Great Fresh food, easy recipes to follow and great value for money

The food tasted nice and the instructions were clear, but the experience was spoiled by one of the pots of yoghurt supplied being damaged in transit meaning I had to clean the rest of the chilled ingredients before starting. This was caused by another pot of yoghurt being stacked on top of it when they packed the bag, so that even a small jostle seems to have push the other pot through the foil lid. When I complained about this they offered to reimburse me for the cost of the replacement yogurt and a £5 voucher - given that even the cheapest vegetarian meal is £40+ for 4 people, this doesn't seem enough to get me to give them another chance.

The Steak was superb. Really great. One egg was broken though (not a big issue) but I think one sweet potato was pathetic. No way was that going to make enough fries for two people. You need to be a little more generous.

The best piece of beef I’ve ever had! Beautiful meal with tasty and fresh ingredients, all packaged really well and delivered on time. Would definitely use again!

We ordered the Malaysian Night Market feast for our New Year's Eve. The customer service was great, and they arranged for our delivery date to brought forward a day when we expressed concerns over recent DPD delays in the area. Ingredients were fresh, well packaged, and it was very clear which items went with each recipe. The recipes were clear and easy to follow. The quantities seemed a bit out - there was far too much of each item for two people. It was great value for money, but we ended up eating half of it the next day!

An excellent experience from start to finish; the box was delivered on time, every single one of the many ingredients were present and correct, and the recipes were absolutely fantastic - truly delicious food!

Absolutely fantastic! Clear instructions and exceptional quality food. The customer service was also fantastic - I had to make a change to the order and the service team were the nicest people - they went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed for my event. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent offering once again from Cookaway. What a treat!

This was the second time we ordered from The Cookaway and this time it was Pakistani food. Railway Lamb was delicious and a vegetable biryani. I do cook curries quite often so I do have a lot of the necessary spices. With the Cookaway you don't need any of this and that makes it really perfect for those that want to try a variety of cuisines but are not wanting to keep a very well stocked cupboard of fresh spices. This particular dish would have required prob 15 different ingredients but everything was provided and came in perfect proportions, packaged with minimal waste. The little glass pots with ghee and paste, I have kept to use again. What The Cookaway might be really perfect for is a weekend away with friends. Wanting to cook together at home but not bring a load of ingredients. Absolutely everything you would need would be included. Maybe consider this for your next friends or family trip or when planning the Christmas period.

The ingredients were very expensive and some of them weren't good quality. Some of the recipes were not easy to follow.

Chips were too spicy to eat - no wine provided with the dish - compared to Home-X it doesn't even come close - very over priced

We loved our Greek meze box, great instructions and variety of ingredients. Favourite dishes were the meatballs and sagnaki but all went down a treat, would definitely recommend!

I purchased via a virgin experience voucher, picture and description nothing like what ended up with. Wanted extra money for things I understand were included. Box arrived, total rip off, could have bought ingredients for third of cost.

I don't think the spice on the potatoes went and although it was very nice I don't think I'd pay £65 for it again.

Absolutely brilliant. Everything comes with it for what you need and delivery to the house was super quick. The biryani we made we thought us making it would be bad. However the card with details meant we could make it like a restaurant taste beautiful. Big pat on the back to them

I ordered the ultimate biriyani banquet as my first recipe box from The Cookaway and joined the live cookalong with Nidhi Verma. It was really good fun, taught me a few things I didn't know, got my daughter involved in cooking which doesn't happen very often and definitely took my mind off things for a couple of hours. We created a delicious meal and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Looking forward to the next one!

The steak and ingredients were great we did manage to cook everything to perfection apart from the tomatoes as about 6 were squashed and we couldn’t cook them on the vine. But this was a minor issue everything else was delicious the steak was amazing and I have kept the sweet potato recipe card to do my own thank you for a fabulous meal. Will Order again
