Microvisor - removable mini hood extension for microwave over the range
We love the MICROVISOR. It truly does trap the smoke in so the exhaust fan can blow it out. No more greasy upper cabinets. We also got the light which is great too.
Works well and as intended. It's also pretty simple to install.
Quick delivery, easy installation. Only down side for me is if I’m standing next to the stove I have stand back or bend over to see the rear area. My wife of 5’0 has no such problem. The hood does capture a lot more smoke and exhaust so it does exactly what it advertised.
We renovated our kitchen and our OTR microwave wasn’t removing all the steam and grease from cooking. Once we added the microvisor, it made a huge difference! The only thing I would change is to add canadian dollar selling price as it is double the US dollar cost with shipping! (That is the reason for 4 stars and not 5)!
The hood arrived quickly and was packed well to prevent damage. The installation was simple, and the hood looks great between the microwave and stove. I like the fact that cooking fumes/smoke no longer boils up onto the cabinets is great.

This is a well-designed product. The material is good and size is perfect.
When we installed the visor, it looked like it had been there 4 years ago when we bought the stove. I wish we had it then because of a ceiling dark spot we have from not having protection like the visor. It looks beautiful!
Very easy to install and it works great. I did put about 5 washers on top of shield and bottom of microwave to firm it up just wedged them in nice and tight
This product didn't fit my microwave with filter have to remove the filter for it to work
Great product. Easy to install. Superior customer service. Totally resolved the problem of steam and grease getting on the cabinets above the stove. Made cooking more enjoyable since steam and heat were deflected away from the front of the stove. I wish I had known about this product a long time ago. Great value for the price. Shipped quickly. I've been using it over a year and have no regrets! Protects the microwave and helps protect the cabinets. I still don't have 100% capture of vapors and a roiling boil will still send hot vapor on cabinets. No big deal I mostly got this so the front of the microwave isn't damaged because a coworker told me early microwave failure is often due to the poor design where the microwave can't handle so much steam on the front electronics. I like the look and the material is a good balanced gauge steel. Not to thin and not to thick. (that's what she said). I suggest adding side skirts to it to protect cabinets even more.
