Easy to install, no special tools required, just a phillips screw driver. Seems to capture all steam/smoke and diverts to vent fan (make sure the fan is on).
Was tricky getting it up but we use it all the time!
Really works! We have always had problems with our smoke alarms going off when I make anything in the oven or on the stove. The vent on the microwave just doesn’t cut it. This thing is amazing!

The MicroVisor works really well! My husband cooks a lot of fried foods on the stove and the microwave and upper cabinets constantly needed to be cleaned. It does work well but the only thing is it looks kind of cheap. So after I use and clean it, I store it in the pantry.
Hood extension works very well, as long as the microwave fan has a high cfm draw, and is vented to the outdoors. The fan on my microwave is ~400 cfm and vents directly out of the kitchen wall to the outdoors. The hood extension helps direct the cooking fumes to the fan and eliminates about 80% of smoke/fumes that would otherwise come into the kitchen area.
It meets my expectations. It helps pick up and the smoke/smells from what we cook on the stove, and directs it towards the exhaust system.

The actual product is great. Works as described and has really made cooking a more enjoyable experience now that we worry less about setting the fire alarm off or raising the indoor AQI (we have a detector) too much. We have birds which are very sensitive to AQI. The only constructive criticism I have is that I immediately did not trust mounting this with the hardware present on my microwave. I decided to drill out a bar existing on the microwave, install 3 m6 rivnuts and then enlarged the holes through everything in order to really get a solid mount. I had some left over automotive m6 bolts with a philips drive, which made it possible to install without having to modify the provided mounting bar much. My wife and I are a bit accident prone and we've already bumped the hood a few times, I'm really happy with how solid it is now.
This product surely helps avoiding the cooking grease yo get to the top cupboard doors which is great. I would surely recommend this product.
