- EN - absence io is developed to help HR professionals in small and medium-sized enterprises easily handle team leave, employee vacation, attendance, and PTO. The software is cloud-based, supported with Android and iOS native apps for leave requests, approvals, and tracking. With absence io's online vacation planner, creating vacations is simple and easy. In the integrated calendar, the employee simply selects the appropriate period and sends an electronic absence request to the approver with one click. The manager is notified by e-mail and at the same time learns which other employees will also be absent during this period. In this way, the approver can make his decision on the basis of transparent and up-to-date data and avoid overlaps. Four moduls are provided: Absence Management, Digital Personal Files, Time Tracking and a mobile terminal. The whole system is unquestionably secure, with data stored on central servers in Germany. Mit dem Abwesenheitsplaner von absence io ist das Erstellen von Urlauben einfach und unkompliziert. Im integrierten Kalender wählen Mitarbeiter:innen den entsprechenden Zeitraum aus und senden mit einem Klick einen elektronischen Abwesenheitsantrag an den/die Genehmiger:in. Der/die Vorgesetzte wird per E-Mail benachrichtigt und erfährt gleichzeitig, welche anderen Mitarbeiter:innen in diesem Zeitraum ebenfalls abwesend sein werden. So können Entscheidungen auf Basis transparenter und aktueller Daten getroffen werden und Überschneidungen vermieden werden. Es werden vier Module angeboten: Abwesenheitsmanagement, Digitale Personalakte, Zeiterfassung und ein mobiles Terminal. Das gesamte System ist sicher, da die Daten auf zentralen Servern in Deutschland gespeichert werden. Es ist benutzerfreundlich und leicht anpassbar.

Very user friendly and has all features I expected.
I'm using it for several month now but still got trouble navigating through dates. The calendar looks good, but not that user friendly to me.
I don't really understand the navigation on top (with left/right arrows and some kind of timeline). It's not really clear, and you don't really see the dates there.
It's a very useful tool but asking people to make a review of more than x characters and add their name. Do not really help to be willing to give your opinion. I was about to close it and I decided to add a comment on truspilot instead of absense.io.

Cool! The website is great, but the app has too little functionalty. Would put 5 stars if the app would have the same functionality as the website.

All in all, absence is a very good and well structured tool. But I find the timeline in the company calendar very confusing and it's hard to navigate by it.
Nice tool, easy to understand and use, many functions. Works great.
Tool that just does it's job – easy to check colleagues absence, easy to request/document vacation, easy to calculate remaining vacation days, email with approver, custom country calendars/holidays (when working in international team). Moving between timeline is not so user friendly: it is easy to misunderstand date or month edges – so I always need to recheck selected dates in holidays popup. Comments for conferences and public holidays could be made visible (by configuration), so other colleagues could see where others are going.
It's easy to manage but honestly, you need to improve your interface since it's not as exciting and optimised for me. It's just my opinion. :) But good job!
I'm very happy with absence.io, easy to use, lots of information i.e. holidays left from last year and this year, calendar of colleagues.
