I've had Globelink for several years and I stuck with them because their service was good and claims processing efficient. They have apparently recently hired a subcontractor to process claims, and it's a nightmare. I just submitted 15 pages of nonfillable .pdfs with fields so tiny that the writing is hard to make legible. The forms ask for things that are not necessary for a simple medical claim--passport number?--and the request for bank details uses terms not familiar to me in any banking system I've dealt with (many of them appear to be relevant only to India). Now that I'm reading the other reviews, I too am afraid that this is some data harvesting scam and I'll never be paid. For now, I'll give them 2 stars in the hopes that the claim is paid... ***Update: Globelink saw all the negative reviews and moved heaven and earth to address my concerns (they also emailed me directly and called me), so big thumbs up for that! And my claim was paid! However, the memories of 15 pages of nonfillable .pdfs (HOURS spent filling out, scanning, uploading) and the poor communication from the processor are still too fresh for me to give them 5 stars, but I'll bump up to 4 and will at least consider renewing with them when the time comes.

I bought insurance with Globe Link, sadly I had to go hospital during my holiday, I sent a claim as they suggest me but to have an answer from the insurance company it's really difficult, after claim they answer me only one time with an automatic reply, I had to call and call center told me to send another email and in 1 day they will answer but after the call it's already pass 6 days and in total more than two weeks. From an insurance I expect a fast answer not 2 emails that never answer and a call center that push back you because I can be have an answer only by email.

You never can rate a travel insurance until you need to make a claim. Have been with Globelink for 4-5 years on and off, (no insurance taken during pandemic, because i was not travelling). Easy enough to take out the cover even with minor medical history, and very competitive on price, especially the annual policy. Recently had to make a claim to recover some medical expenses on a cruise where my wife and I caught influenza, visited ships doctor to obtain diagnosis and medication, obtained invoices etc. Returned home to claim back our direct medical only costs incurred, now the fun has started, pages and pages of forms to fill in, most info requested not even applicable or the form in English. Took several hours to complete, wanted my bank details!!?? Submitted all the various info minus bank details which they eventually agreed i could supply once claim agreed. Heard nothing back not even an acknowledgement of claim. Update 13/02/24: Globelink director intervened, claim cleared and initial problems hopefully resolved for others to have a better experience. Be warned because of three individual visits to a doctor, this was treated as three individual claims and accordingly deductions of 250 excess applied. From $740 of doctors fees I received 209 euros. Having said all above Globelink did take interest in my comments, and thoroughly investigated processes used by the independent claims handler HWA.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Claim has been put in three months ago and no refund for stolen luggage. I have emailed and just a generic email "please be advised that your claim is under process under a priority list" I think the claims might be a scam. I have emailed global link who revert me to HWA who aren't processing the claim and have all supplied receipts and documents. Do yourself a favour and use a different insurance company.

** Amended review. Since my initial review and terrible experience, the insurance company has responded and intervened. They have gone above and beyond to remedy the situation and are reviewing their claims process. Seeing as the claims handler is not on Trustpilot, and this review should be fair and balanced, I am amending my review to reflect my experience with the actual insurance provider - Globelink. Overall the insurance product was one of the best I compared online. In the end, my claim was successfully settled. In summary, despite a rather antiquated process which I trust they are now revamping, the product is well-priced for the extensive cover and does perform when needed. Given the company's response, I can only trust that they care about their business and take matters like this seriously.

sono rimasto bloccato in thailandia ad aprile 2020 causa covid e sospensione di tutti i voli per 40 giorni poi rientrato a Roma con volo organizzato dall'ambasciata Italiana. Mi hanno chiesto tutti i documenti possibili . Alla fine volevano un documento che certificasse la chiusura la chiusura dell'areoporto di bankok, malgrado avessi spedito tutte le E-Mail di soppressione del volo prima rimandato poi soppresso della compagia aerea. Non mi hanno risarcito di un euro. VOI pensate a risarcirmi , la vostra risposta dimostra chiaramente che non rispettate gli impegni presi sottoscrivendo la polizza in oggetto e non accennate minimamente a farlo.

It’s was easy to complete the registration. All of the questions have information about your options. It’s easy to select an option then go back and change to another option to compare the prices. It’s clear what you are paying for. I am a repeat customer as I have had great service from Globelink. No nonsense!!

The rep who dealt with me was super helpful and explained the cover comprehensively. Have used this company for years (the Multi Trip package) and have found it to be the front runner.

I have given this product 3 stars with mixed feelings. It took 3 months with no communications before the small claim was settled. However, when I brought my concerns higher up the chain, my claim was immediately prioritized and followed up on to be sure I was happy.

I was going to buy an insurance from these people, but I first read the reviews of their claims handler Collinson Group on Trustpilot. They are dire, especially recently (late 2023): 47 of the 50 most recent reviews are all one star. So I would look too if I was you before purchasing. Update. I have now seen their reply. They say they have changed supplier. As far as I can tell this is not the first time they have changed supplier. Surely they should have changed sooner? So for myself I will wait to see positive reviews from individuals making claims through the new provider. Until then this remain an excellent front end, but which links to a dreadful claims process if something actually goes wrong and you need to make a claim

The website is easy to navigate and seems straight forward... of course, I just signed up and have not had to make a claim... hope I never will! But the proof will be if I ever do need to make a claim. Until then, it is a 4 star review. Let's see how they rate if I ever really need their help!
