The good bits: Administratively reasonably well organised and communicative. Reliable airport/hotel transfers. The not so good bits: - flight details changed twice, one in particular from daytime to overnight and from direct to a stopover. Their excuse was that the airline had cancelled the flight but in fact I was still able to theoretically book the flight on the BA website. I suspect Jetline found a cheaper option for them to increase their profit margin. - Jetline booked a pre cruise hotel for one night in Hong Kong at the "Cosmo". Check-in was disorganised, it took about 30 minutes to find and process our booking; bearing in mind the limited time we had there, it was about a twenty minute walk to the nearest restaurant as the hotel didn't have one; "breakfast" was a small plastic box, with plastic cutlery, from which we had to consume a cold mixture of rice and meat in our room. - Jetline also booked a hotel in Singapore for two nights at the end of the cruise. It was the "Furama" with a distinct Japanese flavoured ambiance. It was generally of good quality but the room we had been allocated contained a bed high on a plinth with shelving obstructing easy entry into it. It was also positioned in a tight window recess, making it impossible for a person positioned next to the window to leave the bed without trampling over a partner. It was potentially very dangerous, particularly for older people, to exit the bed at night without falling because of the restrictions, it was like an obstacle course. The shower and toilet were squeezed into a tiny space, approx. 5' x 3'. - Upon leaving the hotel, we discovered that more traditional "international" style rooms were available and the choice of room was open for selection by the booker. - We had asked Jetline to book the hotels as they should have had the knowledge and experience to select appropriate hotels for our visit. They clearly had not performed any research or quality assurance check on the hotels to advise their customer of the features and limitations, to ensure customer care and satisfaction. - Furthermore, Jetline have untraditionally not asked for any customer feedback on our return. I wonder why? This was the first and last time that I will use an agent to make my travel arrangements in 50+ years. Norman Westcott
