I ordered the boots - they are fab in perfect condition as if id brought from the high street - totally encourage a purchase!!! - I got a massive discount as they were £110 in the high street and the day which was the day after I looked they were deal of the day and £75.00 - what a bargin I thought. I saw Rockport boots advertised at a £30 less than John Lewis or Debenhams and ordered and paid via PayPal. Three days later I got an e-mail saying that they were not available. The money had been taken from my account. It offered me a 10% discount if I wanted to order something else. I emailed to say how unhappy I was with this and got the longest ever email in response including the phrases " It is because of the Rockport Sale being so popular and that the 3 members of staff in this office not being able to process a stock report at the weekend when our offices are closed that this was out of stock", and "Our terms and conditions state that each ‘order’ is in fact an ‘offer to buy’ which we can either accept or deny ". It also recommended that I should phone to be sure they actually had the stock. The person who wrote it clearly thought they were being smart quoting from Sale of Goods Act, but when you've ordered and had money taken for goods, you don't really want someone being clever when someone obviously isn't clever enough to count sales against actual stock! I ordered from John Lewis and received in less than 24 hours. Although shoes.co.uk did apologise in their overly long email, you get the quality of service you pay for I guess.

Five days after ordering and paying for a pair of shoes, I had a ( very polite & apologetic) email informing me that they were not available. Instead of arranging an automatic refund, I had to email back asking for one. The offer of a 10% discount on a replacement order does not cut the mustard for me. Much better if this company had up to date stock data. Sorry guys but I cannot give more than 2 stars in the circumstances even though there was no friction between us - the bottom line is I didn't get what I ordered and it took five days before I was told about it.

I ordered some Padders slippers on Wednesday 5 November at a good price and with 10% discount off as a first order. Postage was £2.95 and delivery should have been 3 days later. My account was debited straight away. On Monday 11th November the status of my order was still showing "ready for dispatch" as it had been for days. I emailed to ask why they had not been dispatched and the next day received an email saying that they had now been dispatched. They finally arrived today Thursday 13th November but I am convinced that had I not emailed on Monday I would still be waiting. No apologies or explanations were given. I object to companies taking my money and then I have the hassle of chasing the order, it's bad business sense.

Boots were exactly as shown on the website, and a great bargain price in the sale! Dispatch was quick. Very pleased.

I tried everywhere to get specific lelli Kelly boots for my daughter, they had them here, I called firstly as I was worried of using a site for such a large amount (£75) for my first order, customer service were great really reassuring, and I ordered the boots with 10% off my first order, and they were delivered the next day before 11! I was very impressed

I ordered some Lotus boots, but unfortunately they were unavailable. I immediately received an apologetic email from Lee, who also mentioned an alternative colour or make. Sadly, this was not acceptable as I really wanted the boots ordered. My credit card was credited with the full amount within 3 days - absolutely no hassle at all. Brilliant service - I will definitely use them again.

Best price I could find on the internet for the boots I wanted. They also offered free returns, which is a huge bonus when you're buying shoes/boots on the internet because you never know whether they will fit and returning things can often be a hassle. The boots were in stock and I received them 2 days later. No need to return as they fitted perfectly. I was very impressed with the service and communication and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
