Nothing went wrong that required a claim fortunately, however, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this company. Upon submitting my claim I had multiple queries regarding the insurance, so I called the company. The customer service was extremely poor, my destination was Uzbekistan, and the customer service agent repeatedly asked me if this was a country. After answering yes multiple times they proceeded to get unpleasant, believing I was making up countries. They eventually hung up on me because of this. I called back and was hung up on again.
The company denied my claim without legitimate reasons. They assessed my claim under another irrelevant section and pushed me away. This is a company that just takes people money away without giving them any protection. If you go check those 5 stars review, people are giving a good review because the website is easy to use and for affordable prices. No one really have a good experience with them when it comes to filing a claim. AVOID WORLD NOMADS!

The usual ease of getting a quote. The log in menu can be confusing though, but very manageable. HOWEVER I think you need to stop charging for a full week when it's say a par week. Eg you seem to round it up to a full week, IE 4 weeks 2 days becomes 5 weeks for the premium charge. Not reasonable I think.
We really like the ease to register and the excellent reputation of the company.

World Nomads' website is super easy to use. The insurance products are clear and customers have options to suit their needs. The insurance is also priced well - WN is not out to gouge travellers, rather to provide insurance coverage for a trip that may or may not unravel in the future. I hope not to use the coverage, but am happy to know it is there. Highly recommend!

This review is for 'purchasing' the policy. I needed an extended policy (roughly 9mths) to Central and Sth America. The process with World Nomads was easy and straight forward. I also needed a shorter policy for a photography tour I'll host in Kenya/Uganda. Also easy and straight forward. Like any insurance they're only good if they're there when you need to claim. Fortunately Ive never needed to claim on a policy yet.
