I ordered a sample Apollo LED product and was very pleased with it. I then designed a room lighting project based on this product and sent it to Andrew at Apollo LED for comment. Andrew replied the next day to tell me that my design was interesting but that the product I was interested in using was not designed for primary room lighting. I very much appreciated Andrew's assessment. It helped me avoid making a big mistake. I still like their products and I will use Apollo LED when I design the room accent lighting.

I had a very good experience with Solid Apollo from my initial contact with Andrew to the installation of the lights and beautiful affect. I am in no way an electrician, so I had to talk to Andrew several times to make sure I was getting the right product. He was always very patient and helpful. The installation was easy. I put them above my cabinets with brackets, (attached with double-back tape). Electrical outlets had already been installed over each bank of cabinets during my kitchen remodel. The lights were compatible with my dimmer, as well. Thank you, very much. You will come highly recommended by us. BTW, we love that you are local.
Purchased a Warm White Driverless 5050 LED Strip Light 3000K 120V AC Options: Length: 98.41 Inches (250cm). Cost was $69.00 plus $11.45 shipping. I needed about 107" of tape lighting so I bought the closest size offered by Solid Apollo (SA). No, this is not a “custom cut” product, but simply one of a set of size options they offer. When the product arrived, I found it to be well made. However, unclear in the item description, is that it does not include a switch and has no means to mount it. Turns out if you want a switch to turn on the light and something to mount it, it's going to cost you about $150 more. This is dishonest in my opinion. I returned the item immediately to SA w/o calling first for a RMA # (knowing I wouldn’t receive one) on the grounds that the item was incomplete and of no use to me without spending significantly more money. While I was aware that the SA return policy does not include “custom cut” items, this product was not custom cut, but rather just one of the limited size options they offered online. If they truly offered custom cut then I would have requested and received a tape light in the length of 107.33! All they needed to do was refund my money and place the item back in inventory as it was a standard product they could easily resell. Instead they just refused receipt of the item and sent it item back to me. Great customer service! So my take away here is don’t do business with this company. I found an excellent tape light solution from Commercial Electric that I bought at Home Depot for less than $20. This product came with a simple adhesive back that was quick and easy to mount and a switch so I could do crazy things like turn my lights on and off. If even one potential Solid Apollo customer reads this and decides to shop elsewhere, then I will have successfully extracted my refund from this company.

Solid Apollo LED was easy to work with and provided prompt response to my questions. They even identified and proactively contacted me about a problem with my order that we were able to correct. Shipping was prompt. I would certainly return to them for future needs.

Andrew suggested a sample first before I purchased. Very helpful. Everything has worked well so far. One negative is the mounting clips for RBG strip. Kinda weak.
