They recently installed a Virgin Media box outside my property. All of the mess and packaging was left on the floor, despite a bin was right there. Absolute muppets!

I would like to commend Sam for his immense politeness and professionalism he showed yesterday. I have had a Heart By-Pass and Post-Operative Stroke where he kept the noise minimal,Thank you. Sam is a credit to the Avonline Brand.

Van pulled up outside my home blocking my drive. They knocked on neighbours door to advise them they were going to do some installation work. My neighbour is away. The workers didn't have the courtesy to let me know how long they would block my drive or even bother to explain why they had to block it in the first place. I complained to company who told me van would be moved. It was, only when they had finished their work. By looking at other reviews it is obvious this company couldn't care less about their bad reviews.

Installation work was absolutely hopeless, carried out without any care, rushed job by two incompetent staff who were only interested in trying to fit in another bodge-up that day. Revised and corrected some of the host of problems, and now MORE have appeared. Still waiting after 3 weeks for a THIRD visit to fix the latest mess. Wouldn't trust them as far as can see them. TOTAL COWBOYS.

In early April their engineers started laying down fibre on behalf of Virgin Media (so they say) alongside existing BT Openreach fibre which most households if not all use here. As a result they stretch my fibre so taught it was dragged out of the cable clips on my wall and nearly pulled it away from the BT junction box. Fortunately I'd seen Avonline's vans around and made a mental note to chase them up to fix it - hwowever after I contacted the complaints manager via email they said they would have to reapply for permission to access the conduits as it was on a pavement but they would attend to it as quickly as possible. Weeks passed without any update or progress and I tried to chase but they basically said it was up to me to chase Virgin Media! Today (2/7/24) I just happened to notice a BT Openreach engineer connecting a neighbour to their fibre and told them the story about how Avonline had left me high and dry and he said he'd try and help - five minutes later my fibre was reinstated and with slack again. The moral of the story (and looking at other reviews here of Avonline) is don't use them as subcontractors if you want your brand protected - and I shan't ever buy Virgin Media's services as a result!

My neighbour had a new line installed by these people. Unfortunately, they never asked permission before drilling into my wall and said they did not know the building was a maisonette. I have seen other work done onu property which I suspect has been done by them as well, which could well present a Health & Safety issue. Should I contact a solicitor now?

Gigaclear subcontracted my installation to this pathetic excuse of a company. The engineer who attended my property was a sociable friendly man who tried his best (considering he had been sent by himself to do absolutely everything). Needless to say he came up against an issue and he spent an hour and a half trying to resolve but couldn't. He escalated it for some to come out. And that is where it all ended, here I am a week later, despite 2 calls to Avonline and 6 to Gigaclear, I have no internet. Avonline are not responding to me and neither are they responding to Gigaclear. What a farce - I hope Gigaclear decides that Avonline is dragging their reputation through the mud and stops using them.

I don't often feel compelled to write reviews but the service I received today from your two engineers Andre and Lylod was impeccable. It turned out to be a tricky job that I feel most would have walked away from. They really went the extra mile and I highly appreciate it. Thank you

Just had a visit from Avonline cable installers (Matt and Liam) and wished to note how impressed I was with the speed, neatness and courtliness of the two guys.

Heard loud noises and then drilling which I thought was on the road outside, until I looked out of the window and saw Avonline had dismantled my broadband/phone coverings on my house and had actually started drilling into my wall. No ring on the bell, no checking with me - I had not ordered Virgin Media. They got the wrong house on the wrong street, and blamed the Sat Nav. Not one brain cell between 3 of them. Duh, didn't think to knock on the door and check everything first before they started removing property and drilling holes in my actual house! I've just sent in a complaint and will do the same to Virgin.

Promised a 3 day turnaround to finish by Friday. Instead of which a mess of unfinished work and disarray has been left over the weekend and an obstacle course to get in and out of the house - trampling across flattened barriers, potholes and slippery boardings that are not fit in soaking wet conditions. Left housebound for one day and after three the chaos is considerable. Initial conversations offered hope that is would not be another Grain Broadband drilling and debris drama which occupied last winter on our stretch but sad to say it is the same story under another guise. No space to park, no easy access or exit and in essence a nightmare.

Complete jobs worths! Avonline Networks are subcontracted by Virgin Media to lay fibre connections to residential properties. Even though the contract with Virgin was cancelled (due to appalling customer service), this company still came to install a T junction outside our property - in a completely inaccessible and inappropriate place for fibre broadband to ever be used at the property. They refused to stop and reassess, stating, “it’s just a job, and we get paid”. So, no common sense or customer service available. This was compounded by an instruction from their female boss. All in all, pitiful service. No common sense applied and a complete waste of time and materials. A company that does not add value, is irresponsible and apparently only in it to turn a quick profit. Awful service and belligerent attitude.

AWFUL... Gigaclear doing thier best to provide fibre and the contractor lets them down. Drilled a hole through neighbours old gate post and fed fibre through.. he wants to replace the gate post.. my god.. such workmanship. trying to get them back to fix..

Engineers who installed the lines and who came to connect my property have been great so far, even after locating and fixing a blockage. Sadly they are massively let down by Gigaclears lack of customer service and communication. The engineers are the face who shows up and they get the complaint, despite it having nothing to do with them

I live in an estate in Newcastle where the lads have been working, I am a night shift worker and when work has to be done it needs to be done . I was expecting these lads all over west Denton estate to be on for months outside of mine because let’s face it newcastle city council workers take an eternity. Anyhow these lads work none stop they are very well mannered excellent workers and clean up brilliantly when finished their area. I’ve spoken to a few they are not English lads but such good workers . I’ve just seen on quite a few facebook pages saying the same thing and these are all different areas in Newcastle not just mine . So Avon line just thought I would put a well deserved review on your lads are top notch workers 👏👏

Woke up by workmen this morning at 7.45 creating horrendous noise.. drive coming blocked so unable to get any cars out. When my partner went out she was met with workmen unable to string two English words together and complete disregard. We have had no prior warning about this at all.. what the hell is going on!!!

The so called engineers that turned up to do my neighbours installation thought it was all right to drill a hole though my front garden wall and dig up my lawn. As I was away on holiday could see what was going on via my Ring door bell. I phoned my other neighbour to ask her if she wouldn't mind asking to stop the running of the cable through my property and for her trouble she got a load of abuse. and trying to get any help from Virgin media was task.

Incompetent morons! Super fast broadband my backside. My internet service was working fine until these lunatics turned up and cut it off. No communications or apologies from the company, they couldn't care less. Why the hell do Virgin still employ these Neanderthals?
