Great VPN! The amount of servers are great.
It's the only VPN that I've found to work where I live (Uzbekistan) -- there may or may not be more, but it works where some of the leading VPNs can't. Also, their support is great -- they are very quick to reply to resolve issues.
Easy to use and set up and that it's integrated into Dashlane now makes it so much better.

Edit: I have been fully refunded before i received a reply. Im happy with that so all is well now. Hopefully they improve their system so this doesn't happen again 😊 So back in 2016 Hotspot shield was offering a deal, it was approximately £60 for a lifetime membership (60 years). So I have my membership, everything is wonderful and happy. I have my subscription end date 2057 and everything is going perfectly. 9 years later on the 1/11/2024 hotspot shield randomly decide i need an extra 60 years and bill me again and extend my service to 2116. I'm not rocket scientist but I'll be long dead before then. Hotspot shield haven't replied on their customer support email and financially I cannot afford to pay this unauthorised transaction. It doesn't appear as if they have a English phone number and I don't want to be charged international call rates for a mistake they made.

If you are able to download and install the app for windows, then you are good. However, If you simply wish to use it as a browser extension don't get robbed. Not working with MS Edge.
Currently on Day 4 of trying and failing to get ahold of a human — thus far by chat, email, and telephone — to resolve a Catch 22 situation. I'm a longtime Premium subscriber — just renewed again last month — but the app (on both mobile device and laptop), while acknowledging my recent payment, is providing only Basic (ie the free, limited version) service. The suggested remedy in their FAQ isn't working... and the option to "chat with a human in real time" or get an email response "in one business day" are both limited to Premium customers. I guess I could purchase a second Premium subscription to get customer service on the first one, but that's... nonsense. HSS is a great product, but whoever is administering it these days has dropped the ball.
Great product until you try to unsubscribe. They make it impossible - multiple emails, finally get a confirmation then they continue charging me anyway. Avoid.
The Microsoft Edge Extension is horrible. I can sign in to my account, but I'm unable to connect. On Android, it is one of the best VPNs out there.

I've tried other VPNs but Hotspot Shield, is the best one I've tried so far. I remember one time I was struggling to connect to one of their servers so I contacted their support. They are very reliable as they provided me assistance right away and my issue was resolved as well. What I like about Hotspot Shield is that they have multiple servers that I am always using and they have my favorite protocol from my previous VPN which is the Wireguard. Highly recommended!

Leistung und Zuverlässigkeit waren in Ordnung dafür, dass es sich um einen der günstigsten Anbieter handelt. So ziemlich das, was man erwartet. Wirklich unschön fand ich, dass ich 4 Jahre lang versucht habe, mein Abo ordentlich zu kündigen. Egal ob über die Website oder in Kommunikation mit einem Mitarbeiter, es wurde mir immer zugesichert, dass meine Kündigung angekommen ist und dann zum Tag der Verlängerung wurde doch immer wieder abgebucht. Letztendlich habe ich die Zahlung dann einfach verweigert und bin zu einem anderen Anbieter gewechselt, der das hoffentlich genauer nimmt.
Reliable and fast
Awful in every way! Speeds are slow, support is non-existent and the prices are extortionate. Hardwired auto-renew is an absolute scam! There is no real warning of renewal either, they just want to grab your money and offer nothing in return. Trying to raise a ticket or speak with an actual person is the worst customer service experience I have had in the last decade by a country mile. They do not care about users, only the payments they receive. It just gets worse... When you do hear back from their team they don't listen. And to get my money back I am now going through the fraud department at my bank as I did not authorise the latest transaction. You are always recommended to go through the company first for a resolution, and after doing so, being directed to the fraud department makes a lot of sense as this company is full of grifters.
