Who is in search of a reliable Cloud memory, „Open Drive“ should avoid. The Free account is useable, but is not possible after a purchase of an annual subscription to upload data. In spite of non-fulfilment of the contract, you don´t get back your 99$, because „Open Drive“ has rip-off „Terms of Use“ and they don't know what obligingness is. Wer auf der Suche nach einem zuverlässigem Cloud-Speicher ist, sollte „Open-Drive“ meiden. Der Free-Account funktioniert, aber nach einem Kauf eines Jahres Abos ist ein hochladen der Daten nicht möglich. Trotz Nichterfüllung des Vertrages, bekommt man seine 99$ nicht zurück, da „Open-Drive“ Abzocker „Terms of Use“ hat und auch in keinster Weise auf Kulanz zu hoffen ist.
I had to check every file and it took me weeks to upload a few gigabytes of files. I went to retrive the painstaking backup of my PhD thesis and experimental data and it was gone! They said they would try to recover it and gave up after one day. I hope my comittee understands; my wife sure doesn't. I have to start over--because I thought I would be smart and do a backup with a professional service. I have had a great experience with a FREE alternate. Don't use opendrive! A week after closing my ticket they renewed my account for a full year automatically. I asked for a refund twice but haven't heard back. Small claims action? Three EMails (prompted) in two months promising a refund and still no news from them. Gents, it is surely not that difficult!. Unless, of course, you have no intentions to pay me back. Clearly stated in my original agreement, that I had the right to cancel and a pro-rata refund would be made. No such luck. I call that lying to your customers. As they say ... caveat emptor ... buyer beware.
It has been more than 20 days that OpenDrive promised to refund the annual fee to me. Opendrive replied twice during this period that the refund would have been effected within one or two days. Nothing has been achieved except downgraded my account immediately.
I have been an opendrive user for just under a month and during that time have been deeply disappointed. For over three weeks, the service has been suffering from lost folders, file corruption and sporadic outages. If you examine the OpenDrive forum, you will see many, many other users are affected. OpenDrive's technical support teams are not responding to requests for assistance, and their sales team has not responded to my request for account termination and refund. I have now taken an account with a competitive product, which is significantly faster at transfer and very stable. In summary: keep clear of OpenDrive.
