- EN - absence io is developed to help HR professionals in small and medium-sized enterprises easily handle team leave, employee vacation, attendance, and PTO. The software is cloud-based, supported with Android and iOS native apps for leave requests, approvals, and tracking. With absence io's online vacation planner, creating vacations is simple and easy. In the integrated calendar, the employee simply selects the appropriate period and sends an electronic absence request to the approver with one click. The manager is notified by e-mail and at the same time learns which other employees will also be absent during this period. In this way, the approver can make his decision on the basis of transparent and up-to-date data and avoid overlaps. Four moduls are provided: Absence Management, Digital Personal Files, Time Tracking and a mobile terminal. The whole system is unquestionably secure, with data stored on central servers in Germany. Absence.io makes it really easy for me to manage my own absences and those of my team. I appreciate that it's so lean that I always get the information I need at first glance.
there is one thing i cannot do: put working from home for the whole day and also for e.g. 2 hours, during this time, 2 hours child care. the rest is really amazing

Its cheap and it works. A bit clunky though and not particularly user friendly. If you can deal with the interface then it makes a cost effective absence monitoring tool for small business and is far better than a spreadsheet.

Always super easy to use. Always had to email or use an Excel sheet when taking days off...this makes things incredible easy.

I generally like the Absence annual leave booking system as it is simple to use but still very effective.
the interface is cumbersome. There is no way to plan recurrent events. I think they should study a better UX perhaps copying from Google Calendar

I think there should be an option to select a timeline and put vacation days in it as a single chunk of vacation. For example - I am selection an timeframe of 1st to 31st December.. I am taking Mondays and Fridays off for first three weeks and then entire week from 23rd onwards.. Currently I have to apply 4 separate vacations for each Monday and Friday and then another week.. This is slightly annoying for applying and approving..
