We had an error in our travel dates that were promptly updated by customer service a couple of days after we received our policy. We have no experience with filing an actual claim but the response on this request seems to show they have a very good staff. Thanks Shiela.

I've purchased from World Nomads before. Its not too complex to order a policy. This time; however, I've hit a snag where I need to change something. Found that my policy does not show up in my account this time, and I cannot manage it online to upgrade or cancel coverage. Calling doesn't help because their automated phone system directs you to submit any changes in writing. So I had to submit an email that I hope someone replies to in a timely fashion. Their website is also pretty janky and unintuitive to navigate if you are trying to access account related information. The difficulty in reaching anyone to help you is concerning if I ever have to submit a claim, hopefully that department is the one that gets all the staffing. EDIT: World Nomads was far faster to respond to my poor review on here than to actually help me resolve my problem. 12 Days after my booking, somebody has finally responded to say they cannot modify my existing plan. I have to purchase a new one and then they will "make a 1-time exception" to cancel and refund the unwanted plan. So I've booked a new plan, but I lose out on benefits due to booking more than 7 days from the initial deposit made on the trip. And of course, this one doesn't show up immediately in my account either despite being logged when when making the purchase, so I also would have no ability to manage my plan online either. So just be advised that their supposed free look period is misleading. If you are dissatisfied or have an issue with your plan, you are at the mercy of someone from World Nomads responding to you within the 10 day period.

I did not need to claim insurance on this trip but have done on a previous trip. The World Nomad team were responsive, supportive and gave super clear information and it was easy to place my claim once the trip was done. World Nomad is now my default travel insurance especially when planning adventure holidays.

Something seems a bit off with this company. If they have to ask, read your plan and cancel if you want to, you probably are not getting a good travel insurance plan.

The process was very easy. The cost for insurance to cover our trip was much better than any other company I contacted. I will use this company to cover all future trips.

Overall, I liked the experience, but I wanted to buy insurance for me and my son and add skiing to his policy only, but I could not find out how to do it without me paying for skiing insurance as well, so I had to buy two separate policies instead, which was a pain, since I had already gone through the process of registering our information.

After a medical issue forced me to return home early from a trip, I'm still waiting for the medical review and assistance with returning home(after sending tons of paperwork). It's taken so long with no update that I went ahead and rebooked a flight myself. I guess that's what they hope will happen. I hope the claims process is better,

World Nomads not only offers competitive pricing and great cover, but are always responsive to any enquiry. We have been using them for over 10 years now and have always had a good experience. Recently we had to cancel a trip and within 48 hrs, all was sorted. Lauren and Nicole were both so communicative and made the process so easy. We will continue to use World Nomads for all of our travel insurance needs and highly recommend them for others too!

Your on-line clock is a mismatched for timeline for deadline. Sent emails (2) and called your US number 3 times to fix it but CS Rep (esp. Jerico) was the MOST UNHELPFUL. He made more excuses to not help and not even listen to the problem. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU. Fix your GMT timestamp issue when trying to purchase CFAR etc. and train your CS better!
