Dell Latitude with Windows 7 upgraded to 240Gig SSDHD and 8Gig RAM at an excellent price. Recovery disks are provided as standard so no unpleasant future surprises if you need to reformat etc. Windows activated my reinstall no probs, had a few questions which were dealt with politely and efficiently, will recommend.

returned a laptop which had a very dim screen... very dull grey couldn,t be brightened even my nephew agreed it was a very dull screen .. who knows a bit about computers... so i sent it back for refund....and accordind to valu computers there was nowt wrong with screen... so guess wot. paid £10 for delivery and £15 to return faulty laptop.........should of put the £25 towards a new one in currys and got free delivery and free returns...............(but you live and learn dont you) to be fair though they were fairly fast with partial refund

Excellent service. Two pre-purchase enquiries (one by phone, the other by email) answered promptly and helpfully by friendly staff. Once ordered, the laptop arrived quickly, and was very safely packaged. On delivery, everything I checked was working correctly, and it certainly deserved it's "Refurbished, Grade A" rating for overall condition. Very good. The only computer company that understood that I wanted a tough laptop with XP not modern windows that can only make pretty pictures and play games. Engineers need XP and earlier systems with serial ports etc.

This was my third laptop purchased from Val-U-Computers - a Dell Latitude E6330 which arrived superbly well protected in an air-cushioned box along with its power supply. The laptop case, keyboard and display were exactly as described by Valu - "Grade A" - meaning they were clean, scratch free and it was like powering up a new machine. I'd opted for the Windows 10 Pro upgrade and a 16Gb memory configuration (both £'s extra but well worth it!). An internal check showed a clean machine and the memory config was two 8Gb Samsung SODIMMS - one slightly newer than the other but both passed the Dell diagnostics tests without problem. (Access this at boot when the circular Dell logo appears by pressing F12 - then press ESC to stop a full system test, then select what you want...). Win10Pro was also OK to customise from the default Valu-supplied config - no junkware had been loaded, just the OS and a couple of links to access other apps if you wanted them. I have given Value 5* because the machine is exactly as advertised; from past experience their customer service is also first class and their products are good quality, refurbished with care and with attention to detail. On this one, the Hitachi hard disk (320Gb) showed no SMART data defects at all, but I did note it had run for over 10,000 hours. It would probably run for another 10k, such is Hitachi's reputation, but I decided to upgrade to a bigger 500Gb Hitachi Travelstar, courtesy of Amazon - just for my peace of mind, as the machine was for my daughter's degree studies. This in no way detracts from Valu's product - it was fault free - but I am picky on HDDs and needed more space so decided to replace it. I have no hesitation in recommending Valu - its been first, second and third time lucky for me!

The laptop I bought was exactly as specified and arrived in a very short time. I was advised by Vic, the Managing Director which laptop would be best for my requirements, and I would like to stress that the one he advised me to buy was NOT the most expensive on offer.
