This service is really great ! OpenDrive is a solid choice for anyone looking for reliable cloud storage. It offers plenty of storage options, whether you need it for personal use or your business. The plans are flexible, and the security features are top-notch, so you can feel confident your data is safe. Sharing files is a breeze, and the automatic backups and device sync make it super convenient to access your stuff from anywhere. The interface is user-friendly, and their customer support is pretty helpful too. While some of the advanced features might take a bit of getting used to, overall, OpenDrive is a dependable and secure option for cloud storage. I can only recommend it - 5 stars !

A real great service! Using it for streaming audio files to my website. The dashboard is easy to work with, streaming links are already made, and ease to use and implement. 10/10 for me so far!

Opendrive is easy to use, and have meet my needs rapidly. With the possibility of having notes and links to stream, it becomes fastly something that you can't do without?

The service is very useful for backup. It is not as useful for daily, active storage. Corrected suggestion: A possible improvement - improve its accesibility through Windows file explorer. On a PC with many NAS drive folders and "Quick Access" shortcuts to NAS drive subfolders, I am unable to make "Quick Access" shortcuts to the OpenDrive subfolders. I can pin a shortcut only to the root folder of the OpenDrive. OpenDrive already contacted me once and help me make it happen thank you very much. Dilemma number 2 is more urgent: I cannot remove an OpenDrive Quick Access link. If I delete a subfolder, the OpenDrive link doesn't go away. Yes, I've submitted a tech support request.

At first glance, OpenDrive seems to be great. Most reviews on Trustpilot are very positive; hence, I was eager to test the free account. And, indeed, the software is very easy to use with an interface that's easy to understand and logic. The desktop app, browser version and Android app have all similar interfaces with similar features. Using this software is really a breeze. I also found that the free account is great for watching pdf and image files and editing office files both on your pc and smartphone. The editing feature on a smartphone is clearly very useful. On the website you find at the bottom 'Support'. Click on it and on the next page at the top choose 'Submit a request'. Whenever you have a serious question the support team replies within a few hours on the same day. In my case even within two hours. I tried it four times. That's excellent! But after a couple of days testing I discovered that the description on OpenDrive's home page is not only DELIBERATELY wrong but also omits important information. 1. Click on 'Pricing' on the home page and see that OpenDrive offers a Personal plan with highlighted in blue the word 'Unlimited'. Also the description mentions "Unlimited Online Storage". Now click on the magnifying glass and type 'unlimited'. You get search results "Is Unlimited Storage Truly Unlimited?" After reading lots of nonsense about 99.9% of all users you read under the heading 'Bandwidth' "... these numbers are approximately 10TB for personal". Hence, there is no unlimited plan. For the people behind OpenDrive 'unlimited' means 10TB. Hence, highlighting in blue 'Unlimited' but hidden on its website that 'Unlimited' actually means 10TB is clearly fraud. 2. Click on the magnifying glass and type 'smartphone'. You get an article "Getting the Most of Your Smart Phone with Cloud Storage". This article describes in detail the importance of backing up everything on your smart phone. Eg, in the second paragraph you read: "If you’ve ever lost your personal phone, you know how painful it is to discover that your photos and videos are gone. By subscribing to a cloud storage provider, you won’t ever have to face this scenario again." But what's the reality? In the mobile app go to 'settings' - 'Auto-Backup folders' and read 'Select which types of files you would like to backup' and be amazed that only photos and documents can be selected. No contacts, no music files, no videos, no calendar, no sms, nothing of this. So, we can rewrite the article: "If you’ve ever lost your personal phone, you know how painful it is to discover that your videos are gone by subscribing to OpenDrive" :-) 3. Click on the magnifying glass and type 'security'. The first article is "OpenDrive Security". At the end of this article it's written in bold: "File encryption is done through our desktop apps only and is not possible through our website or mobile apps." I wanted to take a subscription due to the zero-factor knowledge encryption but now I discover that the mobile app is useless if I use zero-factor knowledge encryption. All of this information is hidden on OpenDrive's website. While the non-existing features of unlimited storage and phone back up are clearly fraud, the feature of zero-knowledge encryption is misleading because it can't be used on the mobile app. This is something you will only discover after taking a subscription as zero-knowledge encryption is not available in the free account. I also found that I couldn't stream MP4 and MKV files in the free account. The reason is described in the article "Is Unlimited Storage Truly Unlimited?" under the heading 'Bandwidth': "Free accounts have speed limited to 200 Kbps for upload and download." Of course, we can't expect that a free account gives the same advanced features as a paid account but wouldn't it be normal if this throttling with the speed is clearly mentioned on the home page? This means that with the free account movie files can't be streamed but only back upped. To summarize: At first I was very impressed with OpenDrive. The price seems to be excellent considering the easy and logic software including the mobile app combined with unlimited storage and zero-knowledge encryption. However, after I discovered that 'unlimited' means 10TB and that there's no complete phone back up and no zero-encryption for the mobile app I don't trust this company. What other features are missing but described somewhere hidden on their website? What if I get a hard disk failure and it appears that my data was not backed up completely or can't be downloaded completely??? This is something customers only know at the time they need to restore their data. Hence, a cloud storage company must be reliable in the first place. This can't be the case if the info of their cloud service is wrong!
