I had heard of Opendrive from a rival cloud storage site called Bitcasa. Bitcasa is a startup company in California that promises "INFINITE" storage. That was what they advertised since 2011. However, their windows client was terribly slow, buggy and unresponsive and the integrity of my data has often come into question due to its unreliability. One day everything seemed to go smoothly until all of a sudden my data disappeared from my drive, 80 Gigs to be exact. I was literally scared. Here I was panicking and freaking out because a majority of that data was irretrievable. Their website is extremely inaccessible for blind and visually impaired users, and while I was uploading data, Bitcasa stopped responding and it made my laptop crash. It also used tons of system resources! Well luckily for me, I didn't have to worry about my data being lost forever because I had it backed up on my external drive of 1.5 TB. When Bitcasa decided to raise their prices times 10 (at the time, I was paying $10 a month for infinite, now they want to raise it to $99 a month or $1000 a year), I promptly canceled my account and came here. I've been a member of Opendrive now since Nov 21 and as I'm writing this, it is now Dec 16. That means in 5 more days I will have been here for exactly a month. Right now I'm on my basic free plan of 5 GB, although now I have extra free space for following some instructions on the get free space page. Honestly, come January I'm just going to go unlimited! Since coming here, I've tested the upload speeds with uploading some music files and I must say how impressed I am! It copies very quickly! Everything is there all in one piece, all in tact and not a single byte missing! Customer service is prompt and friendly, and the desktop client for the most part is give or take, 95% accessible for blind users. You simply make an account either on the web or through the windows client, which I believe is what I did, and once you do that, you confirm your email address if need be, and once everything is set up, the drive is right there in your computer folder as an actual drive!. At first I wasn't sure where in the My Computer folder it was because it doesn't have a drive letter. But I found it after I pressed O, as it was under "Other Devices". My only suggestion is to release an update where you install Opendrive's client and it integrates more with the drives. That is, it acts more like a regular drive on the computer, complete with a drive letter and everything. Also, the file pricing option is great for those of us who make music and want people to download it legally. I would definitely recommend Opendrive to everyone I know.

It does have Hotlinking and download speed is so high, so you can manage your files easy and access it everytime you want!

OpenDrive offers features not available with other service providers (Hotlinking, etc).I definitely worth checking if you are after that bit of extra functionality.

I had quite a few things I needed some storage on. I did not have a second computer or a jump drive to spare. I needed some cloud storage. I found Open Drive on another review web site. It was highly recommended. I was always weary of these places, but decided to give it a try. I was very satisfied and glad that I did. The download and upload speeds are great, and the web site layout is logical and easy to understand. This clearly is the wave of the future, and with places like Microsoft (Sky Drive) and Open Drive leading the way, we are bound to see plentiful results. Don't hesitate to give these guys a try. They offer a free trial service, that will help you make up your mind. I think after you use it, there will be no doubt in your mind, as to paying a little bit of money for something so incredibly useful.

Nice storage on free accounts and upgrade prices very reasonable. Free direct linking perfect for personal files that you need quick access to. Would recommend this to anyone thinking about trying tis service.

I've been using Opendrive as a means to transfer files from One computer to another and never thought how much time and effort it saved me. I store all my important images knowing that a catastrophe with my system doesn't mean losing years of priceless photographs and other important documents. Couldn't rate the service from Opendrive highly enough Brilliant.

So far I'm impressed with OpenDrive. I'm using the free service but never exceed the limit. I've never experienced downtime or had a problem with the download speed.

Great for Companies and Individuals

I am using the free 5 GB and plan to upgrade as they offer affordable plans. They appear to cover all bases with iOS and Android apps for file accessing.

I'm very satisfied of this service. I'll use it more and more, and I think tu upgrade it to the payment service.

its good to get direct streaming links of our files... overall its nice...

Direct linking is what makes this host my nr.1 choice but that's not all. Good design that makes it easy to use, easy embed for files. I will upgrade for sure in the near future.

I have signed up with OpenDrive, after being with bitcasa. They provide all the features that I always wished bitcasa had, such as the ability to properly sync selected folder on my computer and properly share folders. Unlimited storage with those features is an amazing combination.

I've just signed up for OpenDrive and already like it! My goal was to get a storage frm where I can share/embed my sound files with a player and OpenDrives just provides it for free in a professional way.
