I placed an order for some boxes on 20/02 that were needed. The boxes were due to be delivered 3-5 working days and have only just been delivered on 11/03, 21 days later. When following it up previously, I kept being told they would be delivered by the end of the week. We no longer need the boxes as we had to find alternative means of packing, and now we are being refused a return/refund. I have explained this and been told that there is nothing that can be done.
I placed an order that was shown in stock. It did not arrive a week later, although apparently if I paid extra I could have had next day delivery. I needed the order for a time critical return. No one bothered to reply to my emails nor provide even an estimated delivery date. I have cancelled the order but after reading the reviews I suspect that I will not easily get a refund.
Reached out to cancel my order an hour after having placed it. No reply
Vile company. Owned by thieves. The law will catch up with them one day
I ordered boxes on 6 February and as of 8 March still have not received them despite many emails. Package is in transit somewhere but their customer service makes no effort follow up or ensure delivery. Don’t use them if you need boxes on a schedule.
Hello , just around the corner from me so used recycled boxes to pack everything and anything . The men working there have always been lovely to me .Even carrying boxes to my car . Heather .
Totally unethical company. Never use them. We asked for a repeat order, and they accidentally used the wrong cardboard (so they wouldn't even fold into boxes anymore!). They refused to replace the boxes, as it was more than the 3 days since we'd received the order (we like to order before we have totally run out and assumed our vendor was capable of repeating an order). They didn't dispute that they had screwed it up, just that they weren't replacing it as more than 72 hours. Clearly crazy from a business standpoint too - your existing customers are (or in this case were!) your best ones!
This is the first time ever i've left a review for a company, this is how disappointed I am at how I've been treated. I placed an order for boxes in December and paid by bank transfer which is what they requested. Chased up the order in January as there was no sign of it and they then informed me they didn't have the stock but are refusing to refund me (only offering a credit note which I don't want as they no longer stock the specific box I require). What they are doing is against the law, and I'm now having to take legal action to get my money back.
Placed and paid for an order, first time ordering. Still have not received the items almost a month later. I have not received any shipping notification or other communication from the seller or courier since the initial order invoice. Judging by the other reviews, I should have checked here first and saved my money!
Well Cardboardboxes.co.uk, you have told me today you never have complaints????? We are a removal company and this was our 1st order, and will be our last. As other reviews have said boxes bent to send, boxes made cheap, extra crease scores in the wrong place. I'll mention here that I was a qualified Flexographical printer and carton maker so have the experience and knowledge to know what I'm talking about. Our order was 5 x 85inch tv boxes and 2 70inch tv boxes. These were for our clients large display screens to be transported and stored at there head office in Birmingham. 1st we paid for next day delivery. So Friday, almost a day wasted for my administrator, then we were told by E... it would be with us Monday. So arranged for someone to be about Monday as our warehouse isn't manned all the time. 8.30 Saturday morning an email from EVRI, your parcel is out for delivery between 5.30-6.30, great we were supposed to be out but had to come back for this. The Boxes turned up in 3 packages folded into 3😡 That's the integrity of the boxes gone. Monday morning 7am at my warehouse unpacking then to see if I can save them, only to find the the base flaps only fold to the middle.?? So the only thing holding the tv in place is the tape you use. Seeing as an 77inch tv weighs around 50kg if not more this isn't fit for purpose. I had to make sleaves with a solid bottom to slide in and glue into place, this helped strength the box and make it more rigid. I called Cardboardboxes and spoke to S......, he asked if I'd take some photos and email my concerns which I did. Also that the so called box for an 85in tv was 77in long, I know tvs are measured corner to coner. 85inch tv is 191.1cm there box is 195cm it should just fit,if the box was the right size. They said it was the right size box I have to measure corner to corner😲 how do I get any padding in? Hold on the height of an 85in tv is 110.2cm but the height of the box is 111cm. E... you like to quote FACTS here are the facts for everyone to see, as someone else has said your word is law. Your tv boxes are unfit for purpose your foam corners you said I didn't order are not for tvs the are picture frame corners, no good for protecting a precious large screen tv. I gave you some constructive criticism in my email to help you make a better box but you know best. We have tv boxes we use everyday on house and commercial moves and have lasted for over 80 moves and are still being used, yours would be lucky to last 2 moves. Hope you don't get to many claims for broken tvs.
Like all manufacturers we are looking for value for money. We used Cardboardboxes for the first time late last year and will not be purchasing from them again. The boxes we ordered had been manufactured wrong and didn't close making the boxes unusable. They had also be packed inside boxes which were too small and the manufacturer had bent all the boxes to squash them in! So beware, terrible product, terrible customer services who don't understand the sales of goods act.
Do not use this company. I tried to cancel an unsent order and they tried to charge me £15 restocking fee on an order worth £17. I reluctantly decided to go ahead with the order and it was taking so long to dispatch that I contacted them and was ignored. I opened a case with PayPal and was refunded fully instantly. Avoid like the plague.
I ordered some used boxes for my house move - and they said that they would arrive within 5 working days, BUT, they arrived after 3 working weeks. I had to spend extra money as I had to buy boxes from another company. I will never buy from them again. Very disappointed customer here.
I panicked because I placed my order so close to the day of moving, but they kept they promise so the boxes were delivered just one time! What a relief! Thank you so much
As many others have experienced, this company really needs to give up selling and look at some other options. I buy boxes and packing supplies regularly for my business from another online company and lately a customer wanted a smaller quantity of products in each box for resale and our regular supplier didn't have this size available so I looked around and found what I needed at Cardboard Boxes, so I ordered them. 2 weeks later and still no delivery so I called and they apologised and said they would ship right away. Another week and nothing and same again, "sorry we will ship right away, we don't know what's happened". This went on until eventually 7 weeks after placing the order it was despatched. I thought it was very poor that they were not proactive at all but the size was what we needed so I decided to give them another chance as we all can have a bad day. Well how wrong was I, it seems this company have a bad day, every day. Another order placed and we had to chase this one as well and it took over 3 weeks for it to be despatched but this was after many phone calls where they promised to speak to the warehouse to despatch it and emails of which none were replied too, so I would definitely say if you get your order in a reasonable time, you are very much in the minority. Best advice is to use another company not within this group to place your order with. We wont be using them again!
I was very worried reading the poor reviews here - I postponed the purchase like 2 weeks because of that. The problem is that I couldn't find anywhere else the exact boxes dimensions I needed - apart from the cardboardboxes.co.uk I took the risk and ordered the three boxes I needed. Around £80 in total. I paid with PayPal using a credit card - as I was worried ( you can always get your money back easily, if you have used a credit card plus PayPal offers some protection :-) I paid the extra £10 for next day delivery - mainly because of the negative reviews. Order placed and now waiting.... They do not even send an email, to aknowldege the order. This was a bad sign. I printed as PDF the final page with my order number. It was the only proof I had. Next day, around noon, Yodel on the door. Boxes have arrived. Very nicely packed. All as expected.
Do not use this company! I made a £250 order on 11th September. Despite company saying they had sent boxes, they did not arrive and they could not give any information. When they finally admitted that the boxes had not been sent and agreed a refund, it was 10.10. It is now December and I am still waiting for the refund. They don't give any advice or help over the phone but just tell customers to email. The emails go months without any reply and if they do reply it is dishonest.
They know why and my advice is, you just avoid them! Honestly, don't waste your time and money! They lost us business! Cant say anymore due to ongoing action against them.
I would give a zero if I could. I cancel my order within hours on a Saturday as I had placed it by mistake. The item cost £3.50 plus £8.50 for delivery. They told me they could cancel it as it hadn't been dispatched but that they would charge me £10 for the inconvenience. Do I need to add anything else? Stay away from these people. Now they are saying that individuals are exempt but at no point in the process I was told that. This information was provided after leaving the review. I would be happy to edit this review if I can get a refund. My orden nr is 86882 and of course I'm an individual, I had ordered ONE box, how could you assume I was a business and intending to charge me £10 for cancellation?
We ordered a large number of boxes for a very specific commercial service we were providing based on a short season. We were told 2 week delivery and they missed that date straight away. After many emails and phone calls, we finally received a partial order after 12 weeks, to late for the season for which they had been ordered. Total waste of money. Now refusing to refund us for the items they didn't bother to send. Utterly disgraceful.
