I am not one who usually shares my experience when it's bad but I am leaving these reviews in hope that TouchBistro will reach out to me so I can resolve some issues. We purchased the system and went live back in October of 2019 for our new restaurant. The interface looked good but as far as the system being customizable to whatever you want it to do...It's not that. During our time the system lost orders, had issues updating the menu from the cloud to the POS and ultimately cost us around $750.00. The card readers continue to lose connection, the printers print to different locations randomly, and when the POS updated, it messes up because the Main Hub has not updated yet. We have a fairly small location so to attach a screen to our iMac Mini every few days is pretty challenging and if we don't, we start shift with these problems. That is what lead me to look for another POS and we found one that is far exceeding our expectations. Toast has been amazing! I called TouchBistro to cancel and the rep stated that he would send me an e-mail of cancellation and someone would reach back out to me to finish it up. I was on hold for around 1 hour and 20 minutes the first time I tried to cancel. I did get the e-mail but no-one ever called me back to wrap this up. Today I tried to reach out and was waiting on hold for 42 minutes before getting a rep who said he had to transfer me to the care team to get everything done. I was transferred, waited for about 15 minutes on hold, then the line picked up and hung up. I was very frustrated but decided, I need to take care of this so I tried in again. after a 52 minute wait I Spoke with another rep who after hearing my situation stated, "I'm really sorry but we will need to get you over to the care team to resolve this issue...Please hold". I stayed on the line and after another 10 minutes, the phone picked up, I couldn't hear anyone, and then my iPhone made that sweet sound that let me know that the line had been disconnected from again. Again....This is my first negative review for any business and the whole reason I am doing it is because I am a new restaurant owner and don't have time to call another time to get this resolved. I need someone at TouchBistro to reach out to me ASAP so that I can move on with this cancellation and try to salvage any of the money I have spent on all this equipment from them. I'm not sure if this company is better suited for coffee shops or something else but I just need help and no one is available to help me. It's becoming very frustrating.

Happy with our TB purchase so far. Impressed with the functionality. Have been using the system for just over a year now. The cloud reporting is great and my staff have found the system easy to pick up. Overall, it has been a good investment for my restaurant

One of the worst experiences ever. They get you locked into a contract but don’t tell you the nightmares on set up. Unlike other POS systems, Touch Bistro requires you have an actual Mini MAC running things, an amplifier WiFi router, hard wiring everywhere, splitters and you need to be fully closed to install ( it’s not 3 hours). For a POS there are too many points of failure. Additionally their customer service is terrible and will hold you to your contract even though it was never fully disclosed how cumbersome the set up is. Definitely do not recommend

TouchBistro SUCKS!!! Their customer service is non-existent>>>, and before you get to their sorry excuse for customer service you have to talk to some guy in India that is only told to keep you talking and tell you everything is going to be okay - What A JOKE! We had credit card problems right away, and then spent a small fortune paying fees because we had to manually enter numbers, and then we buy a "Better" card reader, and it sucks too! The whole time TouchBistro does nothing but talk, no refund, no help, not even a person to talk to about the issue, and if you do get to someone in their Toronto Office, they just hang up on you repeatedly so there is nothing you can do. I filed a lawsuit against them for cost in my state today, and I am working with the Attorney General's office to have their corporation removed from our state.

Have been a TouchBistro customer for a few months. Getting set up was so much easier than I thought, they couldn’t do enough for me. Initially there were a couple of support issues, but they let me know they were employing new staff. To their credit it seems like they have. Overall very happy with TouchBistro for my restaurant, it makes my life so much easier - thank you!

Not bad ... horrendous! A recent review by a professional reviewer said the customer service was "so so" ... not true and clearly a professional reviewer and not a restaurant owner. The customer service is not existent - they don't answer the phone, they don't respond to emails - I have no idea how to get through to this company. When I open the system - it defaults to December 2018! I receive countless error messages - some saying I have no data available. You MUST allow customers to indicate a tip on their bill. So even if you are are a fast food / counter only service - customers are made to answer the question - do you want to leave a tip. I have asked that this be removed - Touchbistro's answer - sorry - not sorry!

I purchased TouchBistro about 6 weeks ago and it has been nothing short of a disaster. We do a lot of catering and there is no way to manually enter a cc # nor can we pre authorize the order so that we can have the client sign and provide a tip once we deliver the food. TB decided unilaterally to change the time of my batch to 3:00 am which delayed my payments by another day. So now I’m effectively on a 3 day payout. There is no customer support our system has gone down multiple times and we just found out that Chase won’t support our card readers, I believe be because they are outdated , remember we signed up about 6 weeks ago and went live 2 weeks ago today. I t appears this is not the most up to date equipment. How did this POS system ever get good reviews. Call me if you are thinking of purchasing. Really snappy interface that my whole team got to grips with very quickly. Makes running the restaurant so much easier than our last system. Dealing with them initially is quite painful but worth persevering, loads of phone calls and meetings and talking through it. They could be a lot more transparent about their costs and pricing structure, it's not as simple as they make out.

When they say "We get restaurants" they truly do. Joe Pleece the sales advisor walked us through the whole process, proposing ideas and prompting us to think about things that we forgot about or hadn't crossed our minds. We had a handful of demos on specific areas of the platform and being the fussy characters that we are, we really scrutinised every bit of the functionality (we were amazed of the technical knowledge and industry experience that their sales advisors had). TouchBistro is a dream for anyone starting out in the catering industry - it really does cover every angle; making it so simple to change your menus - add a dish / remove a dish. Its just as great for staff management and stock management. Thanks again from all at Cafe Ciao.

TouchBistro so far been extremely useful for our Front of House operations. The support is very responsive and helpful. Could do with some work on the inventory management though.

I'm also surprised with some of the negative reviews. Touch Bistro have been instrumental in helping my restaurant grow, providing a good quality service with a highly technilogically advanced app. The system works well, and any issues we had were as a result of ipads being out of range from the server, which is not TouchBistro's fault. The service has been good and the helpline is very responsive.

I’m really confused at all the terrible reviews ! We’re a restaurant based in the North east England and we’ve really enjoyed Touch Bistro. The reports app helps me stay fully connected remotely to the restaurant and helps me look and plan most aspects of the business. We’re in the process of opening our second restaurant and I’ll be using Touch Bistro without hesitation. I’ve dealt with Chris Pomphret mainly and he’s always responded when I’ve needed him even with the time difference. I only have a couple of slight negatives in that touch Bistro doesn’t link up with our booking system or our card machine but I know that there’s an attempt to do so, so hopefully in the not so distant future that will happen. That is the only reason it’s a 4 star not a 5. I also think the small fee each month is so minimal based on the type of system I’ve got ! Thanks Sarah

We have now been using TouchBistro for over two months. There are a ton of positives such as it is easy to program and go in and change your menu and modifiers. It stores all your guest checks so if you have an issue you can go back to any date. Some of the negatives are that their software wastes paper. It does not allow you to email the customer a copy of the receipt like square's program. Instead it prints two mandatory copies!!!! We have been buying thermal paper rolls and single ply paper rolls by the bus load. Very wasteful. TouchBistro has been non responsive about this concern. Also initial wait times when issues came up we waited up to 45 minutes for help....not acceptable.
