a mission to help 1 million people get tech jobs by 2030. There will be 3 million unfilled cyber security jobs in the market by 2021. We want to close that skills gap by providing people an affordable education that gets them job-ready for a career in cyber security. NGT Academy believes that students shouldn’t be left with outrageous debt from degrees that don’t teach the required skills to succeed in the workplace. We believe we have the best program to equip anyone to be cyber security specialists in the fastest way possible. We believe in having a strong foundation in network architecture before students go into our cyber security training. Once the student masters the fundamentals in networking, they are better prepared to step into our cyber security training program along with real-world projects.

Program thus far has been great, instruction is good and not too difficult to follow, even for a newbie. Labs have been helpful to give more real-world experience, instead of just a cert.

The way the system is set up is great and easy to understand. I really learned a lot during my experience. I will pass the FSNA in due time.

Once I become familiar with the site, it was easy to figure out what courses I needed to take. NGT academy's support system is robust. The support staff is quick to respond. The course videos are impressive, easy to understand and well structured. This is my third week and so far, I'm very impress. No surprises. No surprise costs. I hope that moving forward the program will continue to meet my expectations.

Supportive in the context of providing opportunities for feedback, supportive groups of learners, extra opportunities to delve into the material or have it expanded

I was looking for a program that would help me well round my skills in Networking, and I'll have to say I've found it with NexgenT! The learning paths are easy to follow and Jacob Hess is a great instructor that does a great job of explaining the material and also makes it fun to learn. I highly recommend this program if you want level up your skills! I will be submitting an update soon.

Very easy to understand and follow. Instructors break it down, so that no matter what level of experience you have in the IT field. Anyone can follow along and learn what is it needed to become a network engineer.

Great, although there are some personal things that I am trying to take care of that are also important, it been great to get started and struggling to get organized for everything I will need ahead. I will do my best to straighten up and fly right, regardless of my physical abilities. I am looking forward to becoming another Stephen Hawking’s of Cybersecurity, lol. It is important to look at a Grand Design of where you want go in cybersecurity, although I had alot of it was schooling for me, a handson on approach with experience in labs is key to allowing yourself to set goals in what you need to know and where you want to be in a few years. In this profession, you can’t do any of it half-way, it’s either your all in and gotta suck it up because nobody cares about where you been or your pains of the past, it’s where your headed in the future that matters now and how you plan to be a part of it. It’s important that I get more training to prepare myself for the difficult road ahead and need to improve with more handson labs and training that will truly help me adjust for the certification tests.

I just received my welcome aboard package and I can't believe the amount of learning materials that are included. I feel like this is going to be worth the time and money

Quality of the information seems is everything I have been looking for in my IT studies. Although it isn't strictly enforced, the schedule keeps me accountable for staying on track with the lessons.

It was a long hard road for me a father of 4 and working construction in hot or cold weather can leave you drained tired and motivated to just lay down but I pushed through it all between giving my kids the attention they needed when I got home from work and making sure I had enough sleep for the next hot/cold long work day, now few months later I have just complete my first exam for my Full Stack Network Associate I am very proud to be where I am at now and whenever I needed help or felt lost/ confused there was always a mentor or someone in the program that is willing to help and make sure I was ready for success.

Good program. The FSNA unit is a great beginner for no one with previous experience.

Being able to learn such content without any background experience. Definitely user friendly and very well taught.

When you are a family man with kids and tons of responsibilities, it is very difficult to navigate to a new career in IT. The way the lectures are packaged in modules and delivered; I was able to go module by module at my convenience. Though demanding, Jacob Hess is a great instructor and Mentor.

I was a former student. I had identified early in my program that I wouldn't be able to complete the program without going bankrupt. I reached out to no less than SIX PEOPLE from multiple teams at multiple leadership levels for assistance. Only 1 person (career counselor) tried to help. 2 people, a FORMER DIRECTOR OF "STUDENT SUCCESS" (let that oxyMORON sink in real quick) and a FORMER instructor refused to help me. 3 people (a FOUNDER, an IT Career Development Executive, and some lower admissions rep) all ignored my requests for assistance. I gave them SIX MONTHS advance notice that I was going to drop out due to bankruptcy...if I hadn't focused on landing a job when I started to do so, this would have happened. I avoided bankruptcy...after they threw me out of the program for failing to complete it. There was no motivation by them to accelerate my learning path and no desire to accommodate me trying to catch up. But I'm still on the hook for $25,000 of education that I never received. This...whatever you want to call this brand, is absolutely disgusting. There are plenty of other self-learning programs out there that don't charge you your first-born and have better support services in place. I expected better from a veteran-founded organization as a former veteran myself.

Dave made NGT where I want to be. He was very professional, relatible, competent, and available. He made sure that I understood what I was becoming a part of.
