We were able to provide a special Christmas basket of fresh pies, sausages, fruit and vegetable to our father in UK through Fresh Food Express while being in Canada. We were kept in the loop on when the basket was being sent out of delivery and when it was received. Definitely will use again.

Having never ordered from this company before I wasn't sure about ordering joints for Christmas. The joints were delivered by a lovely lady and in plenty of time, they were well wrapped in a wool protective coat with ice packs around them also. The gammon was lovely, very moist and not salty, every morsel was eaten. The rib roast was out of this world, worth every penny. All my guests raved about the flavour. Will definitely be ordering again, excellent service from beginning to end.

We ordered a Xmas assortment of goods: goose, black pudding, smoked salmon, cheese and vegetable box. Everything was stunning quality and truly delicious and packed with the utmost care. The veg box had a wonderful selection: we get ours from the most famous veg box people and this beat it hands down! Everything was fresh and crisp and it was lovely to have a few of each thing rather than oodles of the same and similar veg that goes to waste! Best of all, the cold stuff was packed in this special wool type wrap that meant although Parcel Force was late by over 24hs, it was all nicely cold and fresh. When I called to say thank you, having never spoken to them before, Jillian knew who I was and had been tracking and chasing my late delivery for me! What a service! I cannot recommend FFE enough and will certainly be ordering again! Outstanding!

An innovative and fresh company

Very disappointed with the very short use by dates 3 days for the sausages didn't realise and went to have them on Christmas Eve and the had gone off! (Date was 22nd Dec and delivery was 19th) The order was a lot of money so will not use again

We ordered grub for others. It has been very well received, bar 1 observation, the packaging. Now, 'cos we haven't seen it we cannot state categorically, but on the outside of the parcel there was nothing that said: "Food, perishables open without delay" This almost caused a problem as a recipient left the package unopened for a day or so, unrefridgerated. So, is there any external clue, such as 'Gift from Fresh Food Express' or suchlike. If not, I'd suggest that it may be wise to identify/provide clues to the content so that they may be cared for lovingly, immediately. Else, we await update of the shopping cart software to send different food presents to multiple addresses , which in this day and age will only be the cost of a programmer?software writer for a day or two in India or Indonesia where they are falling off the trees!!

Simply top quality!.....The Smokies arrived in perfect condition....we flaked them, mixed with a couple of beaten eggs, a little milk,then topped with grated strong cheddar, baked it for about 10 mins at 180, then chucked in a couple of par-baked mini baguettes for another 10 mins, then served with butter melting in the rolls and a dram of "Old Pulteney". Take a sip of the whisky and, as it is still burning down your throat, a small mouthful of the bake....the taste explosion grabs you where you like to be grabbed!

This is the first time I have used Fresh Food Express. I can honestly say that the process from entering the website to receiving the goods was simple and the end result fantastic. The food arrived expertly packed - in fact over the years I have often ordered food items from various producers - but have never received them so well packed and preserved. First class service from beginning to end.

Really impressed with the variety, quality and service of all the great local products. The Highland beef steaks and sausages were great as was the haggis and Stornaway black pudding. Can't wait to try out more of the goods on offer.

Jillian is an angel, she supplied us with the most amazing Arbroath Smokies, Haggis and Black pudding. The delivery was fast and packaged in some of the very best eco friendly wrapping I have ever seen. A real taste of Scotland send with real Scottish hospitality. I cannot recommend enough.

Easy enough to order. Some issues with the delivery date I wanted but good communication and extra product supplied (without my request) FOC as compensation. the package was delivered to my wife's work address in the morning. Because of the wool wrap the majority of the ice packs inside were still frozen when we unpacked it at home in the evening. Great packaging really! The Bacon and Black Pudding were awesome, full on flavour form both. Pork joint was O.K. but rolled into a long thin joint which was tricky to cook (to get the crackling hard without overcooking I needed to remove it and cook separately in a very hot oven once the joint was cooked. The sausages (gluten free) were good but be aware the filling is very finely minced (like an Irish Sausage) which may not be to your liking. They were better slow pan fried than grilled. Over all pretty impress and will be ordering again.

The smoked fish is exquisite. i.e.Arbroth Smokies Smoked Mackerel Hot smoked Salmon All have a smooth smokey-ness without it being overpowering.The taste of the fish comes through and is complementary and not in competition.

Pleasantly surprised that the costs were moderate and even more affordable with the discount I received. The food when it arrived was well packaged and very tasty. Will be ordering my Christmas dinner from them for sure
