My experience with the team at KiwiOz Nannies has been nothing short of excellent so far. I have been in communication with Teagan from Day 1 and she has always been super friendly, helpful and responds to my emails and questions promptly. I really enjoyed my video interview with her a couple of weeks ago and I think the agency seems very professional. There are plenty of job listings, so that is always a good sign! I love that they have such a great support network for their nannies too. I am really excited to work with them in the future.

Terrible company. I applied through this company well over 6 months ago and was told there would be plenty of positions I could apply for being that I was already living in London. I provided all details and went through all screening and interview processes including providing references and after a month or two they completely stopped contacting me and ignoring my emails when I would say I was interested in a specific position. After many emails and a few phone calls that went unanswered I gave up and found a different job in the corporate sector. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of interest they showed in finding me a fitting family and the lack of responses. The interview process for nannies isn’t exactly quick or effortless so a bit of effort from the agency regarding communication wouldn’t go astray.

Going with KiwiOz cost me not just thousands in fees but, untold stress, countless sleepless nights and anxiety about the childrens’ emotional well being. Eventually I had to temporarily resign from my job to deal with the fall out. In under 12 months we had 3 useless so called “nannies” from KiwiOz. First one resigned after a couple of months to do a job she applied for before she left her native New Zealand (nothing to do with children) despite committing to a year . She used to routinely come home at 4am mid-week as well having been drinking all night. Second one (for which KiwiOz charged me again!) was ill and totally incapable of doing the job – the type of her illness meant it was also dangerous for her to be in sole charge of small children. Third one left after 6 weeks to do a job she did in her native New Zealand before she arrived. These so called “nannies” who cost thousands in fees are not nannies they just girls who want to come to London and think this is an easy way to do it. Once they settle they look for a job they actually want to do. The other issue is the agency setting up wrong expectation – the last girl today me the agency told her the job would be “cruisy”(actual quotation) and it is actually quite “hectic”. This is despite the fact the she only worked 4.5 a week was paid top rates. There appears to be very little, if any, quality control screening going on (and I am sure Karen will write back assuring me that there is plenty but this is NOT evident from the quality and the behaviour of the women sent over to look after my children masquerading as “nannies”) – most are just girls who wish to come over to London and this is the means of getting there and getting bed and board - they have no qualification and in my case, it turned out, no interest in children and it is unclear why they can be marketed as “nannies” and command a qualified nanny salary. The last girl was paid the same as a live in nanny. We thought that would mean she would be passionate about caring for kids and switched on and she was neither. She just used us as a the a launch pad for her life in London. The women behave as they wish – the break contracts they do not work out their notice period/agreed time and the agency is unable/unwilling to help. They have no process to do with this and take no responsibility. Some of the “consultants” having a very pushy sales women. Massive pressure is exerted on you to make a choice. You are being made to feel like you are unreasonable for not wanting any of the girls “as they have now been placed with other families” despite the quality of the candidates being below par – I had a barmaid suggested to me as a good candidate. Her sole reason given for wanting the job was: “the trains from Slough to Central London are inconvenient – I never get to go out”. Working mothers – beware: going with KiwiOZ you may be inviting total chaos into your household.
