The pork shoulder arrived frozen - I may have missed this explanation, but a high level of 'water' was released from the joint upon thawing - suggesting unskilled freezing. It also had no outer fat/skin. Result was disappointing dry piece of meat. This first complaint after many very good experiences.

The range of 'difficult to find' produce such as exquisite hand dived scallops and Orkney mutton is delivered very quickly and packaging is well insulated. I've been utterly delighted both with the quality of product and the quality of service. It's been a real delight to be able to buy such native treasures.

As a Scotsman, I ordered Forfar bridies and Scotch pies to share with my friends where I live (in England) while we watched international rugby on TV. The food arrived on time, beautifully fresh and fantastically well packed in insulation that kept it cool. Heated up in the oven a couple of days later, they were great. Everyone enjoyed the food but England didn't do quite as well as Scotland in the rugby. The best thing that most could say about the day was 'Those bridies and pies were good...'

The team at Fresh Food Express go that little bit further to ensure that their delicious products are delivered in prime condition--for example, checking that roads around us were clear of snow before they sent the last package out and checking that it was delivered safely. The food--all the best that Jillian and her team can source--what more can I say?

I have bought from Fresh Food Express many times since the company started trading and have never had a bad experience. Jillian always goes the extra mile to ensure all transactions are as good as they can be. Even in the recent big freeze I was kept fully informed of events and when the courier finally delivered my items, they were in perfect condition thanks to the care taken in packaging all items to an exceptionally high standard.

Placing an order was easy and straightforward. The delivery was delayed by bad weather and their communications regarding the progress of the order was excellent. My order was time sensitive and the company were great at coming up with several options including a full refund.
