We are still in the middle of our kitchen reno, but we have had our cabinets delivered and we've assembled them. I wanted to take a moment to write a review. Hope this helps someone else trying to decide if RTA cabinets are right for you. I've wanted to redo our kitchen for 20 years but life doesn't always happen like you plan. Due to significant medical issues for one of our kiddos and the ongoing high medical bills, money is always tight. Recently, we had the opportunity and necessity to finally do this. However, excitement quickly gave way to reality when we started planning/budgeting. We visited multiple local cabinet places and big box stores. We looked at numerous cabinets from buy off the shelf to full custom. The prices were insane. The buy off the shelf were garbage. I had never heard of buying cabinets online, but during our search I realized that these suppliers must be getting them from a designer, why not go to the source? Researching online brought me to a few cabinet designers that people spoke highly of and for a good price. The designer does not sell directly but through authorized vendors. The next best thing was going through an online vendor which cut the cost almost 60% from the big box store quote and around 30% off the local cabinet vendors. After figuring out that not only was it possible to get them online, but we could save even more money by assembling them ourselves, then I just had to narrow the search for a reputable source. I narrowed it down to two based on research I had done. I still didn't quite trust this yet, after all we were still paying a big chunk of money and for us that was huge. So, I called both places. Not only did RTAwoodcabinets answer the phone immediately (a huge plus nowadays with all the automated systems and non-existent customer service), but when I asked if they were legit, lol, Motty answered that plus my plethora of other questions I had throughout that same day and the following days. Always with patience and kindness. And I mean, lots of questions. He knew my number and voice when I called, haha. As a side note: I also called the manufacturer/designer of the cabinets, asked questions and confirmed that RTAwoodcabinets was legit. They were very nice and confirmed that they were definitely legit and were one of their main vendors. We designed our own kitchen, but Motty helped us make sure what we wanted made sense AND helped me locate something else we'd seen online. Throughout this whole thing the customer service was top notch. Our only main issue was one of our boxes didn't come and we got the wrong style of glass door. Immediately, Motty remedied both. (And it was the delivery driver who forgot the 2nd box on the truck). We purchased the 'Essex' which are really well made cabinets. My husband, who is very picky and knowledgeable, was impressed. In fact, we recently went to our local big box and they had a new display. It showed an economy cabinet next to a top of the line custom cabinet and outlined the differences. We were very happy to see that, not only did our new cabinets have everything that was their "top of the line", ours had even higher end features than the expensive custom shown. I'm very thankful we found RTAwoodcabinets and super thankful to Motty's patience and professionalism.

Everything went well. Happy with the product. Just a few hardware issues with missing items. But was taking care of in a quick response by your customer service team . Definitely would use again.
Our order shipped in less than two weeks and was delivered promptly in accordance to my availability. The cabinets arrived in perfect condition, other than a couple of minor cosmetic issues and some broken plastic shelf clips. Phil immediately ordered replacement clips and a touch-up kit to resolve the issues. I was a little skeptical about ordering cabinets online but I’m very pleased with the quality and service received, as well as the money saved compared to purchasing the same style at a big box home improvement store. I’ve nearly completed my installation and think the cabinets look great!
Easy to work with and fast response!
When we decided to remodel our kitchen, we first went to Home Depot, then our son reminded us that he had used RTA when he remodeled. We looked online and were surprised to find MANY RTA companies. We chose RTA Wood Cabinets after ready reviews. They were pretty helpful and patient with our needs. The prices were better than Home Depot and the quality was better. We did have a bit of damage from the shipping company, but or customer service rep helped us out quickly.
extremely satisfied with the product service and value with RTA . we bought 6 cabinets for a new kitchen island . worked with zack who gave us great service answered all our questions and sent diagrams so we could make decisions and buy the slab etc. was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other options but the quality of product was good.
Service, price, quality and delivery was great, in fact the cabinets were delivered 2 weeks before the estimated time
We bought the Essex White Shaker Cabinets. The cabinets are beautiful and very high quality. They came in very well packed with absolutely no damage. I am not a contractor and was a little concerned about putting them together. No problem...the cabinets came together very easily...and all of the parts were there. The on-line videos were very helpful. We had a design problem that was our fault and had to order an additional cabinet. Our salesman, Zack, was very responsive and was a great help from day one. Our overall experience was great. We got the highest quality cabinets for a reasonable price. Love the look and those soft close drawers and doors!
Our experience was a complete fiasco. Our cabinets shipped fairly quickly, but sat on a dock at an airport 20 min from our house for 3 days. We had to take it upon ourselves to find out what was going on. After multiple calls and speaking with 6 different people, we found that our shipment had been damaged and the shipping company did not know how to proceed. RTA advised us to receive the order and they'd fix any issues. That's where our first mistake came in. We should have never accepted the shipment. Things were missing, crushed, pierced with a fork truck, there were piles of loose hardware, it was a disaster. It took 3 adults 15 hours to sift through the mess and determine what was able to be salvaged. Our next mistake was to assume that damaged items would be sent immediately. Each time we emailed about damaged or missing items it took a minimum of 2 emails and 2 weeks. Then, when we did receive replacements, they were often damaged as well. We had one cabinet door that required a 3rd replacement and one that required a 4th replacement. We went for weeks with missing and damaged cabinet doors in my kitchen. By the time it was done, two months had passed, 66 emails had been sent, 3 days had been taken off of work to wait for shipments that were often damaged, and many hours have been spent trying to get this mess taken care of. Then when we tried to buy replacement doors for the pantry to fix an issue that was our fault, we were told that we'd have to buy a full cabinet. They wouldn't sell us doors alone. It has left such a bad taste that I cannot even enjoy my newly remodeled kitchen. We know 2 other couples who are doing kitchen remodels. We were the sacrificial lamb that tried RTA. Needless to say, the others will not be using them. Part of the problem was from the manufacturer, JSI. I gave RTA 2 stars because Zack hung in there with us to make sure that we did get what we needed. The JSI cabinets, once you get a product that isn't damaged, are very good quality and look very nice. Assembly isn't bad, but we do recommend watching the videos because the written instruction isn't very clear.
RTA was easy to work with, good cabinets at a great price. They arrived sooner then expected, and everything arrived in good condition. The JSI cabinets are ok you get some higher end features at a good price. The assembly videos could be more in depth. Also a few of the side panels were slightly warped, and harder to put together. I would definitely recommend if you are handy and don’t mind doing the assembly.
Was charged $200 shipping because it said it had to be dropped shipped and it came UPS,I don’t believe UPS charged $200 to deliver 1 box that the driver picked up and carried to my porch.
I ordered a sample cabinet face to review for a remodel. Item arrived promptly and very well packaged.
great idea but very poor quality control. these are very good cabinets but they came with a lot of production issues. broken dado's, miss aligned dovetails, split wood, broken draw slides the salesman was great and replaced part immedialtely, although if they had a quality control department/person this wouldn't have been an issue
The quality of the is excellent. They arrived undamaged. The initial customer service was great. However, I’m waiting for a front piece months later, and not getting updates any longer—and I email regularly asking. It won’t look very good if I have one piece missing or not matching.
I bought two different kitchens, one for my home and one for an investment home. Had a great experience both times, they where very helpful and honest. I would definitely recommend them!

RTA Wood Cabinets was responsive, patient and super helpful in getting my design done. The Cabinets are great quality and arrived when they promised. Only a door was damaged but it was replaced as soon as they were made aware of it. I highly recommend them. Thanks, Jania
