Signed up with gigaclear and Avonline is the contractors they use and it seems like everyone has had the same dealings with them. When they layed the fiber cables in our area they neglected to instal a plug point to our property so I have been waiting almost 6 months for this to be done…yet still nothing. Gigaclear still are chasing this matter and Avonline aren’t responding so why the heck are they still getting contracts?!? Absolutely poor state of affairs! This company will go under very soon if they don’t do something about their work ethic and standards. Management need to pull their finger out and sort it!! But judging by the fact they haven’t responded to one negative reviews they obviously couldn’t care less.
Avonline are adding virgin media to our area, they have put signs everywhere, they are blocking peoples areas they park.and the traffic lights well what a joke, if they would take the lights off the road and put them onto the grass verge, they really wouldn’t need traffic lights. They are working on the pavements,so why the need for traffic lights. Just so you know Avonline, everyone are ignoring them anyway.come and get your work done quickly then buggar off, and don’t forget to sprinkle grass seed down where you have dug up our grass verges now making it look dirty and muddy.
A total mess all around where we live. No notice of work and blocking people's drives in many cases. Extremely angry!!
absolute tin pot outfit of incompetence, no one can speak english, no regard to your property, damage your water meter then just fill the hole with tarmac. customer service manager a joke, that is when someone decides to pick up the phone. Just How are these guys getting work? do the companies looking for organisations to do work ever read reviews left on here, a joke of an organisation
Shocking incompetence. Appointed by Gigaclear to install fibre optic broadband over ONE year ago and we still don't have it due to sheer incompetence. Each Avonline engineer is not informed of the previous visit and so 'rediscovers' same fault (crushed duct). Instead of repairing the ducting, Avonline merely send out another engineer, after endless chasing by me, to 'complete' the installation, which of course they cannot because the ducting is damaged. And the farce goes on and on and on!
I would stand well away from this company, engineers get promised 'the world' in this job and lied to always. Never keep the Faith in the company, Mental Health is Always Discrimated. And the higher ups look down on you while sat their all lovely and the techs have to slave away, terrible with their attitude, not professional one bit! If I was a manager I definitely wouldn't be running the company the way they do. I also know that most of the company take drugs, and cheat drug tests. The company is well aware of this, and have not done nothing. But discrimate people with medical needs. So if you do need a job here, just Lie!
There lucky I even gave them 1 star I worked for avonline for 2 years I have mental health yet I was the top technician of my area I self medicate at home but was pulled into the office to do a drug test for cocaine (passed), so that was never found but I failed because I self medicate with cannabis at home they made me sit at home for 3 weeks a month before christmas then told me I was fired I appealed this it then took another 2 weeks for them to fire me again but in the meetings I was never asked about work they was all about my private life this company is a joke all gear and no idea so if you have mental health this isn't the job for you they fired me then had the cheek to say we want to do right by you, never once did they try help I will now take them to court not to mention half the company does drugs the only credit to this company is Dennis.
Yesterday I found three avonline engineers drilling into the front wall of my property. When I approached them I was told they were installing broadband cable to my neighbours. They did not seek my permission and have subsequently damaged my garden wall which is obviously private property and has nothing to do with my neighbours broadband installation. They were incredibly rude and their only comment was that they have had worse comments about their installation. They have left an unsightly plastic cover attached to my wall and have also tacked cable along the dividing wall between my property and my neighbours, a wall which once again is private property and lies clearrly within my property boundary. Absolute cowboys, who don't even bother discussing their intentions and go ahead and wilfully damage private property. No customer service at it is impossible to get in touch with them on the contact details they provide
Their engineers cut up an OpenReach duct in order to bodge a Virgin Media duct. I was getting a BT FTTP install at the same time so that caused OpenReach some issues and ultimately meant OpenReach had to dig most of my drive up to fix the damage caused by Avonline engineers.
Just sent virgin media packing as the workmanship from this company who installed the cables on our estate is atrocious. A child could do better. It’s due a third attempt to repair. They have no pride in their work.
Currently rolling out an FTTP networking in our area using the BT / Openreach ducting. Unsafe working practice on the roads and footpath. Chambers not guarded correctly and they've damaged the fibre that service us and two other households. Submitted dashcam footage and reported to Openreach.
Don’t expect anything from this company when the men putting in the lines are complete imbeciles . Driving around like there are no road regulations parking wherever they want and basically not giving a general toss about local residents. Office phone is never answered either I assume it’s because they’d be answering endless complaints! Avoid if you can help it didn’t realise they are a local north east company because they beyond shocking.
Horrendous four days as this company installed Virgin Media cables in our quiet cul de sac with absolutely no prior warning. Huge amounts of noise for days on end, workmen arriving at 6.45 in the morning, litter, traffic obstruction, trespass etc. It has been an absolute nightmare. All workmen seem to find English difficult and there is no one supervising the work. The ‘helpline’ number does not connect and if you email the message bounces back. How are these people allowed to do business in this way and why are companies like Virgin Media associating themselves with such cowboys?
Had to give 1 star as nothing less. Workmen very rude when i said they'd been hitting my, under a year old fence when doing work in my neighbours garden when I was stood watching it move on my side. They blamed the fence moving as it wasn't treated as it was green in places...(this is the treatment). I was asked about my knowledge of fencing, such a rude reply and no respect, so I told the workmen that I had learned from my fence company that treated wood turns green in places after its been injected. Bad language and on mobile phones whilst working.
Cowboys, installed broadband to another flat in my block but they for some reason disconnected the cable to my flat then just left it like that, what a f'ing shambles.
Neighbours were having broadband installed with this company, but the workman decided they would use our front garden as a footpath, across our grass, which had recently been done. On asking them to stop there was no apology, it was as if I was putting them out and I had done something wrong!
Its a shame can't give this lot MINUS 5 stars absolute shambles. Began by posting written warning of work in my cul de sac the Next day The work is literally digging up the whole area for VIRGIN MEDIA (another crap company) Started on a Friday back 8am Sat Still here Thursday March 3rd...no sign of any organisation jumping from street to street then returning BT are now following the around repairing severed and damaged cables.....what a joke HOW DO companies like this and Virgin get permission from Government to cause so much upset damage mess noise ????? No communication most of the workers are not english speaking No apologies and promises from Virgin are just lies NO ONE wants responsibility for this mess We are too soft accept any old crap that comes our way ..should have blocked the street till they left Thornhope Close NE38 8DU Washington Tyne Wear
They installed next door neighbours broadband but in the process of this they dug up our grass…. Didn’t even knock and ask they just got the shovels and off they went… you couldn’t even make it up.
Rubbish company to work for under appropriated under paid, crap or no tools have to use your own, Welsh manager is useless avoid at all costs!!!
What a bunch of cowboys. Apparently they’re “trying” to install Virgin Media in the area. I’ve just spotted one clown using our drive to do a three-point turn with his massive transit. Also blocked our daughter’s drive after promising they wouldn’t.
